The German's Are Coming! The German's Are Coming! Oh Noes!!!!!!!!!!

Where would the Church of God splinter personality cults be without their favorite bogeyman who is just itching to unleash untold misery upon the United States?  If it is not Satan and his minions, it is rampaging Chinese, Muslims, or those Germans.

It is surprising that the German invaders would be something that most COG's would be cautious in promoting.  Even though with the abject failure of Herbert Armstrong's prediction that Hitler was alive in South America where he was rallying his troops for an emanate invasion, Hitler died and Herbert died, and the myth still gets promoted as a tool to scare members into giving the fear-mongers more money.

The biggest proponent of this myth right now is Unordained Elijah, Elisha, Amos, Joshua, Habakkuk, false prophet and certified liar, Bob Thiel.   Today he is hyperventilating over a new video game out that has Germans invading the United States.  A stupid video game and the deluded false prophet go into to hysterics.

Will Germans ever control the streets of the USA? Well, a popular video game somewhat promotes this view:

Wolfenstein II creative director reveals more about a Nazified America

July 27, 2017
There’s a new preview out for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and it will give you the creeps. In fact, it will make you so angry that you’ll have no compunctions blasting the Nazis who have taken over America in this upcoming video game.
Just as it did with Wolfenstein: The New World Order in 2014, Machine Games is flexing its creativity in showing what America would look like if the Nazis had won World War II and went on to conquer the United States. You’ll see Americans kowtowing to the Nazi officers, and Klansmen roaming the streets freely. …

From that, apostate Thiel has this to say:

How would the USA really be like under German domination?
Well, although I have not actually played the related video games, from what I have read about them the reality will be worse than the games portray.
Why do I say that?
Because of what Jesus warned:
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:15-22)
As usual, the epic lair has to proof-text and pick out scripture that supports he deluded reasoning.

When those pesky Germans show up it is going to be worse than the game could have imagined.  Apostate Thiel continues with his hyperventilating bit:

The Bible also warns that the time will come when ‘friends’ from Europe/Germany will be part of the destruction of the USA. Notice a couple of supporting prophecies related to that:
2… All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; They have become her enemies. (Lamentations 1:2b)
Could Germany actually win militarily in a conflict with the USA?
Yes.
But, before getting into reasons why, regarding the first Wolfenstein game, notice the following about its plot:
Three years after the destruction of the Black Sun portal, the Nazis have deployed advanced technologies, enabling them to turn the tide against the Allies. (Wolfenstein: The New Order. Wikipedia, accessed 07/27/17)
This is not quite what will happen, but two of the parallels to prophecy are striking.
How so?
The deluded false prophet sees a great beast rising out of the sea to wreak havoc long with Baron Gutenberg and the Hadron Collider.

The ‘sea’ the Beast rises out of is the Mediterranean Sea (cf. Joshua 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16); see also Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation and/or watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European? Notice that the military power of the Beast was something that the world will marvel, be astonished about.
Why?
Because no one really thought that the European Beast power had the military ability to do what it did.

The False Prophet of Africa ends with this:

A power like Germany speaks a language that most in the USA do not understand. Germany is a nation from afar of the USA. It is a nation that will be involved in the destruction of the USA.
The coming destruction and domination by Germany will be worse than the Wolfenstein video games indicate.
It apparently will not be long till the Germans invade the Five Cities region of California and set up their HQ in the most glorious Church of God ever to exist.  The Germans will be so in awe of Thiel's prophetic utterances that they will preserve Thiel's HQ and run their invasion of the U.S. from there.

Fun days are ahead!

Bob Thiel is a blithering idiot. Now you see why those of us in LCG got so sick of him and rejoiced when he was kicked out. His prophetic knowledge is right up there with my dog. He wags his tail and salivates when he utters this kind of garbage and if you pat him on the head and say "Good Boy!" he calms down for a while.

Thiel is the abomination of defecation!

The British Royal family are of German heritage, and the majority US DNA is German. Isn't Donald Trump actually Donald Drumpf?

Is this the way the Theiliebopper ascends to prophethood? By regurgitating German Assyrianism from Herbert W. Armstrong? Good luck with that.

Now, President Trump could turn the world against the USA by continuing to be a hardliner climate change denier, as the next stages scientists feared on the Larsen C ice shelf in Antarctica now kick into play. But, then again, reality has nothing to do with the theories or prophecies of HWA.

It is just awful how so many within the COGs continue to promote this ridiculous allegation that Germans will soon conquer the United States. It also strikes me as pathetic that Theil is citing a video game to promote this inaccurate and inflammatory claim.

Also the Germans are not Assyrians. That claim is also wrong. There are still Assyrians in the Middle East. They have still preserved their identity as a distinctive community.

