The Reason Behind Malm's Superstitious Religiosity

I know we all wonder what happened in James Malm's life
to make him such a superstitious religious imbecile.
Today I happened to find the reason for Apostle Malm's issues.
He got this trait from his mother!

Malm's mother was featured on the news in 1984.
Check out this lost footage of the interview with his mother.

Was this meant to be serious?

If so, the riddle is solved...

In a followup story I remember seeing at the time, a very young-looking Walter Bishop was interviewed from his Harvard University lab, and he said the toaster itself was broken! It didn't even work! Scientific investigation proved that what was happening there was that there was actually a wormhole being generated between Mrs. Malm's toaster and the very throne of Satan himself! The only reason why the toaster still worked at all is because the toast was passing between this world and the fires of hell, where the bread became toasted (naturally) and then the wormhole spit it back out from hell through the slot! It also explains why she was able to hear the voice of Satan, and how Satan was able to sign her toast. A most remarkable scientific anomaly, and all true, I swear!

I'm thinking in light of seeing this that Malm is who he is because of a rigid, magical and haunted religious upbringing.

We all are the product of some environment with some more balanced than others. Some are horrific.

I'm not going to poke fun of or comment on any further. As I have said to others, I've not had lunch with him as others have not with me so it's only fair to extend him the same courtesy in life.

Earth School is interesting :)

Obviously, this is not Malm's mother and we can prove it!

That was white bread she was using!

It makes good toast, and you don't even have to plug it in!
