Gerald Flurry Continues His Mental Breakdown: Claims He Now Has The Stone of Destiny That His "jesus" Will Be Crowned Upon

From a PCG source

Gerald Flurry has made more absurd announcements regarding the dirty stone that he dug up in Oregon. It has now replaced the Stone of Scone, which was originally in the Coronation Chair in Westminister Abbey, and is now the Stone of Destiny that his bastardized "jesus" will return to and be crowned upon when he returns to earth to usher in Flurry's millennium.

A PCG source said that with his recent purchased of his 13 million dollar jet, he will now have the ability to take the stone on the plane to England where it can be placed under the Coronation Chair in Westminster Abbey so that Jesus can be properly crowned.  That is also the reason that PCG bought Edstone in order to establish a college.  That college provides him a European home base during the tribulation.  It also allows him easy access to Ireland where he still believes he will dig up the Ark of the Covenant.  With all of these magical talismans Flurry thinks he will have ultimate control and will have power under his "jesus".

Flurry Becoming More Paranoid:
May 30, 2017
In the sermon Flurry gave where he told the members that HWA's prayer rock was now the stone of destiny and Flurry the new king until Christ's return, replacing the current physical royal household, he talked about Joe Tkach Jr.'s GCI moving to North Carolina and that the Man of Sin will be closer. Also, since Tkach Jr. is very involved with evangelicals and part of them are noticing cults, he will use that power to go after PCG. --R.  From Exit and Support

Knew he'd go there with that rock business.

The Armstrong prophecy mold gave the lives of these "leaders" meaning. But, it never kicked in. Now, they must have experienced personal doubts in 1975, but we're 42 years past that, and the lives of these people are drawing to a natural close. Unrequited prophecy. That's what they are experiencing, and their minds are going crazy as it finally dawns upon them that, yes indeed, they have wasted their entire lives on a false prophet's pipedream.

Desperation. Meltdowns. More and more ridiculous pronouncements. This is no surprise. We're going to witness a lot of crazy things as the final and ultimate refutation of Herbert W. Armstrong plays itself out.

So Flurry worships a rock! How can anyone follow this bat-shit crazy man! Wake-up people! This man is insane!

Urrghh that stone looks wobbly, all misshapen and ugly. The real stone of destiny has weathered the years much better and is kept in much better circumstances inside Svotish castle. You'd have thought flurry would at least bring it inside.

Flurry is so desperate to imitate HWA that he will go to any length to claim legitimacy by owning HWA talismans. If you really stop and think about it, that stone looks like a volcanic rock that was spewed out of some volcano in the region. It is rough and jagged and not smooth like a rock carried and rolled by glaciers. Would you, if you were HWA, kneel at a jagged rock for hours on end with your elbows on it? Wouldn't a smooth rock be a little more accommodating for holding a bible or leaning against? Does Flurry even understand that HWA would never have wanted anyone to be reverencing the stone like Flurry does today? Flurry's brain work's in half-assed mode and never thinks things through.

I think the rock has more brains than Flurry or his followers. I knew the guy was off his rocker way back when he started his own cult. I feel for the kids. I hope they leave in droves like we did from the mother ship.

Flurry is obviously very concerned about "being stoned" !

In the mainstream, there is a school of thought that the physical things we see here on earth are representations or symbols of real things in heaven. In other words, there is a spiritual counterpart in heaven, a temple, a holy of holies, an ark of the covenant, thrones, etc. Taking this viewpoint soley for the sake of argumentation, this would mean that it is much more likely (and spiritually sound) that Jesus would be crowned over the spiritual, eternal version of the stone in heaven. So there is no need to find the physical version of the stone, to somehow by fantasy link it to Herbert W. Armstrong, or to transport it to the British Isles. Those would all be bogus or dubious credentials anyway. Flurry makes his preposterous, spiritually unsound connections to bring validity to his own work which for the most part goes unnoticed by the world around us. They all do this to one degree or another, and the "faithful" either lap it up or make a pretense of that so that they can remain within the good graces of their ACOG.

I'm not sure if even Dr. Phil can help Gerald Flurry at this point. But really, this man needs professional help. I agree with BB, I think guys like Flurry are now realizing that they've wasted their lives on the false religion of Armstrongism. They just cannot cope with the thought and reality of what they've wasted their lives on and where they could have been, or what they could have done if they had never been caught up in this perverted form of "Christianity," following, as BB said, "a false prophet's pipe-dream."

Following a belief system for most of one's life and then realizing it was all a lie must weigh heavily on a one's mind. People have many different ways of dealing with it, and although there is a lot of regrets and what if's, some are able to pick up the pieces and go on with their lives, others need to seek professional help, and some like Flurry just continue in it and takes others down with them because they just can't or won't face up to the reality that it was all a lie.

