"Gerald Flurry, Fred Dattolo, Tim Oostendarp, Cal Culpepper, Eric Anderson, Jim Cocomise and John Chandler. I hold you responsible for the death of my daughter Janet De Gennaro."

Exit and Support has a gut wrenching letter from the father of Janet De Gennaro: An Open Letter to Gerald Flurry and the PCG Ministers.

Gerald Flurry, Fred Dattolo, Tim Oostendarp, Cal Culpepper, Eric Anderson, Jim Cocomise and John Chandler.

I hold you responsible for the death of my daughter Janet De Gennaro.

Not one of you took on the responsibility to care and guide my daughter's spiritual, emotional and mental stability. Instead, you forced her to have No-Contact with her family. She was full of life and joy during the many years she lived with us until she was ordered to "get out of that house" by Fred Dattolo.

What was the quality of the counseling my daughter and David Privratsky received from Cal Culpepper and other ministers? Were these men qualified to give spiritual and physical marriage counseling? Have any of them received the necessary training?

My daughter and David Privratsky were counseling for two whole years before their marriage was approved. With seven ministers counseling them, we can only imagine the unbearable stress that was placed upon them. Did any of these ministers consider the emotional stress Janet would experience living in a new country, in a small, secluded town, where she knew no one? This stress was compounded by Gerald Flurry's No-Contact policy, which meant she could not talk to her parents or brother.

Did the ministers encourage David Privratsky to be aware of Janet's mental and emotional state as a result of moving to a completely different environment, while at the same time being cut off from her family?

Cal Culpepper was the main marriage counselor. We now know he made threats to call off the marriage if she had any contact with her family. He made her life miserable with no regard for the mental stress he was putting her under. He, and Eric Anderson, even questioned her obedience to "That Prophet" with more threats of calling off the marriage if she did not comply with the harsh, PCG-enforced No-Contact policy

My wife and I became very concerned for Janet when we saw her wedding pictures and realized how much weight she had lost. Her face was thin and her smile was only partial. Only a close family member would know that. We tried to communicate with her many times, but as she was under strict instructions, we received no response.

It wasn't until after Janet's death that, for the first time, we were finally able to meet David Privratsky and his mother. We learned that he forbade Janet from speaking to us due to Gerald Flurry's No-Contact policy. He also admitted that he didn't know how to handle Janet's anxiety. He handed us some notes that she had written to explain what was going on in her mind and how you, collectively, twisted her perspective:
"I need to do that which is right in God's sight and put God first. And that means No-Contact with my family, which is fine. They have to know that I've put God first in my life and that they need to do the same. I love my family and I don't talk to them out of love as God commands."
It breaks my heart to realize my daughter was deceived by you into believing she was obeying God. She was led by ministers who are blind. You departed from the Word of God, which instructs children to honor their parents and relied on Gerald Flurry's evil edict to strike fear into the trusting people of God.

What is the fruit of the PCG? We attended this organization for about fourteen years. You are a false prophet, Gerald Flurry, preaching constantly about outsiders plotting to "attack us." The real truth that our family experienced was that the attack came from within by none other than Gerald Flurry and his terrorist ministers.

God is against you! God requires His ministers to serve His people with love and mercy. Jeremiah 23 and Ezekiel 34 make it plain that God is against false prophets and ministers. You should read these chapters and apply the verses to yourselves.
Woe be to the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture, saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; You have scattered my flock, and driven them away and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of our doing, said the LORD. -Jeremiah 23:1,2
The diseased have you not strengthened, neither have you healed that which was sick, neither have you bound up that which was broken, neither have you brought again that which was driven away, neither have you sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have you ruled them. -Ezekiel 34:4

Did Christ apply the PCG No-Contact Policy?

The scriptures are clear that Christ's brothers did not believe He was the Son of God. Did Christ cut off His physical family? The answer is absolutely not! Why? Two of His brothers, James and Jude became Apostles of Christ. Christ must have had close family relations for them to come to the understanding that Jesus was, in fact, the Son of God.

A Warning for PCG!

There is a just, living, Almighty God who knows every thought of man. God who fights for us will take righteous judgment against the PCG, Gerald Flurry and the rest of you!
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. -Exodus 34:7
God promises He will take vengeance for Janet against Gerald Flurry, his children and his children's children, unto the third and fourth generation (including the ministers mentioned at the beginning of this letter: Fred Dattolo, Tim Oostendarp, Cal Culpepper, Eric Anderson, Jim Cocomise and John Chandler.

