Demons are calling Dave Pack and setting fires around the world

Dave Pack says:

“So and so called and said he left a message a couple of days ago wanting to speak with a minister, has not heard anything yet. [Well, here’s why.] He thinks he is the Antichrist and it is urgent he speaks with someone.”
Now…to get help so he can shift the job to someone else? Or to send us a message? He did note in the 15 minutes that he had schizophrenia in the past; so that’s a tell-tale sign. But the person that was listening, politely interrupted him, said it sounded as if he needed to speak to a minister, and…we’ll have to talk to that woman, one of the ladies who answer the phone. I feel bad for the minister that took that call, but anyway, he said that he would speak to any minister.
So I mention that because one of the things you are seeing in the world…We’re going to come back to this in a different way in just a very few minutes…One of the things that you’re seeing in the world is more demon activity. You should get out of your head the idea that a significant increase, or an increase or even a significant increase of demon activity and the power of the devil will only come when he descends into Jerusalem. It’s been my experience and I knew this would happen and said so a number of months ago, before the devil shows ALL power and signs and lying wonders, you’re going to see him evident across the world.
After all, he is the spirit that works in the children of disobedience and he’s going to begin to do more and more before the big day in his mind, if you will. So we’re going to see more and more of those kinds of things. It’s no doubt why there is more wars, rumors of wars and commotions; why this terrible shooting that occurred in Washington on Wednesday that will change nothing. It didn’t even change the tone for the whole day; never mind that all of the tone of unity and, you know, kumbaya, that everybody was claiming to pursue, was gone by the next day entirely. You see?
So, the prince of the power of the air works on certain people and not just that guy. And when you see terrible fires…where they now estimate over 100 are going to die, when the first reports were only two, in that 27-story Grenfell Tower in London…and so many, many other things, you’re seeing the devil sort of flex his muscles.
Well, one of the ways he would do it with us is emails or phone calls like that one……
So periodically, these moments are helpful, kind of teaching moments I can talk to you about the kinds of things we are dealing with. Here’s kind of an inspiring one though, from a member who wrote something that may benefit all of us, kind of an uplifting, interesting view.
“While listening to your sermon last Sabbath, June 10th, Part 78, you’re comments on fire provoked thought. I live in southern Arizona. [So I guess the brethren out there will know who I’m talking about.]
“Typically when people think of Arizona, they think desert, but not the area south of Tucson—[I know because my brother-in-law pastored it for two years.]—grasslands, cattle ranches, rocky terrain. We’ve had very little rain this year. It’s been very, very dry. We’ve had a VERY [all caps] high number of grassland fires. More than I can remember in any previous year. Some were (unintentionally) [It says in parentheses.] manmade, and some were the result of lightning.
“Many thousands of acres have been burned. Grazing for cattle, homes, barns [you know] destroyed. I don’t believe any lives have been lost. [That’s good.] As I drive past the recently blackened and ashy fields, I’m reminded how hot, intense and utterly destructive carbon combustion can be, and then just a few miles further down the road where there was a fire a few weeks ago, the grasses are pushing green shoots up through the scorched earth. Life is returning, and when we do get life-giving rain, the hills here will be as green here as they are in Ohio. Well, maybe not quite THAT green [All caps.] Fire purges the dead and the dross, life returns, water encourages growth. I so much more now appreciate biblical fire.”

There is no devil nor are there demons in reality. Schizophrenia is a brain dysfunction and mental illness. Dave has always seen demons in his world endeavoring to thwart him. It helps him skirt personal responsibility for his own dysfunctional and delusional thinking

Sounds like Pack is the one listening in on recorded conversations!

Sometimes Satan and his demons can be controlled with lithium and anti psychotics over which they have no power. It makes them sleepy and takes away their voice. Add one more electron to table salt and you have a formidable tool to combat the little bastards. Cannabis oil is also known to to stop quickly a teeth gritting convulsive seizure like demon on minutes. Otherwise they leave voluntarily in about 20 minutes if your patient

There was always this Armstrongish effort to attribute activities to demons when there was a much simpler, more logical, physical explanation available. Armstrongites almost universally believed that mental health issues were indicative of possession. Cancer, they accepted as having roots in a cellular disorder. Other disease, from imbalances due to malnutrition. The reason why they could not apply the same principles to mental illness is that demons serve their agenda and purposes more dramatically. Obviously this is what Pack is building towards in this.

David Pack is the antichrist and his "restored" church is a satanic cult.

Many NT accounts of "demon possession" would today be understood at epilepsy, schizophrenia or other mental disorders not understood in that day. Even the account of Paul's religious vision of Jesus on the Damascus road, told only by Luke in Acts and not getting exactly what he thought happened consistently believable, in his own multiple tellings , are classic symptoms of temporal lobe epilepsy. Bright lights, voices with religious content. Mental institutions are filled with such folk today.

