Church of God Thieves Still Living Well On Tithe Money

Herbert Armstrong's Pasadena Mansion

When I saw how the ministry of the church of God lived I was flabbergasted. Their homes were mini mansions really.

I was asked to help move our minister, free slave labor. His home had 6 bedrooms one of which he dedicated to his hobby.

I could barely buy groceries and had no car. I felt slapped in the face that my money went to buy all that.

I felt kicked in the face that Herbert Armstrong bought gold and silver and outrageous art on our backs.

It was awful that while we were encouraged to home school our kids no curriculum was provided even though the church had its own school for the elite's children. So my kids went to public school (got a good education anyway.)

I was told to be a stay at home mother and now have a 150 a month social security check to try to make do on.

And they are thieves stil today living very well on tithes meant only for the Levitical system that Jesus destroyed.

Every holy day is filled with begging for money for the 'work' which is pathetic at best.

No surprise at this guy at all. We have lived with these hirelings for years.
Paul, who worked for a living, would be aghast.

They get no more money from me. They cleaned me out years ago and now there is nothing more to give.

They should all be audited.

When I had dinner at HWA's home along with a few other seniors, he bragged about the cost of all of the tableware in front of us. He then opened up a drawer and showed us some dishes that he bought in Europe, once owned by some royalty and gold plated. He must have been a very insecure person to need this "junk" to make himself feel as if he was a big shot. On top of this, his 1981 income tax return showed that he earned an adjusted gross income of $421,052. His contributions were only $46,589. In today's dollars, his salary would be $1.1 million. In 1980 his gross income was $387,755 with contributions of only $37,427. That's less than 10%. What does an 89 year old man with an expense account need this kind of income for?

Which church is she speaking of?
Unforunately, it could be many, including the PCG and UCG, among others.

To pay for his $5 million divorce.

Speaking of his divorce, whatever became of Ramona Martin?

One of the big things we students were taught to deal with was the situation where someone would walk up to you and ask, "Where does Mr. Armstrong live?"

The best response I ever heard was, "Sorry, I couldn't tell you."

whether we acknowledge it or not, the Church was punished by God for bad behavior, as evidenced by its collapse;

the bible is full of examples of His Ordained suffering the consequences of disobedience, whether it was the sword never departing from king David's family, or the sudden death of ananias in Acts 5...

i know there are some who cannot imagine that God has reason today to punish His Church, and that is part of the problem; the leadership today has failed to consider that insensitivity and self-righteousness are also sins...

Whether he realizes it or not, Anon @ August 26, 2015 at 7:14 AM is brainwashed with ignorance.

one thing is an absolute constant: the person who has the wrong pov always engages in personal insults, and never offers any opinion to support their point of view;

in their minds attempting to belittle a person they disagree with is a legitimate form of discourse, when frankly such behavior is merely a relic from their elementary school days...

Revelation 2 & 3 shows God's Wrath in light of the disobedience of the various Church eras, yet i am ignorant?
