Bob Thiel Releases First Set Of Youth Lessons

Humiliated that Grace Communion International refused his request to republish the Youth Lessons from days gone by, Bawana Bob has just released his first set of lessons:

  • Lesson 1: How to Recognize Proper Dreams of a Prophet
  • Lesson 2: Why Your Leader Needs a Double-Portion Anointing But Doesn't Need a Proper Ordination
  • Lesson 3: When Is It Time To Stop Shilling For Your Bible Daddy and Break Out On Your Own?
  • Lesson 4: The Plain Truth About Mayan Prophecy
  • Lesson 5: The Plain Truth About Catholic Prophecy
  • Lesson 6: How To Prophesy With Wiggle Room and Disclaim Your Failures
  • Lesson 7: Crooked Bookcases Are Not A Sign of Spiritual Crookedness
  • Lesson 8: Effeminacy Is A Blessing in a Football-Hating Philadelphian Overseer
  • Lesson 9: Why You Should Respect Unaccredited Graduate Degrees
  • Lesson 10: All Rod Meredith's Dead Friends Said I Was Much Better Than Rod
  • Lesson 11: I'm Predicted In Scripture Even More Than HWA or Dave Pack!
  • Lesson 12: It's Not the Gospel OF Bob Thiel; it's the Gospel ABOUT Bob Thiel

Bob Thiel is a classic example of how important it is to practice restraint if you desire success. Had he kept all of the points on this list to himself and stayed on task with his message, he would undoubtedly be further along in his ministry. Instead, he practically made these points his ministry, or at least the most visible part.

I wonder if Bob will ever get to the point where he feels he needs to publish an autobiography?

Hilarious! Thiel just sets himself up for this ridicule!

I have a question, or a test, about the "lessons" people learn as members of Thiel's group and the other ACOG groups.

Take a moment to think of a few people you know who have been in an ACOG for the last ten or twenty years. This may even be you and your family.

Now, ask yourself: How many people do you know who have become more Christlike during their time in an ACOG? How many have become more loving? How many have become more honest?

In my experience, time in an ACOG teaches members to be less honest when discussing their groups openly. Time in an ACOG also teaches members to be more judgmental and to withhold love even while pretending that the withholding is love.

If the ACOGs were teaching members how to be better people, people would be flocking to the ACOGs in order to reap the wonderful results. Instead, we find that when your loved ones join an ACOG, this usually means that they will become more and more cut off from ordinary standards of truth and love, as the cult's new standard takes over in their lives.

"Lesson 2: Why Your Leader Needs a Double-Portion Anointing But Doesn't Need a Proper Ordination"

What the hell is a "proper" ordination anyway. That's my question. As far as I can tell, there's no such thing as a legitimate ordination because either no one is qualified to perform them, or else everyone is.

"Lesson 6: How To Prophesy With Wiggle Room and Disclaim Your Failures"

Well, I'll be. Both Thiel and Malm have a youth lesson with the exact same title!

Like it or not, Lesson 2: Why Your Leader Needs a Double-Portion Anointing But Doesn't Need a Proper Ordination Lesson" is true of all the Apostle Come Lately types including Herbert Armstrong. No one ordained them Apostles. They just announced it.

"And yes brethren, I am an Apostle" crowed Dave Pack after beating his congregation down for hours with fairy tales about himself and his relationship to HWA who also just dreamed it up or accepted the title given him by others.

Read the whole ridiculous thing here: http://www.exitsupportnetwork.com/artcls/Pack.htm

Just think, in a parallel Universe, Bob Thiel did not have a cold, did not get anointed and was not doubly blessed and thus did not declare himself a prophet and/or Apostle. However, in this Universe, we're stuck with his foolish perspectives.

PS The Apostle Paul pretty much declared himself an Apostle without ordination but I spare you :) It's what you do when you want the job and others who know better don't cooperate with you.

Writing fresh material is hard. Just ask Doug Winnail, whose March 21, 2019 comments are an almost identical rehash of what he published on December 27, 2007 and March 12, 2009.

If Winnail can't even give his brethren 200 fresh words each week, or have the integrity to admit that a re-run is a rerun instead of taking the time to change a few small words to fool search engines, why should we expect more productivity from Thiel? Winnail took the time, this week, to review the 2009 item and delete exactly one comma. Why not run it as-is and save time, or take the time to write something fresh? It's just strange.

"It's just strange."

Old age and laziness is part of the reason. But the main reason is the policy of feeding the sheep diluted spiritual milk. This way the ministers feel that they can get the best positions in the kingdom, and keep the members dependent and compliant. This ensures that there are no 'runaways.' These runaways might even post on Banned, exposing the groups dirty laundry.
