Why is Philadelphia Church of God Plagued by Lice and Parasites?

For some reason the Church of God has always had an issue with lice, scabies and other infections spreading through its ranks.  Lice, scabies and other infections would spread rapidly though the Ambassador campuses almost every single year.

It seems that phenomenon is carried over into the cult compound in Edmond, Oklahoma where the elite of the Philadelphia Church of God dwell in isolation.

Imagine building a multimillion dollar concert hall using the finest velvets seat coverings, courting the public for subscribers who pay big bucks for sitting in those luxurious seats, all without telling them that earlier in the day at Sabbath services lice infected students and members knowingly were sitting there.

PCG knew about it and even laughed about in on stage.

From a reader:

If only they'd clean Gods House and the John Amos Field house as well physically as they want us to clean. Seems every Fall just before the Feast there's a Lice outbreak! It was so bad one year that the whole orchestra section was infected, but Turgeon assured us that Lice won't get us in the balcony.
There's also the problem of the students having parasites. Most church volunteers won't eat their lunch at the FH because too many of us have gotten so violently sick. Cleanliness is not a concern to the Kruegers though. It's common knowledge that the church makes the students do parasite cleanses because it's such a problem. One young man wouldn't shake our hands one Sabbath because he had ringworm.

Heck, after Ralph suggested we google "birthdays and the occult witchcraft" to learn why celebrating birthdays is satanic, and then checking out Ralph's suggestion to read Isaiah 8:19 to see why celebrating birthdays is evil, the only conclusion is that Rslph seems to have been indoctrinated by the "lice and parasites" of the Herbert W Armstrong cult!

My prayer is that one day Ralph will smile and offer good wishes while basking in the glow of a birthday cake's candles.

Yuck! We get a Lice announcement every Fall it seems! Before I moved to HQs I had no idea of all the weird and aweful things that happen there. So many cover ups! Never expected anything like it!
A few years ago there was a whooping cough out break just before the FOT. They had to close Imperial and AC. We were told not to take our children to the doctors because of the ramifications to the church! No children or teens were allowed to services as a precaution, oh, except the ministers kids were still allowed to attend! It was so annoying to see the smug Heermas, Turgeons and Davis families sitting there so proud while our kids stayed home!

Sometimes the great and almighty Deity provides the answer right under our noses. How ironic that this Armstrong Church of God franchise is plagued by parasites. The entire Armstrong religion is controlled by a bunch of parasites sucking the financial life out of its tithe slave dumb sheep members. And they're are too stupid to see the irony!

A lot of this problem comes from ignoring medicine and depending on prayer. When my children were small, we fought pinworms there in Pasadena. Never had a louse problem or scabies, I'm happy to say. These kinds of things tend to spread very rapidly in closed groups that depend on prayer for protection. As far as ringworm and athletes foot is concerned, I depend on rubbing alcohol to quickly squelch any hint of them coming along. It's far cheaper and faster than anything else I know of. Allen C. That's gross.

On another topic: Ever wanted to know what PCG's leaders think about media outlets?

The Late Minister Wayne Fielder of Arkansas in the PCG wouldn't anoint me for a burn I had because I had applied Neosporin to it. That was a lack of faith on my part! Go figure!

Parasites? I thought if you didn't eat unclean meats you wouldn't get parasites.

I wonder how many STDs are running around in the cult compound at Edmond Oklahoma

Lice, etc is just one of the diseases of Egypt that God tells Israel they will get if they are bad!

Uh Oh Gerald. You been very very bad!

I remember many years ago someone in WCG saying that a particular insect problem (I forget the details) was not just a physical issue bue really a spiritual problem, the idea being, I suppose, that God would send such plagues upon those who were not spiritually pure. I thought it was an odd comment at the time, and later I decided it was nonsense. I wonder if anyone in the offshoots believe that. Surely there could not be spiritual impurity in the Philadelphia Church of God.

Perhaps, during the current celebration of the Days of Unleavened Bread, the ACoGs might consider that it is an echo of the Plagues of Egypt. You know, LET MY PEOPLE GO!

Maybe God is trying to tell them something.

I never knew of this problem during my years at AC, or working in the HQ area. And, with the meticulous work that the custodial crew always did, it is difficult to imagine an outright infestation.

Usually, once a year, some food product would be kept too long in the student cafeteria, and there would be a sudden outbreak of Pharaoah's revenge. Oh, the tales of woe! Students on dates, suddenly needing to excuse themselves to run off and find restrooms in downtown Pasadena. Inability to find sufficient restrooms on campus because they were all occupied! People who thought the problem had skipped them suddenly discovering that it had not, even as they doubled over in uncontrollable laughter over some of the stories! I am sure that Mrs. Bailey in the campus laundry had a most terrible week following the outbreak.

There also seemed to be a constant problem with flatulence in the student dormitories. Obviously, the food served in the student center was not as healthful, or readily digestible as campus hype would have indicated. Both years of my attendance, the flatulence problem was a topic at numerous dorm meetings, and there never seemed to be a viable solution. Usually, the final word from the dorm monitor conducting the meeting was that students ought not to make "crass" remarks about it when it happened. GTA even stated in one student body forum that there had been complaints from the laundry about the condition of students' underwear. Obviously, the little old ladies in the field who were so conscientious about contributing their widows' mites to the work would have been shocked to learn that such conditions could exist at "God's College".

NEWS FLASH

Due to extensive infestation of lice and other parasites at PCG's HQ college, the student body there have had to resort to drastic measures to avoid contact with each other as can be seen in the following video:

We might smile at this, but after seeing how tithes and offerings are being spent in Edmond, I wonder how many PCG field members understand they are the ones being laughed at?

I heard on a TV Program that's very hard to remove lice. There are medications on the market, but non are completely effective.
STDs ??? Hmm, I prefer to give those young students the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise.

The bible does say not to add or take away from it. If God was against birthdays, it would be made plain. No Ralf voodoo reasoning would be required. Oh, and lets not forget the HWA celebrated his birthdays at restaurant get togethers. This was evidently acceptable since it didn't result in a hedonist sex orgy, as might happen with the unwashed, peasant members.

During my tenure at AC I was fortunate enough not to encounter any intense sickness there.

Diet, exercise and proper personal cleanliness is all it took.

That being said I think there is too much of a heavy dependence on campus food. Different people from different walks of life have different dietary needs and while I'm sure the Kruger's try their best to satisfy the students appetites I don't think that there is a sufficient amount of variety there to cover everyone's bases.

I constantly had to buy my own food to stay healthy and lucky for me I had a significant amount of money making going on the side while at college as well as a hefty savings account.

"God's college" was rampant with flatulence: Even unto the metaphorical type, too[t]!

Embarrassing College stunk to High Heaven, yet the splinter wannabees do their best to emulate the 'stench once given' by Herbert W. Armpit.

Well, if we still remember types and antitypes, and dual fulfillment from the HWA School of False Prophecy Fabrication, all of that gas in the dorms was probably an antitype of the gas used by the pseudo-Assyrians during the Holocaust.

“Why is Philadelphia Church of God Plagued by Lice and Parasites?”

Because that is the type of people that Gerald Flurry set up as PCG “ministers” when no WCG ministers went with the drunken runt.