The "demonic" among the tombs in the NT was clearly and simply mentally ill and who wouldn't be living in the cemetery

Ezekiel was clearly mentally ill by today's standards . Amos spent too much time in the hills alone with his sheep and Jeremiah was about as depressed a soul as one can be. The stresses of impending conquest by nations bigger and better than Israel could easily produce such stress and prophetic breakouts to ease the tension and tell everyone it was all going to be ok. Most of the time it wasn't ok for them however.

The only demons on earth are in the minds of the mentally ill for whom we should have compassion and not scorn or mislabeling. Ignorance today of mental health issues and pathologies fuels the foolishness wicked spirits.

Dave Pack has a particularly vivid imagination on this topic and has ever since I knew him as teenagers.

I used to wonder why more of the ministers, as so much became obvious regarding the Armstrong movement, did not obtain further education or retraining, entering other more honest and valid professions. This has become increasingly true and perplexing with with the passage of time, as conditions within the splinters have degenerated and become progressively more ridiculous and laughable.

Over the years, we've all cited the "stuck in the gravy train" explanation, meaning the regular paycheck and continuation of the perks. For most who have no other training, it would have been difficult to take the time and to make the effort to obtain the education necessary to maintain the lifestyle to which they and their families had become accustomed. It's easier to simply obtain new credentials, and continue with whomever will have you, teaching something with which you have familiarity and experience.

But, I was especially curious as to why someone like Dave Pack, who inherited a million dollar health food business giving him a ticket around that perplexing situation, would opt for continuing in the ministry. Stupendous ego had certainly crossed my mind as partial explanation, but I believe it runs deeper than that.

As it turns out, there is a very real phenomenon, and it is a mental thing as opposed to a spiritual thing. Dave may well have been confronted with this very thing while he owned and operated the health food business. When someone loses a long-term station in life, such as the ministry, a process called "identity foreclosure" comes into play. These guys, knowingly or not, have their entire identities tied up in being a minister, and not just any minister, but a minister of Armstrongism, "the truth". Without that element in their lives, most of them don't even know who or what they really are. Identity foreclosure. Sudden removal of the very thing which defines you. It is an unkind and even terrifying process in which one must rediscover oneself, and the value and place of one's self all over again, and this time, outside of the normal formative years when we are all more supple or flexible. Surely, we can understand how most would opt to continue as much as possible of what had defined them, even if that continuation is not 100% of what had existed before, and even if blinders are to some degree required. This is no longer simply the preservation of socio-economic status. At some point, the battle becomes for the survival of the anima, the psyche, what drives one, and one's reason for living.

By no means am I excusing those who have continued to teach some form of Armstrongism in spite of the spectacular failure of all of the prophecies, and in spite of the knowledge that certain of their extrabiblical theories are simply not possible, and that some of their historical resources are bogus and laughable. A day of reckoning with identity foreclosure would in certain ways constitute an annihilation of the only self that they know. But, with that would come rebirth and renewal!

The most fundamental and compulsive psychological need is the need to love and be loved and valued. We all need to be needed. For a lot of guys, their ministerial position enables fulfillment of that need.

However, if the LCG sheep start talking or studying grace or justification, they are exploring the doctrines of demons, cording to Doug, since grace and justification are very minor footnotes in the voluminous records of the LCG teachings. The biblical topics of grace and justification have led to the liberation of many former COGers. Winnail does not want the LCG sheep to learn anything new about grace or justification because if the people knew the truth, he would soon be out of a job."

Well, Amen to that, and for thoughts like you just expressed, Doug Winnail, and virtually all of the other xcog hirelings will not, cannot, preach the following words from the Apostle Paul:

"To wit, that God was in Christ, RECONCILING the world unto himself, NOT imputing their trespasses unto them..." 2 Corinthians 5:19

Doug Winnail, of another spirit, must preach, like all of the other xcog hirelings (e.g. United Ass., Living group, cogwa Ass., Philadelphia Inc., etc), another gospel and another Jesus. By those...by their fruits you/we know them!

Time will tell...

I was told that the prophecy series pack is preaching has now reached 90 parts. They are no longer making the transcripts available 2 the public. Probably because pack knows ppl outside the grasp of his mind control games can point out the utterly ridiculous statements he makes that obviously sounds like nonsense.

One member said, "Mr. Pack is continuing to correct things and make things clearer to understand".

In other words, I got it wrong 82 times let me try 8 more times. Till it makes sense in my own head. His ministers will tell you that at times his 2-hour sermons are just him thinking aloud and he doesn't really have prepared material other than a reference to WCG and historical events to prove how he fits in all of the prophecies and why it is him who will prepare the way for Jesus.