You all caused so much pain and terror that Janet was stripped of her moral compass and dignity. You pushed her to the point that she saw no other way out but to take her own life.

Janet was crying for help. She needed us. Only her family could have given her the love, support and encouragement she sought so much, but it was denied because of your evil policy. You have robbed us of so much joy and happiness. We will never see our daughter flourishing as a young wife. We will never see her as a young mother. We will never see her children.

You have robbed us; nevertheless, as the scriptures exhort us, we leave you in God's hands.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. -Romans 12:19

I just cannot understand why people sit in that cult and in the rest of the COG's and allow perverts in he ministry tell them what to do, especially when lives are at stake. I hope her father takes the PCG to court and exposes their lies to the world.

Those "leave it in God's hands " scriptures were written by men who hoped you would not take then to court or drive them out for their stupidity and failed prophecy

May God grant peace to the DeGennaro family. There aren't a heck of a lot of worse things that an ACOG could do to people than this. This was a Kool Aid type thing, no doubt, even though PCG only made one person drink it in this particular incident. Sadly, there will be more, due to the coldness and hardness of Flurry's heart!

Sue the bastards. Faith without works is dead. Would they let these clowns off if they were molesting their children?

"I love my family and I don't talk to them out of love as God commands."

Another biblically illiterate nut case suffers the very real and serious consequences of disobeying God's clear fifth command in the Ten Commandments that says, “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12, NIV).

Rejecting the commandment of God in order to obey the commandment of a demoniac like Gerald Flurry to cut off all contact with your own parents for no good reason is a sure road to total disaster.

Gerald R. Flurry always tried to pass himself off as Herbert W. Armstrong's true successor, and his Philadelphia Church of Fraud off as the true successor to the Worldwide Church of God. Nothing could be further from the truth! The PCG was always such a cruel, satanic hoax. While always claiming to be faithfully holding fast to everything that was taught by HWA in the WCG, Gerald Flurry has somehow always actually managed to misunderstand, misapply, change, twist, warp, mangle and pervert virtually everything in his PCG cult far beyond what a normal mind would ever expect.

For example, another one of the Ten Commandments, the seventh one, says, “You shall not commit adultery” (Exodus 20:14, NIV). In Gerald Flurry's PCG cult, it seems like nobody has ever heard of this, and virtually everything is done wrong and backwards. Old sex maniacs, sex perverts and predators run wild and out of control in the PCG. It seems like many people are just there to fornicate, commit adultery, divorce and remarry, prey on other people's children, etc. Incredibly, these frustrated old sex perverts can actually complain to the PCG leaders and get younger, single members a fraction of their own age kicked out of the PCG for politely declining to go along with their selfish and immoral agendas. The local godless bum and tyrant that GRF set up as a PCG minister when no WCG ministers went with his PCG cult will snarl indignantly with raised voice at the victim over the phone about how they have done so much for them and tried so hard to help them, but will now have to make an example out of them and kick them out. The pure evil in Gerald Flurry's PCG cult is one of those things that you have to see and experience for yourself in order to believe that people could really be so utterly wicked and depraved—and that they would do it all under the guise of obeying God!

If depraved indifference works the way it's supposed to, PCG leaders would have a lot of spare time in prison to contemplate their crimes.

PCG leaders, which would you prefer:

1) A prison sentence followed by repentance?
2) To die in the lake of fire and be obliterated forever?

I thought so.

All the COG's are cults. The PCG is one of the more extreme groups. They will become even more extreme as they loose more of their members.

I think that the psychological abuse of Armstrongism is comparable to the horrible actions of extreme Islamists.

What a terrible thing PCG's no contact policy has done. PCG's leadership think that something like this was pretty much bound to occur tearing up families and friendships in such a harrowing and vicious manner.

What depths of depravity PCG appears to have fallen into. In my opinion, at present, there is no hope that anything will improve within PCG.

If any PCG member who yearns to see things like this stop within PCG it needs to be stated there seems to be no hope that things will improve within PCG.

It is well known by ex-PCG members how these pervert ministers counsel people asking the most intimate sexual questioning. One can only imagine the type of marriage counselling this young people had to endure by these perverts.

