Dave Pack Gloats That Virtually ALL Former and Splinter COG members Will Join His Group Within 1-2 Years!

After a long dry spell the apostle Dave is back gloating about what a magnificent Church he leads.  It has been a great year for the TRUE Christians in the RCG who God favors highly while punishing the pagan filth around the rest of the world. RCG members are set apart from the evil hitting the world right now because they are soooooooooooooooo special.  The called out ones, the chosen few, the elite, the future rulers of space worlds and gods to be.
The year 2012 is now behind us. What a wonderful year it was for God’s Church. Sadly, it was the worst year on record for all nations of Earth. The masses are frightened as never before about what lies in store for the world—and themselves. Sadly, few understand and almost no one is preparing for the “snare” that Jesus Christ warned of in Luke 21:35 that will “come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.” The result will be that few will “escape all these things” (vs. 36) that Jesus described. Millions in the world, but also many of God’s people, think they are “spiritually prepared,” yet will soon wish they had been more careful—more thoughtful—about their spiritual condition.
All of those foolish COG groups that split off and formed irrelevant groups like United Church of God, Living Church of God and Philadelphia Church of God have absolutely NO fruit to show for their apostasy.  Only Dave has had mind numbing growth unparalleled in the COG universe!

The organizations (small, medium and large) that formed from the Worldwide Church of God in the wake of the apostasy grew very little or in most cases not at all in 2012! In fact many, or even most, declined in size, and in virtually all well-established categories of measuring fruit. Ironically, these organizations each month post their Member Letters before the whole world on their websites in hopes that such “trolling” for members will yield growth. (Why else would one address a letter to one set of people and then send it to everyone else?) But, with God having supplied no fruit to back up their organizations—since He is not leading them—the growth never comes. How is it that they are not embarrassed—ashamed—to post such hollow letters?
I  am, sure Dave is cowering in his shoes right now with the prospect of prophet Thiel's new group. Whats with the "trolling" accusation? That is certainly rich coming from a church that has bragged about the ministers and members they have stolen from UCG and others recently.

But we DO have the fruit—TREMENDOUS fruit!—that the other organizations lack. This is because we also DO have God’s leadership, having Christ as the Head of the Church. Hence the reason for only ONE letter annually like this one written to the splinters—not also written to members and co-workers! Our single goal is to show the fruit of God’s Spirit and leadership at work here to those who care—for those who want to know what they are missing.

Dave stupidly feels that there are thousands and thousands of confused COG members out there looking for a new group to go to.  Never fear, Dave is here!  Dave is ready to welcome all of the disillusioned into his group with open offering envelopes waiting.

Today, literally thousands of former WCG members are wondering where to attend—what to do. While some no longer care about the doctrines, traditions, standards—and fruit—of an organization, many still do. These brethren would be carefully examining available options, looking for what they were taught and once enjoyed under Mr. Armstrong’s leadership of the Church. They know these things are visible only to those looking for them! Understanding Christ is not divided, and that all who are led by God’s Spirit will ultimately walk in truth, and “speak the same thing” (I Cor. 1:10, 13), they become candidates to find the one place where Jesus Christ is truly the Head of His unified Church and Body.

The delusional idiot then goes on to quote all kinds of statistics on his amazing cult.  Then he gets into the new cable stations he will soon be broadcasting on. He naively assumes that his viewing audience is going to increase by the millions  because of the number of subscribers. The multiple missions of viewers he is claiming as his own will NEVER watch his idiotic program!

Looking ahead in 2013, an immensely powerful worldwide expansion of The World to Come approaches! In fact, here comes TREMENDOUS NEWS! We are finalizing plans to be on two—TWO!—more television networks: (1) The Word Network—and on January 24!!!—with satellite broadcasting coverage in well over 200 countries and territories, including all of North and Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Australia, the Middle East and all of Asia. (2) Grace TV—set to begin February 17—which reaches over 70% of all Canadian households! This network is Canada’s largest provider of primetime Christian programming, and it will be our first Sunday morning primetime slot for The World to Come.

