The World's Foremost Prophet and Trumpologist, Bob Thiel and the 101 Dalmatians

Oh, wait....wrong story!

Almost arrested and jailed Bob Thiel is on his blog today bragging about how he has scored his 101st radio interview.  The idea that any radio host would deem Thiel a legitimate theology/prophecy source shows how little research these hosts have actually done.

Habakkuk Thiel imagines himself an impeachable authority on President Donald Trump.  His prophetic utterances on Trump are so significant that he wrote a book on the subject, which in turn led a radio host to interview him.
As long-term readers are aware, I, Dr. Bob Thiel, AKA COGwriter have frequently been a radio guest. However, because of scheduling and other issues they are usually not announced here.
But sometimes they are.
Today, I am scheduled to be on The Morning Show with Mike Hogan. This would be on KHUB 1340 AM out of Freemont, Nebraska. August 8th 9:30 am CDT/7:30 am PDT. The host and I expect to discuss prophetic aspects Donald Trump’s presidency and items related to my book Donald Trump and America’s Apocalypse.
Unless it is preempted or something, this will be the 101st radio appearance since the formation of the [improperly named] Continuing Church of God on 12/28/12. My 102nd radio interview is scheduled for the Republic Broadcasting Network (RBN) Friday, August 11th at 12:00 pm CDT.
I guess in a way it is good that Elijah Thiel is getting on these programs and letting the world further see what a theologically bankrupt fool he is.

So why is the dubiously blessed prophet hopping on the radio to share his false prophecies?  Because Herb did!  Who would have guessed?

Of course, being on radio is something that COG leaders have done since no later than the 1930s. Radio was used so much to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom and other biblical messages, that after he left CG7, the late Herbert W. Armstrong initially named his group the Radio Church of God.
Bitter Bob Thiel then trots out a quote from Leroy Neff from 1959 about how God opened a door that no man can shut.  Remember the myth that the church used to teach that radio was specifically invented so that the church could spread the gospel, just like the printing press was invented so that HWA could send out mimeographs of his "Plain Truth", or that airplanes were invented so that HWA and other prophets of the church could fly around the world witnessing to world leaders.  Apparently, Elisha Thiel still is stupid enough to believe this. The door cannot be shut on his church, even though he insistently is whining that it is about to be.

Revelation 3:7-13: “And to the angel of the Church in Philadelphia write these things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that OPENETH, and no man SHUTTETH; and SHUTTETH and no man openeth.” The great door that God has opened to this work is the facility to go into all the world and preach the gospel; the door of radio, the door of the printing press, plus many other such doors. God has set before us an open door and no MAN can shut it. God can shut it, and He will when the work is finished and the Philadelphia Church goes to a place of safety. “I know thy works: Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name” (verse 8).
Notice that this Church has works. It has works of ZEAL and of REPENTANCE. This Church has only a little strength. But, by contrast, the Church of Laodicea believes that IT is increased with goods and has a great deal of strength. Philadelphia has little strength to do this great work that God has given it to do. God has opened the door, and yet look how insignificant, how weak, how little strength we as a Church have to do that work. How much we lack in every way, and yet God has opened the door and has given us certain vital, supernatural, spiritual gifts. Very often we lack enough money to pay the radio bills and other expenses. WE ARE FEW IN NUMBER, while many other eras of the Church of God numbered in the hundreds of thousands. We indeed have little strength. And yet, look at the great power that God has placed before us. (Neff L. What Is the LAODICEAN CHURCH? Good News, August 1959)
Ah yes, that same worn out story that "we are few in number" and therefore MUST be the one true church.  It was a lie then and is still a lie today.
We in the [Improperly named] Continuing Church of God are going through the open doors in radio as well as with the printing press, the internet, travel, and personal contact.  This includes to areas, like Africa, with Gentiles.
How long do we have to wait for false prophet Thiel to be jetting off to see world leaders with a piece of Steuben Crystal in his briefcase or his big thick Bible so he can thrust it in the face of world leaders?  If Gerald Flurry can be setting himself up to do this, why can't Amos Thiel?  But then, Flurry is a liar and a false teacher just like the African Bwanna Thiel is.

AM radio? Nebraska? Quite a worldwide work there.

LOL! When I looked at his site the other day and saw him bragging about 101 radio shows, I too thought of the 101 dalmatians.

Who listens to am radio anymore? In my car and at home I stream all radio and music, usually European stations. Until Apostate Apostle Thiel gets on European stations I will never get to hear him.

Ok, here are facts on KHUB Fremont Nebraska.

It is a TINY radio station that broadcasts with only 500 Watts of power. The signal barely can carry to the outskirt suburbs of Omaha.
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?call=khub&x=11&y=7&sr=Y&s=C

Second, It has NO Arbitron rating at all in Omaha, which means that less than 1/10th of 1 percent of all radio listeners are tuned in...
http://ratings.radio-online.com/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb085

But lets be generous and allow for KHUB AM 1340 to have the minimum 0.1 Arbitron rating and that it covers ALL of Omaha and the general market there. Here is the math for the total audience...

The total market has 694,000 people. On average according to Arbitron, 10% of all people are listening to the radio. This means that 69,400 people were listening to the radio. Given the generous 0.1 rating (which is a concession remember) this means that Thiel was heard by 69 people.

In reality , Thiel was heard by less than 50 people because of the lack of signal coverage of the market and the lack of even a 0.1 arbitron rating. Thiel could reach more people with his message by being a sign twirler!

