David C Pack Says "I have now done my part in warning you!"

I finally decided to sit down and torture myself and listen to Dave Pack's latest 30 minute video on the man of sin.

According to Dave, this man is already a member of the Church of God and will come forth from the the church.  Dave  said that he personally talked to Herbert Armstrong in late 1978 where they decided that the man of sin could NOT be the Pope or the Catholic church.

This man will be so powerful and full of mysteries that many will be deceived.  This man will be consumed by money and power.   Say what????????????

Any thinking person has to stop and realize that the ONLY COG leader that has recently claimed that ALL money of church members, regardless of the COG they are in, belongs to him and his group. That person was Dave Pack himself!  We recently heard that Dave is getting so confused that he cant keep his story straight anymore.  Is Dave actually talking about himself?

Dave says that desperately wicked men will arise out of the church, worse than anything we have ever seen who will do miracles and wonders and lead many brethren away from the truth.  They will levitate people, turn water into blood, sticks into snakes and other miracles.  He will have withered  right arm and will be blind in his right eye.

Dave says he has been warning about this for 3 years, now he is done. He could go longer if there were actually time left.

It looks like we had better get ready for the crap to hit the fan!   Will the man of sin be Rod Meredith, resurrected from the dead?  Gerald Flurry as he Irish Dances next to the Ark of the Convent after he digs it up in Tara Hill?  Is the man of sin Vic Kubik?

One thing is right though from Dave, the church has produced more devious and deceitful men than ever imaginable.  I think the man of sin is already here and its Dave.

You can listen to Dave talk about himself here.

Dave is a fabulist or a writer of fables. His fables just happen to be made up and cobbled together in ways that make him feel he is a chief player in scripture and spoken of in them. In the modern world we call this mental illness and religious fixation.

Four years ago it was the "Send it in, you won't need it" stage. Three years ago it was Haggai prophecies which could not fail but did followed by the sure to be so next year which also failed miserably. We had the ministerial litmus test that was going to bring in hundreds of new and true ministers to take care of the fabulous growth of the church. Didn't happen. The one man he attracted, he bounced like everyone on staff before him. Now he's all Dominioned up and driving everyone nuts with his compulsive new fables and ideas to be followed now by The Man of Sin Revealed at Last nonesense. The man is losing his mind.

Nothing he predicts to happen does happen because it's all in his mind and not grounded in reality.

Dave has alienated anyone who could take over and who'd want it anyhow? He trains no one for fear of them, or at least he promotes no one publically. His campus is doomed to be sold in time as the albatross it is and will increasingly more become.

This Emperor's constant new clothes merely will leave him and his members, poor and blind, miserable and naked in the end. IMHO.

I can't but wonder whether Daves followers are trying to buy eternal life by giving all of their money to his church. Desperate people doing desperate things.

I'm amazed at how a person can be so oblivious to their own irony! His followers must be zombies or worse.

Dennis, you can get your job back - maybe..

God's new improved HQ in the Rust Belt Heartland needs Ambassador-qualified manpower for the "great regathering of the scattered sheep".

First you will be escorted in the Herbie-quality gold & mahogany elevator to the key-assessed Executive Level where, after completing the probing questionnaire, you will be hauled on the [imported deep-pile] carpet to explain your deviations from The Way.

EXCLUSIVE TO "BANNED BY HWA"... MAN OF SIN REVEALED!

666 is an alphanumeric code that reveals the "man of sin". Through the use of modern anagram generators we too can have insight on just who might this man may be. Many have speculated about the Pope and the Vatican and its long standing relationship to Rome.

In similar fashion, we can see NEW TRUTH BRETHREN, in decoding the words "WADSWORTH OHIO" by using anagrams (rearranging all the letters in a new sequence) to discover the "man of sin" We find the following...

HOW?...ADIOS WORTH!

TORAH...OH WIDOWS!

HAD RIOTS...OH WOW!

WOW! ...TO HIS HOARD!

OW!... WOO!... HARD SHIT!

Dave's career could be described as one long self-invalidation process. The more you listen to him, the more you realize that you cannot take him seriously, and that following him will not improve your physical ot spiritual life. In fact, being a follower of Dave Pack falls into the same psychology as compulsive self-cutting.

Why can't Old Testament and New Testament God just be nice without all the drama , deception, coded and easily manipulated and misunderstood messages, crazy stupid middlemen and mystery?

It's just too hard keeping up with Dave's sure and soon to be stuff that is late and iffy.

Mr Pack moves and gestures in predictable patterns that put me in mind of a Disney Animatronic robot.

Animatronics refers to the use of robotic devices to emulate a human or an animal, or bring lifelike characteristics to an otherwise inanimate object.[1][2] Animatronic creations include animals (including dinosaurs), plants and even mythical creatures. A robot designed to be a convincing imitation of a human is more specifically labeled as an android.[3][4][5] Modern animatronics have found widespread applications in movie special effects and theme parks and have, since their inception, been primarily used as a spectacle of amusement.

Animatronics is a multi-disciplinary field which integrates anatomy, robots, mechatronics, and puppetry resulting in lifelike animation.[6][7] Animatronic figures are often powered by pneumatics, hydraulics, or by electrical means, and can be implemented using both computer control and human control, including teleoperation. Motion actuators are often used to imitate muscle movements and create realistic motions in limbs. Figures are covered with body shells and flexible skins made of hard and soft plastic materials, and finished with details like colors, hair and feathers and other components to make the figure more realistic.

