The Tribulation CANNOT and WILL NOT Happen Before 2022, so says Bitter Deluded COG Wanna-Be Prophet

It has now been guaranteed to the entire world that the tribulation will not and cannot be happening before 2022.  Everyone now has a few more years left to go to school, get a new job, buy a new car, get married or just party down for the next five years.  If a COG prophet says this will happen this way it HAS TO BE TRUE!  Would a COG leader or minister ever LIE  like this to members?  COG leaders are the most truthful men who have ever walked this earth!  God speaks directly to them in dreams and revelations.  You MUST believe this...and them!

Is the end of the world near?
When is the earliest year that the Great Tribulation can begin?
Various ones seem to feel that it can begin in 2017 or 2018 or that it already started some time ago.
Those who believe and understand what the Bible actually teaches realize that the Great Tribulation cannot begin before 2021.
While I wrote that I did not feel that the Great Tribulation could start during Donald Trump’s first term (which ends in January of 2021), it should now be more certain for others to realize that this is so.
Jesus gave a variety of signs/events that had to happen prior to the start of the Great Tribulation in Matthew 24. Not only have many not happened, a preceding event in Daniel 9:27 involving the confirmation of a seven-year deal still has not happened. Since it did not happen as of July 3, 2017, this means that it is not possible for the Great Tribulation to begin for at least 3 1/2 years (half of a biblically-prophetic week).
At this instant, unless we see more major conflict in the Middle East between now and the end of the Summer, it is unlikely that the Great Tribulation can begin prior to 2022.
So there you have it!  God's most important man in this end times has assured you that the Great Trib will not be happening till 2022!

This great man then goes on to mock James Malm and Ron Weinland for their equally deluded end time malarkey:

People who claim to be COG, like James Malm and Ronald Weinland, are in error as to timing as they have looked to their own understanding instead of what the Bible teaches.
The Great Tribulation is coming, but it will not begin in 2017.
While these two men are admittedly crazier than hell, God's only end time man through whom he is working in this present age is apparently incapable of making a false prophecy too.  So what will this equally deluded man say in 2021 and 2022 when not one single thing will happen according to his revelation?  Oh wait, I know...
Jesus delays his coming because the church members are not ready. Besides, it is not up to us to know the day or time of his coming.
We have heard this bullshit excuse for 60 some years now.

In 2022 when Delicate almost-arrested, Elisha, Amos, Elijah, Joshua, Habakkuk, doubly cursed, bitter "son" of Rod Meredith and world renown authority on Fatima visions Bob Thiel starts making his usual excuses, we can always remind him of his own idiotic false prophecies.  The great smug one in Arroyo Grande is sitting there right now snickering to himself as he reads this that he will be proven right and is incapable of being wrong.

And, we will be watching the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Instead of worrying about the end of days they need to start treating their members with a little more respect and dignity. Kindness goes a long way.

Speaking of Weinland, he appears to be AWOL- no sermon last week, and his upcoming trips have been cancelled.

Anybody know anything?

Oh, thats just Bob trying to figure how much time he has to wait before he can openly declare himself to be a "Two Witness". :)

I say it that way because sooner or later he'll probably get frustrated and try to think of a twisting of the passage that allows him to be the two witnesses in one person. Probably based on a Spanish imaginative reinterpretation of a Mayan codex that was actually written as a kids' book and the Spanish were just too dumb to figure it out.

Leave it to Bob Thiel to seek something of value from a society in which the priests routinely administered intoxicating ritual enemas to produce spiritual enlightenment. There are ancient carvings of priests with frighteningly large enema bags administering this sacrament to acolytes, as visions of bizzarre creatures fly just above their heads. Makes frat boy parties look pretty lame!

In our own times, we got to experience that these enigmatic enemas were apparently just as effective in helping the Mayans know when the endtimes calendar should suddenly stop as keeping the Old Covenant sabbath was in helping Herbert Armstrong know when the tribulation was to begin! Lucky us! Instead of the ministers giving us enemas, we got to keep the sabbath! Unfortunately, the end result of both disciplines was the same.

If my understanding of Bob's accounts are correct - prophetic dreams to confirm what he thinks, prophetic warnings in hindsight, the Monte Carlo method of prophecy (making many speculations, some of which appear to be correct) - then predicting some unlikely event will not happen fits right in.

Mark13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are..

