Prophet Thiel: State of the Union Failing Because of Gays. U.S. Should Kill Them and Then Repent

False prophet Bob Thiel felt he had to weigh in on President Obama's State of the Union address last night.  In typical COG fashion, the prophet blamed the economic issues today on those pesky gays.

So, despite talking about deficit reduction, the reality is that the US government debt, according to the above report, went up $5,860,000,000,000.  And this does not count the trillions that the Federal Reserve more or less created in its “quantitative easing” and other programs.  These two realities, combined, are showing the world that at some point in time, unless there is a major change in the economy of the USA (which could come from energy development, new technology, etc.–it is growing the economy, and not the government which is what can lead to significant economic growth) that the US dollar will collapse.

The Bible shows that it is sin that is the real driver for debt:
15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country…43 “The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.   45 “Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.  (Deuteronomy 28:15-16, 43-46)
 The false prophet continues:

The movement to expand homosexual issues in the USA mainly keeps going forward, despite biblical injunctions that are opposed to it:
The false prophet then advocates for the death of all who are gay and those who befriend them:

...those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18-32)
God's greatest end time prophet should move to Wichita and move in with the Fred Phelps clan.  He would fit right in.

What false prophet Thiel is all ticked off at is the gay marriage thing.  I know one gay couple locally who have adopted three children with serious health issues, including MS.  No Christian straight couples cared enough or wanted to adopt them. Two of the kids are in wheel chairs and have had multiple operations to keep them alive.  The third has had multiple surgeries on his spine and legs to allow him to walk for a few years before he too will be confined to a wheel chair. This boy also has a colostomy and knows how to take care of cleaning and changing it. They are the happiest kids you could ever meet. Always smiling and whipping around in their wheel chairs like they are running.

So is false prophet Thiel’s god just itching to throw these two guys into the lake of fire?  Apparently so.

Oh, I forgot to add...these two guys are devout Christians.  Have brought their kids to church every single week.  The kids know about God and have an understanding about Jesus that puts the viewpoints of healthy Christians to shame.  Yet false prophet Thiel wants to see these kids fathers killed because they are not REAL Christians.  The only REAL Christians now seem to be in the Continuing Church of God.

Then false prophet Thiel declares what the problem is and the solution that he has laid out in his book:

Scripture shows that is dangerous.

Hence, the State of the Union is not good.  The USA needs national repentance and I saw no call for that in last night’s speech by the US President nor the Republican rebuttal by US Senator Marco Rubio.
Hence, the State of the Union is not good.  The USA needs national repentance and I saw no call for that in last night’s speech by the US President nor the Republican rebuttal by US Senator Marco Rubio.
In terms of economic direction, the following is from my book Barack Obama, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States-Second Edition for Second Obama Term:
Barack Obama was influenced by various people with Muslim, Marxist, and anti-colonialist backgrounds in his youth and some have suggested that this affects his current decisions.  In the 2007 edition of his book, originally published in 1995, Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance, Barack Obama makes what seems to be anti-colonial statements and even claims that he sought out “Marxist professors” in college.  Influences in his youth did affect his writings, and perhaps his later readings…
Interestingly, the Russian newspaper Pravda stated, “Barack Obama…is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so.”  (Thiel B.   Barack Obama, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States-Second Edition for Second Obama Term.  Nazarene Books, 2013, p. 13)
The State of the Union is not good.  People need to turn to Jesus and His Kingdom.
Did false prophet Thiel actually say "Jesus" without adding Christ to it??????  Shocker!  Though the question now needs to be asked.  Which "Jesus" is false prophet Thiel talking about?  The COG "Jesus" sitting in heaven so incredibly pissed that God has to hold him back with his right arm preventing him from coming to earth to destroy humanity? Or was it the Jesus who ate with whores, fags, tax collectors and other "unworthy" people?  Who healed the companion of the Centurion, who forgave the thief on the cross without ever requiring a reading of the Mystery of the Ages or not eating a ham sandwich and who said the "least of these will enter the kingdom before the haughty and proud?