That's a pretty disturbing final paragraph you have there. If you are privy to more info, please share.

Yes.

Yes I am.

But beware of Gerald Flurry, who has been turning his followers into biblically illiterate nut cases who harm themselves while trying to harm others.

Speaking of Oostendarp here are some words he wrote in the May 30, 2014 issue of The Trumpet Weekly.

"Prince Charles: Putin Behaving Like Hitler" by Timothy Oostendarp. Here Oostendarp insinuates that Putin will soon destroy a third of all humanity.

Here follows Oostendarp's words:

"The law of history and Bible prophecy explain the type of thinking the Commentator is advancing trivializes Putin’s potential for further evil! It is the kind of thinking that leads to major tragedies. ...

"A Russian leader is prophesied to come on the scene to lead a group of Asian powers with an army of 200 million men in war against Europe. This “prince of Rosh” is going to cause the death of one third of all mankind— hundreds of millions, possibly even a few billion.

"Prophecy shows Prince Charles is right."

End of quote.

Gerald Flurry had earlier declared that Putin is the Prince of Rosh.

Here is another article Oostendarp wrote in that same issue.

"Russia and China: The Chaos Strategy" by Timothy Oostendarp. Here Oostendarp indulges in paranoid rhetoric saying that increasing militancy by Russia and China are part of a plot to take over the world.

Here follows Oostendarp's words:

"Is there a connection between Russia’s aggressive behavior and the aggressive posturing of China? The timing is more than coincidence. Russia and China are purposely trying to create chaos, and it is a fairly recent and noticeable trend! ...

"Line up Russia and China’s chaos sowing behavior with America’s flaccid response and it looks like America is stuck in childish decision paralysis. The paralysis telegraphs WEAKNESS. And weakness attracts attack.

"Many analysts speak of China’s desire for a multipolar world, or Russia’s desire for the same. This is a mistake. Russia and China are not the least bit interested in a multipolar world. They wish to DOMINATE the WORLD."

End of quote.

This sounds like something from a kids' TV show.

So that is what Timothy Oostendarp has said in the service of Gerald Flurry's PCG.

I admire Dan De Gennaro's courage through this published letter in exposing how dangerous this Philadelphia Church of God, led by Gerald Flurry, could be to kind, loving people like Janet.

In our world of relationships, we would easily classify a husband who tells his wife not to associate with her family, as an abusive husband. It's similar with a church.

Dear Mr. De Gennaro, Please consider a civil law suit. Most of the time, you don't have to pay legal fees unless you win. Shop around for an attorney who is knowledgeable and sympathetic to your cause. You cannot put a price on your precious daughter's life, but you can get your ounce of flesh if you hit the right person. Turn your anguish outward and do something proactive. It will help you go on.

Linda Lee said...

Dan De Gennaro, my heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. I want to urge you to file a civil lawsuit for wrongful death, etc. I guess great minds work alike because as I just noticed that the post prior to mine is suggesting you do the thing. Get them where it will hurt the most, their bank account. An attorney will bring them into court and I don't believe any judge or jury would possibly be sympathetic to their policies and preachments. Cult religions in our day and age are not looked upon favorably. You have a compelling case. And I'm sure you will win. I won't bring back your daughter, but it may halp you and your family to stand up and fight for what is right.

I have heard the Fred Dattolos Son Michael Dattolos has recently left the church and his wife and son. I guess his own advice now is a witness against him....laodiceans policy msg given a few months ago. I guess what goes around comes around.

My condolences to you Dan and Maria degenarro. When I knew Janet.. She was full of life, and love. Your family was the first I met when I moved Toronto. My heart truly good out to you. The world needs to know what the PCG did so that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I have had the privilege of knowing Janet in grade school and high school. She was a beautiful, kind and humble young girl. A sweet soul. She had a contagious and unique laugh. She would make us laugh with her Yoda voice impression. She was shy but at the same time outgoing. A great student. Her family was wonderful. I stumbled upon this letter because I would search from time to time thinking I would find a reason why such a thing happened to her. I can not believe this happened to such a wonderful person. I don't know much about the PCG or cults in general. But I hope this letter helps expose the abuse they put poor honest people through. I hope the DeGennaro family finds peace in their heart and I pray Janet can rest in peace.