This is ignored and twisted by the splinters. They say 'yes, but we can know the month and year.' This is adding to what Christ was saying. Only the unfolding of history will enable us to know how close the end is.
I notice that no one seems to be looking at the false gods that are still being worshiped, and that God is allowing to play out. God doesn't want future generations claiming that certain ideas weren't tried, so I don't think God is in a hurry to bring down the curtain.

False prophet BobT wrote: "...Jesus delays his coming because the church members are not ready. Besides, it is not up to us to know the day or time of his coming..."

Jesus Christ said: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

It's false prophets like BobT, James Malm, Flurry, etc. with their belief in some Mickey Mouse millennium (MMM) of Jesus Christ reigning on earth for 1,000 years that provide us with almost daily tribulation.

We have had tribulation since the days of Adam and Eve and there is no let-up. False prophets add to our daily tribulation.

Well, there was another lie from the mind of false prophet BobT: "Jesus delays his coming because the church members are not ready."

If God the Father were that stupid to wait for some "church members" to be ready, then Jesus would never return. Just reflect on BobT: is he ready? James Malm: is he ready? How would any of these xcog hireling leaders ever make themselves ready? Flurry, Weston, Winnail, Meredith (oops, forget that one), Hulme, Pack, Kubik: are any of them ready?

The existing Mickey Mouse Kingdom down in Florida is very successful today one in California...s, but these leaders' MMMillennium will not be successful.

So, all of these leaders may continue to blame/judge their followers for not being ready! Yes, continue to blame/judge fellow human beings, while they've all been told the following:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Eph 6:12

They all wrestle the wrong things with their blaming/judging, but what else can one expect when they all oppose one another as they all preach their version, by another spirit (I John 3:8; James 4:5, etc.) of another spirit, another Jesus and another gospel.

So, BobT wants to remind us of this: "Besides, it is not up to us to know the day or time of his coming."

DUH!!!!!!! Do you, BobT, think we are not familiar with some of the following?

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Of course, Jesus today may now know the day and hour He is returning. We don't really know, but after He does return we may ask Him when He actually became aware of that which was a secret at one time to God the Father.

And time will tell...

False prophet (FP) BobT consider this prophecy!

"That no flesh should glory in his presence." 1 Corinthians 1:29

So, what or who, ever gave you the idea that church members, flesh, could ever make themselves ready for anything?

FP BobT, consider a true prophet's words:

"O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jer 10:23

So, what or who, ever gave you the idea that church members, flesh, could ever come up with a way to make themselves ready for anything?

When you are ready, if all you said it true, please advise us exactly what we must do to make ourselves ready.

Of course, time will tell...

John

Like so many posts on here, this one is based on plain ignorance. Bob is not saying anything is going to happen in 2021 or 2022. He is simply saying that the great trib cannot start before 2021 and not likely before 2022, so any who speculates it is going to start between now and 2021 must be wrong.

The reason he says this, is that he understands Dan 9 as prophesying a 7 year peace treaty which will be broken in the middle of it, which will then trigger the great trib. With that in mind, if no peace treaty is in place, then it means there must be at least 3.5 years until the great trib could possibly start. Add 3.5 yrs to current date, and that will be the earliest the great trib could start, and only if the peace treaty is made at the current date.

If you are going to criticize and mock someone, then at least do it based on what the person has actually said or done.

Thiel and other god-haunted loons are not the only ones predicting The End of the World As We Know It. Seculars are getting in on the act. The guy making the biggest splash recently is renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, who says humanity better develop a plan for starting colonies elsewhere, because the earth will be unfit to live on by about 2120, give or take a few years. He does not base his prediction on the Bible, nor any other religious text, nor on supernatural revelation through dreams. He looks at current trends in the natural world and projects their outcome based on a scientific understanding of natural processes.

Since I was never anointed and inadvertently doubly blessed as Bob Thiel was, I do not possess the gift of prophecy Bob claims. I do trust Bob’s judgement on one point, though. Based on the track record not only of HWA and his disciples, but also of other prophets before and since who prophesied humanity’s apocalyptic demise, I expect Thiel is right that the Tribulation will not happen before 2022.

As for Hawking’s doomsday scenario, I hardly know what to say. Let’s just say I'm not holding my breath. Long before the predicted terminus, I will have no breath to hold, anyway. Like HWA, GTA, RCM, Hoeh, Waterhouse, and just about every reader of this blog, I will have met my own personal Armageddon.

