David C. Pack: When the COG Members Join Us In The Great Reunification They Are REQUIRED to Bring ALL of Their Assets and Give Them to ME!!!!!!

As usual with Dave, it is all about money. Gold and silver and all the money of the COG members who join up with him have all belong to Dave.

Related to this, a final passage explains what the ancient Israelites did after they had been delivered from Egypt: “They came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the Lord’s offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all His service…And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the Lord” (Exod. 35:21-22). Exodus 36:7 states, “For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.”

What a tragic waste that would be! Fortunately, since there was no punishment for ignoring Dave on August 31, people will continue to turn a deaf ear towards him. No validation from God means Dave already flunked the test. Even the dimmest lightbulbs in the ACOGs now realize that he's just playing mudpies.

I am actually starting to feel sorry for Dave Pack. While not a psychologist, psychiatrist or MD, the man seems to be slipping into more and more of a dilusional state. He is wandering all over the Bible desperately seeking confirmation in any way of his failed views of himself and his church. Tying things together that really aren't to be connected, he seems desperate.

Last week he declared, ala I Corinthians 13, that we see "darkly" and prophecies fail. This week, "God's word is crystal clear." again. He then goes on and on this week, paragraph after paragraph, analogy after analogy, unrelated scripture after unrelated scripture to separate the mude from the crystal clear nature of all this.

Dave needs a good read of Julian Jaynes' "The Origin of Consciousness and the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind." to explain his Bronze age need to hear the voice of God literally in his head as he predicts evidently will come for "God's people."

Bicameralism may explain the origins of idols and sin, sacrifice and the throwing of bones to discern the fading voice of God in the Bronze age when writing came to the fore. It can explain why the Psalms are full of "why art thou so far from me," and "return unto us oh Lord." The voices in the bicameral mind of Bronze age folk were fading while human consciousness was awakening along with individuality and the "I" instead of just "us". It explains why there is little emotion in many OT characters as they just do as the voices in their heads tell them to do and say.

Bicameralism explains why Samuel heard "Samuel, Samuel" while Eli did not. It explains why we can better identify with the practical behaviors and puzzlements of Saul than Samuel the bicameral voice hearing prophet. I often wondered what it was that Saul did that was so wrong most of the time. It takes a bicameral mind to accuse him and a conscious one to defend his actions.

From Wikipedia,

This article is about the human brain. For other uses, see Bicameralism (disambiguation).

Bicameralism (the philosophy of "two-chamberedness") is a hypothesis in psychology that argues that the human mind once assumed a state in which cognitive functions were divided between one part of the brain which appears to be "speaking", and a second part which listens and obeys—a bicameral mind. The term was coined by psychologist Julian Jaynes, who presented the idea in his 1976 book The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind, wherein he made the case that a bicameral mentality was the normal and ubiquitous state of the human mind only as recently as 3000 years ago."

3000 Years ago fits perfectly with the mindset of the characters Dave Pack sees himself as a type of or pointing actually to him.

Dave Pack may hear the Bronze Age voice of God in his head and think you need to as well.

At any rate, he concludes with ,

"Do not miss what I now anticipate will be my final announcement! It explains four final elements of the prophecy that have become more clear, including hints that God left about why His plan to fulfill it was not connected to the fall Feast season."

Of course it won't be but he needs to get you to forget he said it was originally all this Autum and this feast to which it all was connected.

Crystal clear....

PS I meant, "Crystal clear with hints of mud."

Dave mistakenly thinks:

"Accept it or not...In the end, there is only God’s Church and the world, also variously described as Babylon, Egypt and the place of dragons. Christians are in one or the other. They cannot be in both and this includes you. THE SPLINTERS ARE EGYPT. PERIOD. God plans to bring His people out of Egypt, reinstate them into His Church, and work with them as He did ancient Israel when they came out of Egypt during the Exodus."

The mythic account of the Exodus has zero to do with Dave Pack. It is not any type of anything today. One can make analogies until they pass out, but it is still just an analogy. They don't call it an anal-ogy for nothing. While an anal-ogy may appear to come out of the mouth in great predictions and types, we know ultimately where it ends up.

sorry, get thinking about this stuff. I am wondering if Dave won't try to cut himself loose from his dilemma by moving the splinter awakening in Dave's place of safety in "the wilderness" like the Exodus etc. Of course this won't happen, but it puts it off into the "soon" and gets him out of trouble with his past views. He then can returrn to just being Dave and over RCG being awesome.

Dave writes: "...Related to this, a final passage explains what the ancient Israelites did after they had been delivered from Egypt: “They came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing..."

Well, Dave hasn't proved where those individuals are that have their hearts stirred up and where their spirit is MADE willing. God hasn't MADE that happen for Dave.

God also knows Dave must follow God or mammon, and Dave has MADE it very clear that he has a huge interest in MAMMON.

More important is the fact that those who surround his throne aren't telling the insane prince he's crazy because they are making too good a living off of him... for now. They support his world of delusion.

None of us should feel sorry for Davey, since he got this way through his own lusts: He might have a mental disorder or even disease now, but he's been rotten to people for decades and is now reaping what he has sown -- sow abuse and you reap insanity.

No it's the ones who are living off of him as parasites who should have our attention.

And it would be surprising how fast the rats can abandon ship when their meal ticket has been cancelled.

Then Davey will be alone... very alone.

