Richard Thompson resigned from UCG on December 20, 2010
Given the track record of this man this is no great loss to
anyone that ever suffered under his autocratic rule. Ask the members of Dayton OH, that got him as a minister in the late 70's early 80's.
Then ask the students from Big Sandy that had to deal with him.

I would disagree. Dick Thompson was a great teacher and I enjoyed my time learning from him. He had a lot to offer. I never saw him to be hard handed ruler. Even though I may disagree with his theology, I don't think it is right to attack the person. I disagree with him, but I don't think people need to attack one another.
I know how he treated people in Dayton and various students at BS. If he has a softer side then I hope it has come out through the years. He certainly was not as bad as some minister I have seen, but still carries way too much baggage.