Who knows what is going on in Flurry's mind? But I think this man really needs to get help before he destroys himself, his family, and all of his followers. But sadly I think this man will go down to his own ruin and take many with him. I really hope that those who follow him come to their senses and get out while they can, because I see Flurry's little kingdom is about to come crashing down and the end results will be ugly for those who remain with him.

My feeling is that with the recent purchase of their jet and the financial burden of owning such an aircraft, the burden which has been passed on to the tithe payers to pay for such a luxury, is going to be the wrecking ball that will smash down and bankrupt Flurry's kingdom. I dread to think of the confusion, ruined lives, separated families, and all the other chaos this will cause to the members of the PCG. There are a lot of nails in the coffin of the PCG which also includes Flurry's insanity, but I think this jet is the final nail, and we're just waiting on Gerald or Stephen the bring down the hammer. Regardless of who hits the nail on the head, PCG's days are numbered.

Craig.

I think the insane leadership truly believe what they believe. The members might not have been educated in the art of discernment, perhaps by personal scar. For instance the common denominator in wcg members was a disturbed relationship with fatherd and family. Hwa was their new father and the church their new family.

The insane leaders are validated by the increase in succes as measured in freewill gifts.

Just like insane British Israelism validated the success and rise of the British empire. In effect it is an excersise on humility through perceived success of the group.

They do not fake or deliberately mislead people. Their mind is clouded like many in other professions.

If a persons has been growing as a Christian, they know that they have it made. They know that they have qualified for eternal life, so they wouldn't give a hoot about planes or prayer rocks or whatever. These would be off the radar.
By contrast, I drive an old car. God answers my prayers, do I don't care.

Some are too old to start over. They are going to stick it out till they die no matter what. Or they have to keep reinterpreting (rationalizing) until it gets so crazy they just can't rationalize it anymore.

My guess is that it will likely stumble along until the old man croaks. Then some will leave. Stevie will be the new apostle-prophet and keep stringing people along as long as possible.

The cost will be spread out over the years, and decades if they have to. I don't think they are going to back down from their purchases, they will make excuses to keep them. Witness the campus in England.

From Bob Dylan

Hey gerald flurry,
They'll stone you when you try to buy a jet.
They'll stone you when you try to buy a stuben.
They'll stone you when you build a concert hall.
They'll even stone you when you try to drink a beer.
Well I would not feel so all alone, everybody must get stoned.

Absolutely totally nutso.
May the PCG members leave this cult asap so that they, too, can come to read posts like this as mere entertainment.
Because, if you don't have a personal stake in it, it is objectively and enormously funny.

Great interpretation; sadly this is the case for most in the ACOG's, especially groups like PCG and RCG.

Pack is already going down this road himself, could this be why he is re-inventing all of the prophecy about Christ's second coming? Ie. first dominion, etc. And inventing the idea of "resplendence" for the elderly Church members. Wouldn't being changed in the "blink of an eye" still be better, as HWA taught?

Congratulations on the "First World Probs" redux!

The biggest rocks in the PCG are in Flurry's head.

PCG is all about the physical and nothing spiritual at all but then that applies to the entire C of G church system. They lack spirituality in every sense of the word and the physical is everything to them.

In flurrys last message he mentioned that the Germans will chastise North America and that Zu Gutenberg would be leading them. Also he mentioned that Zu aguttenberg used the theme song Hells Bells from AC/DC for his campaign...not sure if this is even true but he went on to read the lyrics of the song which was strange.

Also he mentioned that people shouldn't follow any man or minister humanly, only if they are following Christ so I presume some in the ministry are not swallowing the new revelation as we expect.

If, as the original email claims, Flurry said that possession of his new "stone of destiny" makes him king until "Christ comes", is he saying he wont die until then?

Can you picture Flurry walking up to the guards with a stone in his hands telling them that he must place it under the coronation chair so when Christ returns he can sit on it instead of the queen. What a nut job he will look like if he did that.

Of course not. He's setting us up for King Stevie.

I can't quite fathom how they are justifying that the purported stone of destiny is now the rock I watched them pull up and geek out over in Oregon. Bizzare stuff. I suppose if they can get the lay members to swallow the purchase of a private jet then they can change whatever else they want.

This kind of ballsy change of doctrine is what made me start questioning things and eventually led me to leave.

Assuming he hasn't brought it inside, wouldn't it be an absolute riot if someone stole it?

When Flurry dies like Rod M. his son and son in law will fight over leadership, sell that stupid jet, and start selling off Real Estate. Just like what happened when HWA died. Then the PCG will fade into nothing like New Coke.

Who in their right mind would want to steal that Helen wheels ?

I would for fun sake.

Just imagine six pack at the police station and the officer writing the report: Taken. Oregonian limestone. Throne stone of King Flurry. Awaiting the return of Jesus to claim his spot on the stone.

Adding. "Request assistance for surveillance of mentally instable patient."

And please have someone remove the wailing mob outside the police station.