A Parallel Story of the present of Simon Magus (Acts8:9-23)
(Capital Emphasis Mine)

9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. HE BOASTED THAT HE WAS SOMEONE GREAT

10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”

11 They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery. ...

18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

20 Peter answered: MAY YOUR MONEY PERISH WITH YOU, BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD BUY THE GIFT OF GOD WITH MONEY

21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because YOUR HEART IS NOT RIGHT before God.

22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

23 FOR I SEE THAT YOU ARE FULL OF BITTERNESS AND CAPTIVE TO SIN.

AB Comment:
One question I have deals with a social issue. It is difficult to believe that people would be naïve enough to view what Dave is supposedly teaching if there were not some other factors involved.

I am aware of historical similarities where people have been drawn together by distorted views of biblical teachings and unreal expectations, but the way Dave appears to be presenting things is so unrealistic that even a simple human intelligence and understanding of the biblical teachings would recognize its contradiction with the present reality.

The only people who would experience a social benefit would be those in a local community. I believe this mentality is what created problems in the Ambassador College Group. They thought that all of those in the congregations shared a social contact. It may just be my opinion, but I believe that it was the major cause for the fracturing that we see today. I do not believe that God has any plans for putting Humpty Dumpty back together again.

I was shocked back in the 1980s to learn of the plight of Jim Gordon, a brilliant drummer in the classic rock era who provided the beat for many of the greats, such as Eric Clapton. Gordon had evidently heard voices from a very young age. He masked these successfully through self-medication, using drugs and alcohol. But, like many from that era, he eventually realized that he needed to clean up his life, and to get clean and sober. When he did, the voices spoke louder to him, telling him to kill his mother. He obeyed the voices, and has been in a facility for the criminally insane for decades now.

Who knows what thought processes others go through? I'm sure Jim Gordon seemed to his peers to be not unlike any other multi-talented, partying, hippie musician of that era. He composed and played the piano solo in "Layla"! Most of us have only our own personal baseline to use as criteria. We would tend to think that the basic blueprint of human thought is not unlike our own. Obviously, there can be exceptions. Could there be people walking around today enduring bicameralism, and assuming that that is the normal state of mind? If the theory raised by Dennis is true, the people from the past who lived in that specific state of human development were totally functional, and seen as rational and normal by their fellow humans in various degrees of the same state.

It is only when one witnesses a melt-down that one begins to do a post mortem examination, looking for causative factors. We know from the sciences which study and treat the human mind that there are such events as psychotic and schizophrenic breaks. There are other factors which cause aberrations to one's thinking processes, such as parasites, tertiary syphilis, and "Mad Cow" disease. In some cases, an extreme event or extreme belief system can act as a stressor, to create inner pressures which would exacerbate mental degeneration.

What we are currently witnessing is not normal, it is not desirable in any way. There is not going to be a happy ending to such pathological behavior. It appears to be spinning out of control, and will continue to worsen, until there is some sort of correction. My advice to the people closest to the process would be to begin to work some sort of personal damage control plan, and/or exit strategy, because this thing has already passed beyond credibility or reality. Try to detach yourself and to view it from a position of non-involvement. See if that doesn't provide a different perspective. Test the spirit of the thing. It's for your own safety, and that of your family!

A note to RCG members: Bicameralism does not mean that you get so blessed for sending your tithes and generous offerings to Dave that you can suddenly afford to buy two brand new Camaros!

Anonymous said...

And just to remind everyone, it is against God's Law to tithe today -- it is a sin.

My heart has been stirred up to withhold mammon of this world from narcissistic selfish cult leaders to prevent rewarding incompetence and mediocrity.

I noticed an interesting paragraph in HWA's autobiography. Speaking about a member who was going to sacrifice his sheep for Mr. Armstrong:

"Still, Mr. Preston loved that helpless little sheep, now about to give its life for food for us. He led it to a spot in his backyard. He lovingly caressed it first. Then he hit it a hard, stunning blow on top of the head with the sharp edge of a small sledge hammer, and quickly slit its throat to drain out the blood. The sheep suffered no pain. The sharp, quick blow rendered it instantly unconscious."

Gives you a pretty clear understanding about how the ministers feel about the role of their sheep, er, members.

the sin of tithing?...as usual, its the parts left out that sink their argument....DCP is not the only one that picks and chooses....lol

if there was no Melchizedek, the article would be correct...but as it is written, it is a partial truth presented as the whole truth, which makes it an untruth.

Byker Bob said...

Anonymous, Melchizedek may not totally resolve the issue of tithing. Historically, it was the custom in that region to pay tribute to the ruler or overlord of the area in which one took spoils or plunder. The tribute was 1/10 of the spoils.

My own beliefs are that New Covenant Christians give free will offerings, from the heart. But, it would appear from Biblical examples that God's general principle of giving starts at 10%. Actually, since returning to belief, I have actually enjoyed this. But, there is a difference this time around. For one thing, I don't believe my tithes or offerings are commanded go to some self-proclaimed Hitlerian gatekeeper who gets to use them frivolously, unaccountably, and wastefully. I study and carefully choose ministries amongst whom to distribute God's money. There must be accountability in several key categories. There have been blessings way ahead of expectation and the probability curve for doing it in this way.

This sort of stuff only counts when one does it willingly, from the heart, and not as a result of coercion.