The entire church of God is trying to buy salvation and eternal life by required rituals that make them okay in God's eyes.
It is a constant process of trying to be good enough to make it into the kingdom and to earn the favor of a harsh god who is always judging from a strict set of rules.
It is a superstitious religion based on the old pagan system of do or die.
Members think they will die if they don't observe yom kippur or the day of atonement. Yet they violate the rule of not tempting God by forcing the sick, pregnant and children to fast. They tell them God will protect them. That is tempting God.
Paul said all things are legal for me just not all are expedient . The church will never learn that and do not understand that the Holy Spirit leads into a good life without all the strictures and ritual.
They say they do not believe you can earn salvation and that you are saved by grace but they do not practice that in reality at all.
"We believe in grace but there are things you must do!" Well no there are not but you do good works because Christ dwells in you...if indeed he does at all.
The Church of God is judaizing and some groups are doing it more and more adding more Jewish restrictions each year to the ones already binding the church.
It is sad but it denies the grace of God.

Christianity does not have Hebrew "roots". It is entirely new and different and it's roots are in Christ Jesus.

Dave talks too much.
From another post I have this to say:
While I am no fan of the LCG or any other group like it, the Scarboroughs are just one more big time church fat cat family who lost their position and social network and now are hopping mad.
These are the church people who have tons of money for feasts and say to the little people left behind "We will send you a postcard".
What crap. Shove the post card where the sun don't shine and give all that excess money you use to pamper your butt at the feast to those families who can't afford to go!
The church was hardly generous with 2nd tithe assistance to the poor and widowed. They even told people not to help them! They were so afraid they might get some help.

If I were a minister not one person would transfer to an expensive site until every single other person in the church was able to also attend.
The policy of allowing the privileged in the church to splurge whilst others had to remain home and get a stupid postcard has to end.

Funny I was thinking exactly the same thing :)
Maybe he is one after all.

Gotta love the end of his rant:
"I have done my part, I would do it for 3 more years day&night... were that much time remaining"

There we have it folks, nary 3 more years left. He said it, no backsies.
Actually, I would guess RCG itself has less than 3 years left, the way Pack's senses continue to go AWOL.

Nonsense!
Midrash:
The gospel of Mark lifts the "Feeding of the 5000" story from 2 Kings 1

This is why it's so important not to just flip the coin, search for a similar coin, or head to the polar opposite as your recovery. Look for a whole new pocketful of coins. The flipside of a Dave Pack coin, or his polar opposite, is going to be equally weird, but appealing for the same reasons that got you into trouble in the first place. There is safety and balance in the area between the two opposite poles.

Wait a minute... Wicked men rising up out of the other splinters I presume. Aren't those some of the same wicked people that were supposed to die like three years ago? Dave cracks me up! He keeps having to come up with more insane "prophesies" because the last one he made up didn't come to pass! I was wondering what he was going to come up with after that first dominion crap. I do feel for his members but there comes a time when you have to use your mind and get out!

I can almost sense your pain and feel your headache. Be careful not to let your masochistic tendencies cause you to make too many more such poor decisions. People who listen to Dave Pack can end up in the poorhouse, or even worse and more likely, in no house at all.

BB said:"Dave's career could be described as one long self-invalidation process."

Dave just can't validate these delusions all by himself and then go about getting it done. He is incompetent in that regard. So, he spends all his energy trying to convince others that he is who he says IS or who he wants to BECOME.

DennisCDiehl said:"His fables just happen to be made up and cobbled together in ways that make him feel he is a chief player in scripture and spoken of in them."

The Ministry of Dave Pack.
Restored Church GOD = The Cathedral of Narcisstic Supply.
Sin = Narcisstic Injury.
Salvation = I Am Perfect. "I AM in the Bible!"

"Come seek my salvation,..err I mean your salvation."

Comment was made saying: "According to Dave, this man is already a member of the Church of God and will come forth from the the church..."

Who is Dave Pack? What is his part? Is it "his part" to share a pack of lies with us? Can Dave be that confident to believe that some human being is that man of sin? When is a man not a man?

I've heard it asked: "When is a door not a door?" Answer? When it is ajar, but could there be another plausible answer just as good, if not better? Huh?

"When is a door not a door?" Answer? When it is Christ!

John 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

The ancient Israelites observed their first Passover where the shed blood of a murdered lamb was smeared on doors...not windows.

How does Dave know that the man of sin is some "man" when the Bible has it's own definitions for a man? Could that "man of sin" be something else other than a man? When is a man/men not a man/men?

Genesis 19:10 But the MEN put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
11 And THEY SMOTE the men that were at the door of the house WITH BLINDNESS, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

The men causing blindness were really angels, spirit beings.

When is a man not a man? Now, to be succinct, here are some more verses, without additional comment:

"The LORD is a MAN of war:" Exodus 15:3

"Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the MAN Gabriel..." Daniel 9:21

"And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two MEN stood by them in shining garments:" Luke 24:4

"And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a MAN, that is, of the ANGEL." Revelation 21:17

And as Dave Pack continues to "do his part" to share his pack of lies showing that he no doubt certainly is a "man of sin," and yes a falling away is associated with him, but he isn't fantabulous enough to be the "man of sin" cited in 2 Thess 2:3-4.

And time will tell...

John
