COG Sex Therapist Slams Bob Thiel And Other COG's While Begging Church Members For Money

One of the main reasons so many of the splinter groups formed was to ensure money continued to flow into ministers pockets.  It was not so much about doctrine than it was about money.  Money still reigns supreme in all of the COG's today. But, not so much so for some of the small splinter personalty cults started by self-appointed men who imagine themselves as the sole voice of God to the church today.

The Chief Pharisee and self appointed sex-therapist to the Church of God is begging for money to keep his zealotry alive.  It is vitally important that the lives of his followers are just as miserable as his and thus he needs their money to do it. No other ministry on the face of the earth today is spreading the "truth" as he  imagines he is. Of course, like all of the other self-appointed fools running splinter groups today, the Pharisaical sex therapist is also revealing NEW knowledge to the church.  Since most of these upstart COG's do not acknowledge Jesus it is important to have constant new knowledge flowing forth.
On 8 July 2007 the first issue of TheShiningLight was published with an article explaining that a Middle East peace deal must be achieved just before the onset of the tribulation (1 Thess 5:3).   The article then explained that a regional war would be necessary to reset regional realities in order to establish the conditions far a Middle East peace agreement.
The purpose of TheShiningLight is to help relieve the present famine of the Word in the various COG organizations, to restore that which has been forgotten and to reveal new understandings as promised by God in Daniel 12 so as to turn as many as possible to a wholehearted enthusiastic zeal to learn, to believe and to live by every Word of God.  To accomplish this your prayers and financial support are urgently needed.
Like Bwana Bob Thiel, sex therapist Malm imagines that all of the COG's out there today are too stupid to understand the Bible and prophecy like he does.  Only Malm has the correct interpretation.  Only Malm is zealous! SHAME on all of the rest of you backsliding heathen Laodiceans!
Today, after twelve years of warnings including personal correspondence, UCG, LCG, COGWA, PCG and Bob Thiel still reject any zeal for God’s Holy Sabbath, the truth about the Holy Days and the Biblical Calendar; and they still teach the exact OPPOSITE of Holy Scripture in their prophetic presentations.
These organizations teach that the various Middle East Islamic nations will unite together to form the King of the South [with PCG saying that Iran will head that confederation] which is the precise opposite of the scriptures.  Why do they have no understanding of prophecy?  It is because they exalt their treasured false traditions above the Word of God in all of the above mentioned subjects!
The various COG's have no understanding of prophecy because they, like James Malm. have based their entire story upon the false prophecies of Herbert Armstrong, Waterhouse and other COG leaders.  Every single prophecy Armstrong, Waterhouse and others predicted in the Worldwide Church of God have all ultimately failed. Not one single thing has ever come true. Nor, will any of the lies of sex therapist James Malm!

Never forget that no man on earth today knows more about prophecy than our newly appointed COG sex therapist does.
None of these things are understood by the leaders in UCG, LCG, COGWA, PCG and Bob Thiel because they reject any zeal for God’s Holy Sabbath, the truth about the Holy Days and the Biblical Calendar; and they still teach the exact OPPOSITE of Holy Scripture in their prophetic presentations.
Also never forget that there is only one topic that Church of God members ever need to worry about, and that is Jesus.  Oh wait, sorry.  Jesus is not part of the picture. Something else is though:
Brethren prophecy is important but the most important thing is doctrine, doctrine, doctrine and a passionate zeal to exalt and to live by every Word of God above all else, including our own cherished false traditions!
Doctrine and zeal!

It is still amazing to witness the continued embarrassment COG upstarts have with Jesus, the things he accomplished and what he did.  Salvation still only comes through correct doctrine and zealousness and not from the grace and mercy of Jesus. That is just too inconvenient!

Morons!

"It is vitally important that the lives of his followers are just as miserable as his..."

Just THINK, brethren! A LITERAL ETERNITY of this kind of misery awaits, if only you'll set your sights on zealously and slavishly proving to the deity that you REALLY WANT to be this miserable NOW, during this ALL IMPORTANT testing phase!

You wouldn't want to miss out, now would you?

