Let Caeser Feed Your Hungry Neighbors

One of the hallmarks of a Christian is that a person is supposed to care for those less fortunate, the hungry, the imprisoned, the naked stranger at the gate.  This kind of caring does not stop with Christians. Agnostics, atheists, people of other religions all see the need to care for the less fortunate.

However for Church of God members that all flies out the window.  Herbert Armstrong and the Churches of God has had a long history of IGNORING the homeless, the hungry, the poor and the Samaritan at the side of the road.  The reason was, that if Church members spent money on the poor and the homeless, then that was money that was not being sent to Herbert Armstrong or any of the harlot daughters of Armstrongism.

In the late 70's there was a minister in Pasadena who was an alcoholic.  He had struggled with it and found that AA worked for him.  He got a small group of local Pasadena churches together to work on this issue.  HWA, Meredith, and other right wingers in the church had a fit.  They screamed and screeched till the man had to withdraw from the group.  Church members were then discouraged from attending AA meetings.  They were to find support and encouragement from REAL godly men who were Christs ministers on earth in the Church of God.

Another incident was right after Herb had shut down the Pasadena campus the first time around and before GTA was canned.  Ted wanted to use the Student Center to feed and clothe the homeless in Pasadena.  This went over like a lead balloon with Herb and crew.  Another screaming fit was had by HWA and Meredith about the lost income and the hungry, dirty, urine soaked homeless people that would be walking on God's most beautiful campus on earth.

Like every other issue Apostle Malm wants to get his grubby little hands in, he has something vitally import to say about this too:

A reader of the Apostles blog asks:

Hi James, We still have that freedom to own and run our property here in Tassy {AUSTRALIA} and as I mentioned before, owning and looking after live stock is a 24/7 job, we pay no one to work on the sabbath, I do what needs to be done ! and then call it a day. And as much as I dislike factory farming,{ours is notone} who or what will feed this ever increasing population ?

The Apostle replies:

Let Caesar worry about his increasing masses! We are called out of this world to learn a better way so that we can teach that way to others in the Kingdom! David was a shepherd and the farmers and herdsmen in the faith have a special opportunity to learn so very much! Let us learn from our circumstances and not get drawn into Satan’s ways of doing things; who knows what will come for us in the Kingdom? James

So, in other words, it is SATAN who has inspired people to take care of the poor in the cities, to feed them, clothe them, give them shelter!  Part of the real issue behind Malm, Meredith, HWA, and other COGlet ministers is that the homeless tend to be made up of a disproportionate number of blacks and Hispanics.  A true British Israelite knows that these people are 'gentiles' and therefore will be take care of later in the Kingdom when they are washed clean of their 'gentile' heritage. The stupidity that continues to come out of Apostle Malm's mouth is amazing.  The worst part are the FOOLS that think he is making sense!

whoever Malm is, perhaps he is getting too much press. I would like to know how many lobotomized humans actually take this guy seriously. I have always had the same question about the real number who follow Dave Pack, who, of course, has the most stupendous and incredibly effective work on the face of the earth and probably in the entire universe.

I think Malm is getting too much press here. Unfortunately, another weak-minded, brain-checker who accidently stumbles to this site and reads about him here, will venture over to Malm's site and will get hooked by another Armstrong wannabe. There will always be a following for these kind of charlatans. None of us will ever be able to stop that. We may think we are exposing them, but all we are doing is giving them another avenue for notoriety, and another chance to say that it proves they are right because they are being "persecuted"...and they love it.

Agreed Steve,

I never even heard of the guy until I saw him being discussed on this Blog. I still have not gone to his website; what for?

I guess that, much like I outgrew the WCOG, I'm outgrowing the need to rag on them.

I tend to agree with Steve. I didn't know who this disgusting character was until he was featured on this blog. I, too, have not ventured to his site and don't intend to do so. I have more profitable ways to use my time and computer.

I can see why in the WCG, some would get bent out of shape about AA, since according to the AA program, a person can name anything he wants as his "higher power" (hypothetically including a jar of dog poop that's used to smear on HWA's booklets and co-worker letters).
I believe that people who improve their drinking habits while attending AA achieve a positive result, more "in spite of" AA, than "because of" AA, since attending AA is often the by-product of having decided to heal one's drinking problem, even before walking through AA's doors.
AA's so-called "success stories" can be attributed to a person's personal resolve, and not to AA, since AA has not been shown to help alcoholism any more than no treatment at all does.
IIRC, there's an alcoholism treatment called Rational Recovery, which unlike AA, actually has been shown to have a success rate that's better than non-treatment.

Switching gears...
Although the COG's seldom help the poor and hungry, I know there are other Christian churches who don't either, often for reasons of racism and imagined exaltedness above others.

And is Malm getting too much press here? I don't know. He's certainly one who exemplifies the crazy of Armstrongist sycophants.

I wonder if Meredith, Flurry, Dart, Pack, Holladay, Weinland, Cox, or Meeker are jealous of the press Malm is getting here.