Incidentally Theil is a name originating from German and Dutch.

Bob's affair with prophecy is a sideshow that has been given center stage.
A quick look shows that Bob's Bible News Prophecy videos are more popular than CCOG videos, and very, very few of them have over 1000 views.

For most of my life people of the USA have feared other nations. This would include the USSR, Iraq, Iran, & Japan. Now, I think many (including myself) fear our own nation & leaders.

Germany & most of Europe is a laughingstock! They are being taken over by Muslims & aren't even fighting back. Regarding prophesy, the COG had better come up with a Plan B.

LCG is funny. They tell their people not to read other "Christian" materials, while their own writers plagiarize from Flurry and even from mainstream Protestant sources (as in the latest Living Church News).

The ACOGs cannot win. When they recycle old Herbism, they become more and more dated. When they copy modern televangelists, they may fool current mushroom-members but they won't impress potential new members. It's a dying movement, that can only survive by repudiating HWA, but in repudiating HWA it might as well just shut down and start over.

Bob revealed another amazing connection between Germany and US invasion: Germany is far away, and most in the US don't speak German.
So? Well, Deut. 28:49 says, The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand.
The story that German almost became the official language is a fanciful tale (it had to do with proposed multilingual documents) but about 50% in the USA claim some German ancestry (for me, 25%), and over 1 million speak German (ich spreche etwas Deutsch). But... over 50% of Germans speak English!
The two countries geographically most distant from the USA ("from the end of the earth") are Australia and Indonesia (I understand Strine but not Bahasa Indonesia).

I got curious as to exactly how the Assyrian-German connection was supported (I remember HWA literature saying that, of course, but didnt recall any evidence offered).

Always the Germans attacking America in 1972 to kick off the Great Tribulation. Here's something I wrote this morning on Facebook before I'd even seen this post. I think it's pretty typical of all ACOG stories:

"What led me into "god addiction? I had been quite the sceptic up until I came across that stupid "Plain Truth" magazine at my uncle's home in 1952 with the sensational headline "Hitler did not die!" It was pure Police Gazette type tabloid bullshit, but it suckered in a lot of people. I was one of them.
There was no arguing with the fact that what people worshipped was nothing more than warmed over paganism, but it never occurred to inexperienced and basically theologically ignorant me that I was falling for something that had the same kind of roots in ancient Canaanite multi-god religion.
I was assured that I was one of the especially "called out" ones tasked with bringing "the truth" to a deceived world. That made the sheltered and socially deprived and backward ranch kid I was something special, and that really appealed to my all-wise, now-enlightened but woefully underdeveloped eighteen-year-old intellect.
I'd been "called." Out of all those deceived masses of the world, an omnipotent god had singled me out to be a part of his "endtime" work of warning the world about the coming apocalypse.
In the interim, I've come to see just how insane it all was, but it didn't look that way back then anymore than the thousand year Reich looked insane to the Hitler Youth of the 1930s and 1940s. They were going to change and save the world too. We know how that turned out, and what I got suckered into didn't fare any better."

The idea that Germany is modern day Assyria is just as fallacious as the idea that the USA is modern day Israel. Both ideas come from the same pseudo-history developed by Herman Hoeh and which is has long since denounced.

A cursory study of genetics is enough to convince anyone who is in touch with reality that the Germans did not come from the Middle East and are not Semitic. They are not the right haplogroup for this odd idea. The whole thing about Trier and Ninus is legendary and does not alter the genetic fact of Germany's genetic heritage.

What remains vital and energetic is the use of this erroneous idea in the "medicine show" deception about prophecy sustained by Armstrongite organizations to raise money.
I am saddened that people believe in such bizarre things as British-Israelism and Donald Trump as President.

Armstrongism CAUSED the jihadists, Richard. There have been many articles and strategy papers tracing radical Islam back to Dennis Rohan's act of arson upon the Al Aqsa Mosque. It infuriated many Muslims, and convinced them that they were not getting proper respect, and could easily be overrun unless they stood up for themselves.

The fact that the true Assyrians live today in the Middle East, are haplogroup J like the Jews and other Middle Easterners and are small in population demonstrates that the prophecies concerning Assyria have come and gone. This small group of Semitic people, now mostly Christian, are not going to rise up to challenge North America.

We have more to fear from Donald Trump's mentors, the Russians. But, alas, these Russians are fellow Indo-Europeans and are not even mentioned in the Bible. All of Noah's descendants were haplogroup J (it is biologically impossible for them to be otherwise) including Tubal and Meschech. The Russians are principally haplogroup R1a and are far removed from the Noachian clans that lived in the Middle East. In fact the Russians are the same people as the central and eastern Germans. (The idea that Russians are Japhethic and, hence, racially different from Germans is an error on the part of Herman Hoeh. Hoeh did not have genetic research to inform his work or he might have come up with something much different.) The Bible is focused on the Noachian clans and in particular the Jews and everybody else is just referred to as Gentile, including the British people and their Russian and German cousins.