I know which one I would rather follow and it certainly is not the thing that false prophet Thiel claims to follow.

This all assumes the United States is a lost tribe of Israel and that's just a lie: When you've failed at the truth of that, the rest is like trying to divide by zero -- undefined at best and insane at worst.

"People need to turn to Jesus and His Kingdom"

A kingdom that's in some Boob's imagination, filled with hate?

A Jesus that hates restrictions on assault weapons, and hates consumer protection laws, and wants to pretend this country was founded as a "Christian nation"?

I don't think so!

It used to be the Celtics worshiped a collection of gods. When it didn't rain, or when the crops failed, and they began to run out of food, and every other avenue to twist the arm of the relevant god had not brought relief, they started sacrificing humans. Sometimes preserved bodies are found in the peat bogs of people who were sacrificed to these imaginary gods. The funny thing is, there is absolutely no connection between killing a person and precipitation or crop yield. But these are the kind of crazy cause-and-effect relationships that are put together within the mind addled with religion.

This is no less true today. If Prophet Bob were to get into an auto accident, his religiously addled mind would probably turn back to any immediately previous infraction that he might have felt guilty about, such as, "Oh dear, I knew I shouldn't have masturbated in the shower before I got on the road." And suddenly he'll be 100% certain that the cause of the auto accident was something he did wrong in the shower instead of something he did wrong behind the wheel. Because, as everyone has always known all the way back into the mists of antiquity, god is the direct cause of everything, and he likes to switch things around like that. Mysterious ways and all that jazz.

That was just a hypothetical of course. I'm sure that Prophet Bob hasn't committed any major sin since he was baptized. And since he was accidentally made into a prophet I'm sure he'll never sin again. Unless he goes all Ratzmann on somebody's ass someday, but that's a subject for another day. Anyway, the cause-and-effect relationship proposed by Prophet Bob (and others too) between homosexuality and macroeconomics is nothing but superstition and magical thinking.

LOL! Now prophet Bob is going to think that you, Head Usher, has somehow alleged in a hypothetical form by chance that he , God's Chosen Prophet and Pastor and Overseer of God's One True Church, hypothetically had an issue with some sort of a, oh, little bit of a problem with, shall we say, "A Thorn In the Flesh "!! HOW DISRESPECTFUL AND INNAPPROPRIATE he would say! Of course you were hypothetically kidding with the choice of analogy, and we all know that. But I am willing to bet you made ol' Prophet Bob a little red in the face with that one!

I find shallow Bob's swarmy comments and self righteous misapplication of scriptures to be offensive. He tends to come up with one topic and use scriptures that are unrelated and out of context to address that topic.

If it is one Bible tale that most misuse to attack what has come be called sodomites, which I suppose today means gay, (It was too long and hard to call people gomorrahites evidently) it is the story of Sodom in Genesis. Somehow a whole town of gay men and boys (is there such a place?) wanted to have sex with Lot's guest Angels. Personally, I'd be real careful about that and you might get more than your bargained for, but go with me on this. That sotry is a hospitality tale and has NOTHING to do with homosexuality.

http://ezinearticles.com/?Getting-Sodom-Straight:&id=93722

Secondly, if you read Romans 1 you could also get the view that the sin was worshipping the creature more than the creator and the punishment was being given over by God to homosexuality. The sin in Romans 1 is worship of false gods and not seeing creation as the proof of God. The sin was not the sex. Who knows...the author Paul, in my view may very well have struggled with homosexuality himself and while not practicing it and doing all he could to not do so, "sometimes the thing I should not do I do, and the things I should do, I do not..." etc.

Paul was not interested in marriage or women is evident by his talk about it and them. Paul said he "beat himself into subjection lest after preaching to others he became a castaway." He wasn't being metaphorical. He really beat himself as some Catholic priest might or some Sunni. Paul called himself a wretched man and sounded every bit like a guilt torn gay man who lived in a culture where what he could not understand about himself would get him killed.