According to a 2010 report by IDATE Consulting & Research, there will be an estimated 1.2 billion households with at least one television around the globe in 2013. In the U.S. alone, The Word Network will reach 86 million of 114 million TV homes via cable and DIRECTV (this is in addition to our current ION coverage). Latin America has a potential 132.8 million TV households. Europe has 260.9 million. There are another 10.7 million in South Africa. Australia has 120 million, with the rest of Asia having another 565.7 million TV households. Although everyone with a television does not have satellite reception, these figures speak volumes as to the potential magnitude of this new worldwide network. To maximize impact, we chose an overnight time slot in the U.S., which airs during the morning hours in Europe and South Africa, and through the prime evening hours across Australia and the Far East.

Dave then moves on to talk about dramatic "healings" happening in his group.  It is quit obvious reading these that there are no healings going on in any of the splinter groups.  That is the impression Dave is trying to get across.

He has had blind people given sight, wheelchair bound people walking again.  These pale in comparison to a church member who was in a head on collision that did not injure them because the van "passed through" their vehicle.

While carpooling home from services two members were miraculously protected. A van suddenly appeared directly behind them, traveling at such a high rate of speed that a collision was unavoidable. As the van made contact with their rear bumper, instead of hearing a loud crash, they heard what they described as a “swoosh.” The van had passed through their car, appearing immediately in front of them! The van continued speeding down the road and then exited the highway, leaving the two ladies unharmed and the vehicle completely unscratched. On a personal note, this event mirrors exactly miracles both Mr. Dale Schurter and I have experienced and reported to the Church.

Then to top it off Dave brags that he was able to turn a tornado away from the entire city of Wadsworth so that it went on to kill and damage others. He also claims to have the power to have turned Hurricane Sandy by 90 degrees so that it would not make its way into Wadsworth!  When pigs fly!

Finally, at Headquarters we often read of God protecting His people around the world from storms, wildfires, flooding, hurricanes and other weather disasters, but in the relatively peaceful area of northeast Ohio, there seemed not to be the same need for intervention. Tuesday, July 3, was an exception. Just after 11:00 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Wadsworth and surrounding areas. Doppler radar showed a giant storm cell capable of producing a tornado heading directly toward the city from the northwest. Minutes later it became more serious when an official tornado warning was given, meaning a tornado in the area was visible on radar—and only 10 miles from Headquarters and the building project, moving straight toward us. All HQ employees moved to the basement as the storm continued on its projected path. There, I asked for God’s protection over His people through the dangerous storm, and that He would protect the present Headquarters building and the site of the future campus, acknowledging that it is God whom we ultimately rely on for protection. It soon became evident that God had at that moment intervened. Right after the prayer, the HQ staff saw that the storm (via radar online) had dramatically changed direction—during the prayer!—from its southeasterly course to nearly due south, and then later turned again to continue moving easterly to the south of Wadsworth. The city was entirely untouched by the tornado! We received only a little rain. Two staff members (who were off-site meeting with people involved in the construction project) actually witnessed the tornado from the west side of town as it turned south to go under the city. Of course, everyone was tremendously inspired to see God’s clear hand of intervention for His people and Work. It was truly faith-building. So was watching Hurricane Sandy suddenly turn 90 degrees north while still in Pennsylvania without which turn there would have been enormous damage to our new building. This is because the storm was coming from the east where the installed glass was not ready for it on the building’s west side.

Yes sir!  God is Only on Dave's side.  Those pussy evangelists in Edmond and Charlotte cannot produce such miracles as Big Dave can!  Big Dave can also wrestle with demons and cast them out too!

None of this speaks to regular dramatic healings, demons cast out, many miracles, open doors, blessings and incredible GROWTH in all categories.
Dave then goes on to claim his church within the next 1-2 years will be the largest and most effective church of God ever.  Thousands upon thousands of former member will be returning to it.  Eventually every single COG member who still has God's spirit in them will be leaving their group and coming to Dave's.

An unbelievably powerful Work is underway in The Restored Church of God. This is because we did not break the grand pattern set by Mr. Armstrong—any of it! It is because Jesus Christ actually does HEAD this Church. In one to two years maximum, the profile of God’s Church and true Work on Earth will be beyond imagination. It will take your breath and leave your ears ringing. The good news is that more ministers and members are leaving ALL of the splinters to return to God’s one Church. Eventually ALL with God’s Spirit—every single person—will return to His Church. To see more and more people waking up to the false doctrine, wrong standards, poor fruits and continually worsening condition of their organizations has been most encouraging. Many thousands will join us! (In fact, prophecy reveals this.) This means our power, impact and growth will be further affected upward. We expect to be the largest presence—the loudest voice!—in religious television in the world some time in 2014. And this will be backed up by the largest amount of literature ever compiled by any single organization on the face of the earth.
You can read the entire myth here:  The Restored Church of God: Much Fruit—Proof God Leads This Church!