A few hours studying genetics and one is led to the conclusion that the Biblical Table of Nations is either malarkey or refers to a small population of related people who lived relatively recently in human history. I believe the latter and this is compatible with genetics.

Hitler is the most lied about and maligned man in history. That's what we do to our enemies. We do the same thing today to Russia and they are bending over backwards to be our friends. It's endless lies from the media propaganda machine. Anyone with a clue knows it. Fake news. The truth about Hitler is extremely relevant because Herbert built a work on fake news and the same fake news and fake history perpetuates the split-offs today.

Byker Bob said...

Guided by the research methodology of Hislop, "Dr." Hoeh busily rushed around to find historical proof-texts to validate the bizarre theories which Herbert W. Armstrong had incorporated into the beliefs and prophecies which he taught. Assyria in prophecy becomes very much like Tyre (on which sets a city today) and Babylon (which Sadam Hussein partially restored).

The German "master race" (of which Hitler was not typical) was Aryan (Nordic peoples). And as NEO pointed out, much of Germany was Slavic, as are many Russians.

Also, will the real Ephraim please stand up? Who are they supposed to be? Picts? Celts? Romans? Angles? Saxons? Normans? All of these distinct groups and more were part of the history of England leading up to the 1600s. Who are the real royal family? William the Conqueror (also called William the Bastard) supplanted Anglo-Saxon royalty in 1066, as he launched the Norman conquest of England. Later, come the more English Plantagenets, Lancaster, York, Tudor, and Stuarts, and you have periods of time during the 1600s following the execution of Charles I when there was no monarch. Later, Catholics who would have been in direct line of succession were excluded. The British Royalty was nothing like the orderly succession of David's heirs in ancient Israel.

There is much more to the picture than the fantasies which we were led to believe!

Well, Armstrong was kind of an philosopher in a pivotal moment in human history. (20th century) when suddenly after 100.000 years of slow pace things started developing exponentially). Kinda like watching someone comment on the development of Los Angeles or Detroit when they only had 6000 inhabitants. Some things are recognizable others are scaled.

Spiritual aspects. I am anticipating the find of 1st century papyri by some Roman named nck inserting his comments that this John guy in his visions was talking about current understanding of the Roman empire. Just as some tech wizzard in the 22nd century finding digital remains discussing Armstrongism will clearly recognize its setting in the 20th century, cold war context and some predictions that have come to pass like humankind having populated some planets and ruling them like kings.

Interpretation of our surroundings. Yes that is what we humans do. And of course trying to extract some patterns in order to survive the next time that herd of buffaloe tramples our tent.

Why is it that every time someone mentions answered pray, BB is always the first one out of the stall, throwing his verbal jabs. God is no respecter of persons. If a person has a relationship with God and lives by the ten commandments, that persons prayers are answered. I know sincere Christian's from different denominations, and they tell me that their prayers are answered. By their body language and tone of voice, I believe them. If some Christian becomes a atheist, there is something that they are hiding from others.
It's Christians that are hated, not atheists. Hence the anonymity. This is in plain view in politics where it is conservative speakers that need bodyguards and conservative speakers that are chased off university campuses.

Byker Bob said...

You are either selective in your reading, 1:26, or else you seriously misjudge me. I do not deny answered prayer. In fact, It is something I experience myself every day. What I do deny is answered prayer according to the Armstrong mold of false prophecy. We know that this simply cannot be, because false prophecy is by definition a lie. So, therefore, how could God confirm it? That would have to be either a figment of the brainwashed imagination, or bias confirmation.

I also disagree regarding atheists not being persecuted. When I was an atheist in liberal Southern California, I received far more persecution than I ever had as an Armstrongite. People did not want my line of thought absorbed by their children. Kids at school even told my son that their parents had said he was going to burn in hell. This traumatized him greatly. I am not an atheist today, but you can see right here on this site how some of the atheists receive just as much persecution as we Christians.

BB

Byker Bob said...

Also, 1:26, think of it from this perspective. What if a Christian with the right body language and tone of voice told you that God had confirmed through prayer that it was alright to eat pork chops, or that He was a trinity, or that Martians would come and rescue us from global warming? And, what if that person told you that if you disagreed and thought that impossible, you were an atheist masquerading as a Christian and did not believe in answered prayer? Do you see the problem?

I can practically guarantee that anyone who has ever started an Armstrong splinter believes that he and his beliefs have been confirmed by God through prayer. Look at all of the twisting and mental gyrations we've watched Bob Thiel go through over the past several years!