Paul swung between being the "least of the Apostles" and "working harder than them all...and not least among them." Paul talked like a man torn up over something and with a "thorn in the flesh" that may have been more than poor eyesight or bronchitis...

At any rate, Bob is majoring, as do all COG's in the minors and has , in my view, "little man syndrome."

There are far more liars, thieves, charlatans and ignorant prophets, priests and Apostles in Christianity than gay human beings.

Bob can be amusing to watch. He can make your bones crinkle watching his videos and his awkward presence is sometimes...well....gay. lol But he has no right to play God or be a mere Bible reader condemning people whose shoes he has never walked in and whose lives he has never lived.

Bob is an example of everything that is wrong with religion and especially ministry towards others.
NO2HWA is correct. Jesus was drawn to people Bob would never spend one minute with. But that is classic WCG/LCG .

As long as I am at it, I also am offended that Bob is self ordained. When it comes right don to it, he is NOT anything. No one has recognized him. He was not ordained to any calling by anyone and is a fake theologian. He has not done his homework and like RCM before him, mistakes moving his mouth and Bible reading for teaching and instructing in truth.

The boy does get on my last theological nerve evidently...:)

PS I have one gay client who had the resources to adopt 4 Children and one with a handicap and give them lives they NEVER would have had.

Another , as a nurse, met a teen who was going to abort her unexpected pregnancy and he and his partner asked her to not do so, they'd adopt and pay all expenses. She didn't and they did. At the little girl's baptism in the Baptist church he had attended for 30 years, a member "outed" him to the new pastor who promptly gave him a video on "How not to be gay." It came with the instructions that if not understood, you are not welcome here. He was kicked out of his own church of his youth. He called me crying to talk. I learned more in that 15 minute conversation about real humanity than in 30 years with WCG and most of my pastoral aquaintances.

I saw him a few weeks back and their girl is beautiful and doing just fine...

At the little girl's baptism at the baptist church he grew up with over 30 years, a member outed him to the new minister. The minister took him into the study and gave him a tape on "How not to be gay." If it worked, he could stay. If not, he was kicked out. He got kicked out and called me crying .

I learned more in that conversation about kindness, compassion and religion than I ever did in homophobic WCG and from the God haunted saints.

I'm sorry, but I'd really like to ask Bob, "Are you an Israelite living in the Old Covenant land of Israel or are you a Christian?" Why? Because I thought as a Christian our "citizenship is in heaven" (Phil 3:20). So aren't we supposed to be following and reflecting Christ's attitude and example? Aren't we supposed to be judging ourselves rather than pointing the finger of blame at our brothers and sisters in Christ (Lk 6:37; 1 Cor 11:31)? Didn't our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ say, "He who is without sin cast the first stone" (Jn 8:7)? Didn't He tell a politician, "My kingdom is not of this world" (Jn 18:36)? I'm sure if your transgressions (or the consequences of such transgressions) were public knowledge would you be so quick to condemn yourself worthy of the same Mosaic penalty (as you so readily mete out on others) (Jam 2:13; 4:11-12)?

"Aren't we supposed to be judging ourselves rather than pointing the finger of blame at our brothers and sisters in Christ"

That's all Armstrongism does.

First of all, they looked at all the other "brothers and sisters in Christ" and condemned them as "falsely so-called".

Then, they threaten their OWN brethren with the lake of fire if they don't give enough, do enough, etc. - judging their OWN members' Christianity.

The only attitude and example they all seem to mutually agree to replicate was the one of Herbert Armstrong, and that's all I need to say about that.

I should say "that's all Armstrongism does in most cases". I know this was the case in Worldwide days, but I'm not sure if the others are as conservative as the old WCG...

Spiritually-blinded Bob Thiel wrote:

"...The movement to expand homosexual issues in the USA mainly keeps going forward, despite biblical injunctions that are opposed to it ... those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18-32)..."

Bob Thiel, like Rod Meredith, likes to blame and judge human beings...their brothers and sisters. Bob mentions Romans 1, and applies those verses to human beings.