Radio had it's day. That day is gone. I have my car radio set to the local Cottonwood station just for the music they play, local news and weather, etc. However, I seldom turn it on. Satellite TV is where the action is today and the competition for viewers is intense. People tune in to see what interests them, and except for a minuscule few, that's not religion. You have to have a startling message and expert delivery to grab attention for a few seconds during channel surfing.

It was different back there in the 1930s, 40s, 50s, etc. Even RCG/WCG had to turn to television and once magnetic Garner Ted was out of the picture, even that wasn't all that effective. I really don't think Thiel is magnetic in any sense of the word. Oh, he probably likes to think he is. All narcissists imagine themselves at the top of every heap, but reality is quite a different thing.

You're going to the nowhere you have always gone, Thiel.

Well, that's what you can expect from the airheads in the corporate news media. The idiots they parade before us are a spectacle of treasonous morons. How do you think a Trotsky loving commie like Bernie Sanders got so far without being called out? Trotsky was the guy who said Stalin should have killed a lot more people. 20 million dead wasn't enough. And Sanders was the best candidate they had in both parties on a number of issues. If that does not wake people up they are comatose. By design, of course.

And, another thing about TV. Now, there are hundreds of channels. When Garner Ted was holding forth with his entertaining delivery and bombast, most people depended on aerials and local stations. Now, there are hundreds on every conceivable format. I listen mostly to local CBS news on 15, Check out the American Heroes offering, the science channels, NGC and BBC. If something interests me, I try to tune in. If not, I'm here on the computer most likely.

How does Robert's radio audience compare to the number of people actually reading this article?

Of the 50 people that listen to Theil, one of them could be the next Herbert Armstrong.

What Bob needs is a TV commercial during the Super Bowl. Radio does not work because Americans are not listeners, they are verbal aggressors. And they need visual stimulation to keep them awake. Further, for best results, the TV commercial should be aimed at the intellectual level of a five year old.

Thiel's radio broadcast will have a minuscule number of listeners, yet he will LIE and state that hundreds of thousands to several million will have tuned in to hear him. He has lied before about his audience.

Come on boys and girls, Profit Thiel will start screaming persecution for daring to question the number of listeners to his pathetic program.

Or maybe even the next DAVE PACK or GERALD FLURRY! Oh boy!

I don't think it would be possible to build an Armstrong empire today starting out like he did. First, you have to have the super salesman bombast that none of the wannabees has. Then, you have to keep conning enough supporters to allow for such phenomenal growth and get them to accept the duty of tithing without captive audiences that flit all over the TV channels. Face it, Herb and Garner Ted had something few have and it's either born in you or you never will have it. And, like I pointed out earlier, social and technological conditions were vastly different back there in the middle of the twentieth century. People were glued to their radios, not their smart phones. My mother listened to the radio soaps all day long and we had religious programming on on Sunday. Just look around when you're out there. Nearly everybody has a phone in his/her hand and is texting and tweeting away. It's a different world entirely.

Aw, come on! Don't you cynics who are making the negative comments know that hundreds of thousands of Africans in little tribes and villages will be miraculously streaming KHUB on their laptops, tablets, and Smartphones during this very special interview? Why I bet you even think KHUB is short for hubris! Don't ridicule or scoff! I mean, realize that David Hasselhoff is a huge, huge rock star in Germany and nobody in the USA knows about it or would even guess! So why can't Bob Thiel be huge as a Theilologist somewhere? A little respect for the prophet, please???

Bob Thiel tries to be masculine when he speaks, but he comes across as rather effeminate in his mannerisms and speaking. It is the same issue Rod Meredith and one of his sons had.

Truly Bob Thiel and the rest of the grand poobah brigade prove Ecclesiastes. "There is nothing new under the sun"

In my former association. Must play sermons were filled with the same stories over and over of the glory days of WCG and HWA, or about the ministers life. It was just a reflection of a reflection of a reflection reflecting on top down government and who was in charge.

There's more gospel truth in Yertle the Turtle than every multipart sermon proclaiming why XYZ CoG is the one true church and doing more of a work.

Their work is vanity and grasping at the wind.

Hahahah BB 10:49,

That is excellent!
Some more spelling mistakes in nckian style.

Indeed you speak the truth.
I am heavily engaged in an effort to connect another 3 billion people in the way you describe.
However if indeed they will in fact stream Thiel can be factually checked.

You do know about David Haselhoff????? I am surprised at your esoteric knowledge, I have competition I see.

Again you speak the truth.

His fame as a rockstar is due to the release of his song "I've been looking for freedom" strangely coinciding with the gaping holes in the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the playing of that song during some manifestations.

To many of that generation in especially the eastern part of Germany David Haselhoff's song evokes strong emotions in the sense of "what were you doing when kennedy was shot."

You are verifiably speaking the truth from esoteric sources.

We are on our way to engage in tithe paying to each other, my suggestion is to start with "settling on mutual terms", perhaps expanding into a "free of charge" mutual operation.

After some plugin adjustments, I got KHUB in an on-and-off manner. I heard a few spot adverts on the advantages of radio as an advertising medium. But I missed Bob's Prophecy 101 interview.
I remember a classic self-help book that had a story about a famous singer (and I forgot her name, and the title of the book) who in her early years would jump to get any radio exposure possible. And some shows will get anyone they can to interview - remember Peter Venkman's World of the Psychic on Ghostbusters II?
And Bob's expertise on the Apocalyptic President - he wrote books on both Trump and Clinton - he could tell you what the President would do, but not who it would be...