MY COMMENT - Why didn't God provide the same miracle to Richard Armstrong - HWA's son - who died in a head on automobile accident in the late 1950s? Or is God a respector of persons?

Dave braggs:

"So was watching Hurricane Sandy suddenly turn 90 degrees north while still in Pennsylvania without which turn there would have been enormous damage to our new building.

Yeah..Noreasters are known for heading West into Ohio and going North is very very rare. Going East is even more rare thus the name, Noreaster.

Hurricane Hugo etc, that devestated the Southeast would have been hell for Bismark, North Dakota had it not miraculously turned north and east until it died out. whewwwwwww

Of course we know that had a storm touched Daveyland, it would be spun (no pun intended) as Satan trying to destroy the one true work, thus ALSO proving God's blessing.

Weather has always been the favorite tool of Fundamentalist and Bronze Age Baal worshippers God's pleasure or displeasure with them. Well, mostly others..not them.

Doing one's homework on all things theological to see if you aren't blowing smoke about yourself or Biblical origins, intent, meaning and context would be too difficult. Weather reading is just so much easier and always points to ones awesome and overarching work and being. Why give that up!!

Dave crows:

"So was watching Hurricane Sandy suddenly turn 90 degrees north while still in Pennsylvania without which turn there would have been enormous damage to our new building."

One of the main reasons they call storms like Sandy "Noreasters" is because of their tendency not to go West. They miraculously tend to go up the coast in a northerly and while Sandy was a big one, continue north and then east.

Nortoofarwesters are very uncommon.

We do know that had any bad weather actually hit Davneyland it would have been credited to Satan who is endeavoring to destroy God's True Headquarters. Fundys and Bronze Age Baal worshippers can't lose!

A miss = God loves us (ME)
A hit = Satan hates us (ME) but God still loves US (me)

Doing the hard work of theological, historical and political study of Bible origins, intent, meaning, writing styles, language and context is waaaaaay to hard, takes too long and would put me out of business.

The "knowledge shall be increased" time of the end stuff is not a bad thing. It means the end of religion and theology done badly and of self absorbed and ego centric men and women hogging up all the oxygen.

Well, I must say that Davey and his church is already beyond my imagination. "It will take your breath and leave your ears ringing." "...the grand pattern set by Mr. Armstrong..." Seriously? It's beyond my imagination who still falls for this crap.

Dave Pack dogmatically asserts: "In one to two years maximum, the profile of God’s Church and true Work on Earth will be beyond imagination. It will take your breath and leave your ears ringing."

Do these COG gurus ever learn anything from their past prophetic track records - now after many decades still at ZERO having come to pass as predicted?

OK, Dave, you've now publically made this specific date-oriented prediction about your group, so you can bet many will be watching and reminding you in January of 2015 when you're still a little, ineffectual COG then that your boast back in January of 2013 was little more than the empty blasts of hot air we've come to expect from you and your ilk.

It seems the suckers who again and again fall for Dave's braggadocio just can't resist wanting to believe it every time he trots it out as a rhetorical technique, ever more magnified in both content and tone. Simply astonishing that there never seems to be an end to those eager and willing to squander their lives and financial resources for useless snake oil.

BEYOND IMAGINATION.
TAKING MY BREATH.
LEAVE MY EARS RINGING.

Ok, Dave. You've made a dogmatic prediction here. Two years, MAXIMUM. Holding you on your word here. Beyond imagination means:

GREATER than ANY work by ANY Christian or as you say "So Called Christian" work on this planet. This means GREATER than anything I can find, ANYWHERE.

TAKE MY BREATH AWAY. Good luck here Dave. It's going to take much, much more than buildings and mail processing centers and things like that to do that. You will have to PUBLICLY do things that are BEYOND miraculous - AND for the GOOD - to cause me to even blink. The ONLY thing that will take my breath away will be if you turn away from the false gospel you teach, the pride i feel you show so arrogantly, and actually see love and humility and the fruits of the spirit (NONE OF WHICH ARE GROWTH, DAVEY). If that happens, then THAT will take my breath away.

Ears ringing? Well now thats a different story. Just listening to your blabber leaves my ears puking. Does that count?