Hawking seems to be in line with some other projections being made. The models based on climate change project a sea rise of up to 12 feet by 2100. And as of right now, we've lost over 50% of the creature population of the oceans since 1980, and the oceans are loading up with swirling gires of mankind's plastic garbage. But, what I call the hired "cigarette scientists" have been hired by the fossil fuel industry of the US to offer plausible denial that anything is even amiss.

Hawkings' projections are based on current trends. If humans begin to take certain existential threats seriously, perhaps these trends can be reversed or slowed. As RP pointed out, most of us here now are not in danger, unless someone stumbles across the fountain of youth.

Anon 1:33--Rightly said, but you won't find many on here that can see that, their mindset is only on judging, criticizing, and condemning but have no answers themselves, they know it all but can tell us nothing. Thief is right on many things but you will never here that on here by all these know it alls, even the things he says right from the bible will get shot down.

...the Apocalypse will not happen before 2060... - Sir Isaac Newton

But unlike Hawking, Newton's prediction was based on Daniel and Revelation.

11:30 ~ Some of us who post here have realized that Armstrongism lied to us, in that they taught us that they had answers when they really had none. Sometimes the real answer is that there are some things for which there are no answers because they are unknowable. That being the case, if we provided answers, they, too, would be guesses, and false ones, and we would become just as bad as the "leaders" whom we criticize.

In the Armstrong movement, the so-called answers are not provided as being optional or public service announcements. They are given with the specific purpose of cultivating followers and manipulating them into an agenda. Believe me when I tell you that if the "information" that HWA had provided that the Germans were coming in 1972 and Jesus would return in 1975 had been accurate (and therefore from God) I would have considered that to be the pivotal and defining element of my life, and would have been eternally grateful. I can't even imagine how forty + years after the fact, people are still revising the old math, still coming up with excuses, recycling the same failures, and call that "answers".

The repeated failure is why these man made ideas no longer have any credibility, and why the so-called Armstrong Churches of God (ACOGs) are not growing.

If you've come here still looking for answers to questions HWA or one of his "heirs" taught that you should have, you are still the victim of a false teacher, one who gave you a false premise, a premise pointing to himself, his organization, his agenda. The idea that some man was a special exception, and could give you answers to things that Jesus said nobody but the Father knew, was part of the false teachings. That's where all of the false teachers and prophets start.
Once they succeed in convincing you that they have been sent by God, they've got you.

The ACOG history of failed end time prophecies are no different than those of Global Warming. Al Gore’s been harping on global warming since at least the late 1980s, but it wasn’t until 2006 he discovered a way to become massively wealthy off making movies about it and investing in government-subsidized green energy. Likewise, the Armstrong Profits of doom and gloom such as Roderick C. Meredith lived a lifetime avoiding any real work living off the dumb tithe slave sheep by always predicting the next future date of the Great Tribulation to be 3 to 5 years away in order to keep the income stream coming.

BB 8:36..Nice dance BB in trying to answer what I said, you really overlooked what I did say to put your phony slant on it. You missed my point today in what you said, probably because you just have to say something about every comment but many times you end up saying nothing even though yo use many words to do so. BUT, In saying this I don't mean to take away from the times you did have good answers though.

Tactful, and I appreciate that. The problem with Bob Thiel is that he is so arrogant, and so wrong most of the time that even if he stated that the Pope was Catholic, people would question it simply because it came from Thiel. Goes to basic credibility, and you've got to know that that's on his mind, bothering him, because he constantly whines about the people who won't recognize his prophetship. Criticism or doubt aren't persecution if you bring it all on yourself.

So far as something being "right out of the Bible", the readers and posters who are of the agnostic persuasion are going to question those statements first, before even noticing a crooked picture on Bob's office wall. Let's face it, the guy self-sabotages by making himself easily dismissed. No need to do any dancing to paint him into that corner, as it's something he does to himself.

Sometimes I get so annoyed at some of Bob Thiel's basic Biblical mistakes and hodgepodge videos I wish there was a Bob's Blunder Blog on which to bellow.
Now I do have some affinity with his predicaments, as in junior high school I was an arrogant (thought-I-) know-it-all, and I still go on in a convoluted style and wander off topic.

"right out of the Bible"

Maybe that's why he has such a small following - his audience actually looks at the Bible and and can't read between the lines as he does.