I submit that Romans 1 is speaking about Satan and his angels, who control and use human beings to do their will (2 Tim 2:26;I John 3:8) in causing sin. Here's some of Romans 1:

:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

What was manifested in human beings? Was it manifested in Satan and his angels?

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Are human beings without excuse, or is it Satan and his angels who are without excuse? Scripture says that mankind does not know God. Christ said to forgive humans because they know not what they do. Satan and his devils know God's power and Godhead.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Again, humans do not know God unless God reveals some of Himself via the power of His Spirit. How would humans glorify something they do not know? Satan and his angels became vain in their imaginations; their heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Doesn't God someplace say we should not be calling each other fools? Satan and his devils are fools, but they are being used to fulfill God's Plan of Salvation.

For Bob Thiel/Rod Meredith, here's Romans 1:26

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:"

Who is "their?" Satan and his devils, who exert control at their own will:

"And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."

And sin, such as homosexuality?

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning..." I John 3:8

But Romans 1 refers to "man!" What about that?

Sometimes "man" actually means a spirit being:

FWIIW: Is it man or is it angel?

"And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel." Revelation 21:17

"The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name." Exodus 15:3

Is the LORD a man or a spirit being?

" Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation." Daniel 9:21

Is Gabriel a man or an angel: spirit being?

If Bob Thiel/Rod Meredith want to blame, judge...condemn...someone, then why not do that to Satan and his evil angels, who were made to later be taken and destroyed........instead of their brothers and sisters?

I wonder if in his practice as a caregiver, "Dr." Thiel refuses service to people whom he suspects might be munching out on people of their same gender. If so, I wonder if he remembers that Jesus said He came to save the world, not to judge it.

In many cases, God seems to give people room for repentence. Not Thiel!

"If it is one Bible tale that most misuse to attack what has come be called sodomites, which I suppose today means gay, (It was too long and hard to call people gomorrahites evidently) it is the story of Sodom in Genesis."

When I was growing up, not that the topic was ever discussed with anything even approaching the shocking regularity it gets broached by the splinter groups these days, the cited passages were most often of the priest and his concubine from Judges.

Unfortunately, it seems some in Church ministry no longer believe in free will, and instead subscribe to the delusion that people are compelled by some uncontrollable human nature that they are led around by the nose by, to stick their private parts into whatever presents itself appealing to said uncontrollable drive, regardless of anything else.

Yeah, so, I have a difficult time believing that "sexuality" is this completely uncontrollable "drive" that makes you do things on some mere biological or physiological whim, by turning off your ability to choose your actions at random points in time, leading you into situations whereby you inexplicably have zero control over your own actions.

That kind of thinking doesn't even make sense for normal people! (Though it probably provides self-justification for a lot of rapists, I'm sure, the laws of the land quite disagree.) I mean, seriously now, come on! Is this some kind of rhetoric they've picked up from the Puritans or something??

It's all about choice. Reasonable, thinking individuals, CHOOSE what to do with their own bodies. Sometimes they make the wrong choice. But as Jesus says (I am paraphrasing here), "it shall be worse in those days than it was for Sodom and Gomorrah......"

"So aren't we supposed to be following and reflecting Christ's attitude and example?"

Yes.

"Aren't we supposed to be judging ourselves rather than pointing the finger of blame at our brothers and sisters in Christ (Lk 6:37; 1 Cor 11:31)?"

Yep.

"Didn't our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ say, "He who is without sin cast the first stone" (Jn 8:7)?"

Correct. He also ate with sinners, was physician to the spiritually sick, etc.

"Didn't He tell a politician, "My kingdom is not of this world" (Jn 18:36)?"

Hm, well, my understanding of that scripture is, He was telling Pilate that He wasn't the next Jewish Zealot, nor was He planning to overthrow the physical Roman empire (yet, anyway), nor to sit on the physical throne of Jerusalem at that date. He had a little errand, which would involve His crucifixion for the sins of everyone who has ever lived or died, and thereafter He would be resurrected and seated at the right hand of God, so still ... not able, nor even willing, or even needing, to take over Pilate's job.