Two years. Maximum. K, you said it, not me, but we're not letting you forget you said it! :))

Let's see. Seven billion people on this planet. How many do you think will pay any attention to Dave and his obscure boadcasts? I've never heard of those stations, but I have to admit that I don't go searching for religious drivel anywhere anymore. I don't think the average Joe or Mary Blow does either.

If he reaches some starry-eyed fanatics in isolated areas, he'll be doing well. I doubt any of them will be influential, moneyed people, and if he catches any, they will only add to the mentally addled already in his congregations.

Think back. How much came of HWA and his "Ambassador for world peace" baloney. Oh, all those "world leaders" were happy to attend his lavish dinner parties and accept his gifts while they listened to his give versus get baloney he claimed was preaching the gospel. The end result was a big zero as far as "the work" was concerned.

Those who now sit in positions of authority all over the world would say, "Herbert who?"

In the eyes of the WCG membership, though, such superficial meetings really did give HWA a great deal of prestige, and, of course, more reason to send in their money to HQ to finance those highly exaggerated photo opps - so from that angle it produced the intended effect that bamboozled those who occupied the limited worldview HWA had carefully crafted within the minds of his followers. The real purpose behind such publicity stunts were not so much to "do the Work" as they were to impress the membership and convince them to keep sending in those tithes and offerings - a classic example of an organization falling into the pitfall of actually "believing their own advertising."

To be fair, Dave successfully predicted the WCG doctrinal changes before it was on anyone's radar in Ohio. However, his following was (and is) small because even if you are right, nobody will follow you if you are a dick!

So, maybe his next prediction will also come true? It won't change my mind, though, he's still a total dick!

Pack knows nothing about human psychology. If he secretly believes that all will gravitate to him within the next two years, then he should keep it to himself. What he has done by his forecast is to set off a wave of advance resistance.

If RCG becomes the largest COG over the next 2 years wouldn't that make them the Laodiceans? Aren't they going to be the largest COG in the end? And Pack will reign supreme as the Laodicean leader.

Redfox712 said [in a letter on his blog]...

"RCG observes the seventh day Sabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset) and the feasts mentioned in Leviticus 23. This teaching also comes from Herbert W. Armstrong."

In case you did not know it, this teaching ALSO comes from the GOD of the Bible. Perhaps you have never heard about the Ten Commandments, especially the one that says to "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God..." (Exodus 20:8-11, NIV).

For those who hate the Old Testament and who hate the God of the Old Testament, the New Testament says that "He [Jesus] went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read" (Luke 4:16, NIV).

In case you are not only biblically illiterate but also ignorant of church history, at the Council of Laodicea in A.D. 363 the following law was passed: "Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, resting rather on Sunday. But if any be found to be Judaizing, let them be declared anathema from Christ."

The result is that today about a billion Catholics think that Sunday is the biblical day to play golf, and about another billion people in the Catholic Church's Protestant daughter churches think that Sunday is the Sabbath.

About a billion Muslims also hate the God of the Bible, but don't like the Catholic and Protestant stuff, so they say that Friday is their day of assembly.

Redfox712, I'm not sure you are clever enough to be a fox. Maybe a snake?

May I suggest that you stop spreading your ignorance and get a Bible, a book about world religions, and a book about church history.

Sure, Jesus obeyed the Sabbath rules. He was a good Jew, under the Old Covenant. Those who claim to obey the Old Testament Laws do not, really. They don't stone those who break the Sabbath; destroy cookwear that is "unclean." They eat food from restaurants whose grills had unclean met on it and they trim their beards, etc. They are inconsistent. Christians don't obey the Law of Moses because it was part of a covenant that was temporary, inferior and replaced by something better.

Sure, some people think that God's ways are just temporary, passing fads. In contrast, they think that all their own strange ways have lasting value.

Sure, some people think that the things that God Himself came up with are inferior to their own ideas that they borrowed from pagans.

Sure, some people in the past might have thought it expedient to reject God's Sabbath and have it replaced by something better like Sunday-keeping. That way they wouldn't get arrested, tortured, and killed by a pagan Roman emperor like Constantine. No wonder observing the Sabbath seemed like such a burden, and ditching it for observing Sunday like the pagans must have felt like they had passed from death unto life.

Those who claim to keep God's laws do not and they can't explain why. Christians under the New Covenant don't claim to obey the Law of Moses and can explain why.