Perhaps they've been sending emails to this blog, fervently imploring that they be featured soon.

Norm,

You just gave them more press. :-)

I for one am glad to see the bottom feeder that Malm is exposed for the absurd things he preaches. The COG has always been filled with these spiritually ignorant little men. They start off just like Malm is doing writing articles, then start asking for money and the start organizing Feast sites and church services. Then we have another splinter cult that has formed. Anyone who exposes the sick mentality and hypocrisy of these men get my vote! Keep it up!

"Go ye therefore into all the world, preach the good news unto all the bastards of Satan. Starve the poor and discourage the feint of heart. Piss on those that love you and take funds from that have nothing. Rejoice in their misery and let the dead bury the living too. Move not on the Sabbath for it is the way and feed not thy cattle for the Gospel alone shall encourage them. Be anal for of such is my kindgdom of heaven. For great is your reward in heaven or hell depending."

So let it be preached. So let it be written

In a sense, discussing Malm here on this blog is kind of like watching certain mature themed movies or TV with your kids. As a parent would do with his child, we're able to explain and diffuse the mature theme, expose it for what it really is, and to add some "been there, done that" sensibilities to the discussion.

Anybody who finds out about Malm here is going to visit his site already prejudiced against him. And, if by chance, some of Malm's followers are defiant enough to visit here, they just may find our comments to be lucid and thought provoking, opening up the crack through which they ultimately find their freedom. Honestly, it would be even nicer if his followers came here to defend or debate his doctrines, so that we could further expose their error.

Having said that, failure to act in the Good Samaritan model which Jesus presented is failure to comprehend the very simplest basics not only of the New Covenant, but also the Old! If someone advocates defying it, you don't need to hear another thing which they have to say! I have no idea why Armstrongism made "Let the dead bury the dead" their all purpose paradigm for dealing with anyone outside their church, and even gave it precedence over the parable of the Good Samaritan, but this is perhaps the most blatant, screaming example of their very unChristlike doctrinal approach!

The more I hear about GTA, the more I like the guy. Public Relations guru, ladies man, a musician and philanthropist. Aside from his extreme hypocrisy, infidelity, and playboy lifestyle paid for by jane and joe-tithepayer, he probably wasn't all bad. Well, at least nowhere near as bad as HWA and Rod of Iron anyway.

Armstrongism ruined my family. Malm is one more in a long line of deviate heretics preaching garbage meant to enslave more people. I think anything that can be done to expose him and any of the other Armstrongites is a good thing!

Great material for those writing their Master's Thesis on abnormal psychology.

I have to agree that all this nonsense has to be revealed, no matter how tiresome it gets. After a while, it tends to get wearying.

MY COMMENT: I think we feed on it.

MY COMMENT: But, the "kids" aren't watching.

"Anybody who finds out about Malm here is going to visit his site already prejudiced against him."

MY COMMENT: Or, they become prejudiced against us. They may venture there to see why there is so much publicity. If they're really inquisitive, they will, and if they're a weak-minded individual searching for a nest, they may get snared. I remember one individual commenting who said that he never even heard about Malm until he came to this site, so he went over there and liked what he read. I don't think he's commented on here again.

"And, if by chance, some of Malm's followers are defiant enough to visit here, they just may find our comments to be lucid and thought provoking, opening up the crack through which they ultimately find their freedom."

MY COMMENT: Get real, BB! Do you remember the old WCG of the 60s and 70s? It's still that way today in the splinter cults. If it wasn't from Armstrong, it was of the devil. Do you really believe that they would even visit here? If they did, it wouldn't be for "lucid and thought provoking" comments. It would be to see what the devil is up to, and to bolster their martyr complex.

Well, then, Steve, I must ask you that age old question: "Why are we here???"

It's not a hopeless lock. The very fact that we are all here means that others from the same places can join us! And, we get to assist. Isn't it exciting?

I don't know why you're here, BB, but I'm here because I enjoy reading what others have to say. I even enjoyed conversing with Malm for a short while in the beginning until he made his agenda clear, and I started critiquing him. At that point, he's the one who stopped conversing.Anyone who really believes and follows him will not venture here, anymore than someone who believes and follows Tkach and company, or the splinter cults. Hey, I even enjoy reading what you have to say. :-)

Armstrongism was far removed from the grace that our father has extended for salvation.

Malm's theology is as far removed from leading to the Kingdom of God as was HWA's. Sadly, from the comments at his blog, He seems to have quite a few following him.

Matthew 25:32-46 gives the answers to the final exam. If he wants to try to enter the Kingdom by scurrying around or climbing over the wall Christ calls him robber and a thief.

Malm and the Armstrongites actively ignore Jesus Christ and think they can obtain salvation another way like commanding the keeping of the Old Covenant which Christ said in John 4 had ended and Paul clearly condemned.

According to one study 80% of people who are born into a fundamentalist religion stay there. At least 20% are astute enough to question their faith.