"I'm sure if your transgressions (or the consequences of such transgressions) were public knowledge would you be so quick to condemn yourself worthy of the same Mosaic penalty (as you so readily mete out on others) (Jam 2:13; 4:11-12)?"

Thieological Bob isn't even ordained; not that that gives anyone the right to judge anyone else. Matthew 7 is quite prescriptive on that point.

Though the Evangelicals in the Church these days unfortunately disagree....Seriously, the most judgemental people I've encountered, since being called back to the Church, have either been shrill, bible-thumping (who are paradoxically simultaneously biblically illiterate) Evangelicals, or those who have been misled by same. (Though these formerly faith don't know that they've been misled by Satan's ministers, who have disguised themselves as angels of light...as prophesied....)

" I know this was the case in Worldwide days, but I'm not sure if the others are as conservative as the old WCG [under HWA]..."

Your mileage may vary. I find the splinter groups to be way further off the mark from what the Church taught, when I was growing up. It seems to me the Church was far more conservative in the generation prior to mine -- yet my era was known for "Getting the Church BACK ON TRACK!" etc. etc.

Or maybe the Church in Canada really was as different from the Church in the US and the UK, as I've been told it was. Mind, the Church in Canada was also autonomous from Headquarters (for the most part) up until 2008, so.....

Velvet said...

"I submit that Romans 1 is speaking about Satan and his angels, who control and use human beings to do their will"

That's a bit of a stretch, isn't it? Isn't the focus of the letter to the Romans about humans having free will, and choosing to do what they (Including choosing, however consciously or barely-consciously, to let the powers and principalities of the air, influence them -- I can't cast any stones at anyone for that though!)

" 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Again, humans do not know God unless God reveals some of Himself via the power of His Spirit. How would humans glorify something they do not know? Satan and his angels became vain in their imaginations; their heart was darkened."

This passage always strikes me as applying much more strongly to the Evangelicals who took the Church into captivity, than anything else. Again, your mileage may vary. But I do think, in the context of the actual congregation Paul was writing the letter to, he was definitely referring to specific, fully human, members of the Church.

"22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Doesn't God someplace say we should not be calling each other fools? Satan and his devils are fools, but they are being used to fulfill God's Plan of Salvation."

Jesus said "Call no man Raca, Raca ["Fool, fool"]," is that the verse you're thinking of? Pardon me for saying so, but you seem to be stretching that particular verse awfully thin, in my opinion.

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:"

Who is "their?" Satan and his devils, who exert control at their own will:"

Again, you seem to be arguing from the theory that human beings have no free will (see my comment above); this is the diametric opposite of what the Church used to teach (though today the "denominational leadership" is fond of featuring speakers on their vile videos, who believe that no one has any free will, and that you are either damned or saved at God's whim and/or convenience).

"And sin, such as homosexuality?

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning..." I John 3:8"

Now you're really playing tic-tac-toe with scriptures! Lucifer's "sin from the beginning" was to consider himself higher than God! Which, ultimately, anyone who willfully (kindly note that word, willfully) transgresses the law, believes.

"If Bob Thiel/Rod Meredith want to blame, judge...condemn...someone, then why not do that to Satan and his evil angels, who were made to later be taken and destroyed........instead of their brothers and sisters?"

I agree that the ministers in the Church (the actual ministers, not the disfellowshipped or self-ordained ones, like Spanky and Thielogical Bob) should judge Satan and his demons, and not their brethren; after all, doesn't Revelation say that's what those who come up in the First Resurrection will be doing? (Not me, by the way, I'm not baptized.)

However, I highly doubt that there are brethren in the LCG who would willfully pursue such choices in their lives, what with all the highly-charged rhetoric Spanky likes to throw around against it.

Additionally, neither Spanky nor Thiel regard their followers as brethren (or "brothers and sisters" as you put it) in the first place; they see them only as underlings.

Which really is the gravest sin that ministers both in and out of the Church have committed, and it seems, will continue to commit, until the uncut stone destroys it all. Come quickly, Lord, Amen!