Perhaps Malm take Hebrews 6:1 too seriously?

“The basics of salvation are so simple that a little child can grasp them. But God has revealed much more for those who want to “go on to maturity” (Heb 6:1; RSV)” (Roy Gane, Altar Call, p.31).

Some basics:

Ps 62:12 ... O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
Ro 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

“The issue is not salvation by works but works as the irrefutable evidence of a person’s actual relationship with God” (Robert H. Mounce, The Book of Revelation, Revised, NICNT, p.376).

Hab 2:4b but the just shall live by his faith.
Ro 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

“Salvation is by faith, but faith is inevitably revealed by the works it produces” (ibid.,).

Lev 19:2 ... Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
“Man is expected to respond to God’s grace. But how? This is the role of the law. The law explains how men are to imitate God. The NT insists that the law is not a means to salvation, but a response to salvation. The disciple ... must be perfect as his heavenly Father is perfect (Matt 5:17-18)” (Gordon J. Wenham, The Book of Leviticus, NICOT, p.34).

Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

“The “milk” corresponds to the ABC of the divine oracles; some of the “first principles” of which the ABC consists are mentioned in 6:1f. Those who have not proceeded beyond this stage are still infants...

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

“The opening words of this section are surprising. Our author has just told his readers they are not really able to assimilate the solid food which he would like to give them - the teaching about the priestly order of Melchizedek - because they are immature. We might have expected him to say, as Paul says to the Corinthians in a similar situation: “Therefore I must continue to feed you milk.” But he does not say this; he says: “let us press on.” He judged that no good purpose would be served by going over the first principles again. That being so, we might have expected him to say: “You are not ready for solid food yet, you still need milk; nevertheless I am going to press on with the provision of solid food.” But he does not say “nevertheless”; he says “therefore.” “Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrines of Christ and press on to maturity”...

“So,” he says, “let us stop discussing the rudiments; do not let us start laying our foundation all over again.” The rudiments (“the elementary doctrines of Christ,” RSV) and the foundation are the same thing described in two different figures. Before he goes on, however, he lists some of the rudiments.... Six matters are listed, which fall naturally into three pairs: (a) “repentance from dead works goes closely with (b) “faith in God”; (c) “instructions about ablutions” (RSV) goes with (d) “laying on of hands”; while there is a patent association between (e) “resurrection of the dead” and (f) “eternal judgment.” But this connection between these six subjects is more complicated than that. On the most probable reading of the text, “teachings” in v.2 appears to be apposition to “foundation” in v.1"; this suggests that the laying of a “foundation” of repentance ... and faith” consists in instructions about (i) ablutions, (ii) laying on of hands, (iii) resurrection, and (iv) judgment...” (F.F. Bruce, The Epistle to the Hebrews, Revised, NICNT, pp.136 & 138).

Malm shot himself in the foot bigtime when it was revealed how Constance had been getting paid for her articles.

It continues to amaze me how infrequently the very name of Jesus invoked by any of these self-proclaimed prophets or organizations. Sabbath, Holy Days, prophecy in some cases, and of course the all important unprovable calendar is the focus of all. I am reminded of a scripture where Jesus told the Jews that they search the scriptures, (OT), thinking they have the words of eternal life, and yet those scriptures bear witness of Jesus Himself. That was what was really important. Just as they missed what was important back then, that seems to continue to be missed today. While emphasizing observance of days, calendars, and asking for more and more money to do these things, the sacrifice and promises of Jesus are pretty much ignored. Much time and effort goes into studying and "proving" various parts of the OT that fits one's 'doctrine' and it seems like that veil continues to be over the eyes of those who read and discuss "Moses" while ignoring the simplicity that is in Christ.

AND SO....

What if a group had no idea what "Bible Prophecy" will be or is??

It doesn't change a darn thing about how we are to live our every day lives, and showing love to others, family and self.

What will be , will be, and knowing or not knowing is frankly kind of irrelevant. A Christian should understand that God is ultimately in control and his will rules supreme.

For those who want to be on the "Center Stage" of God in this life, like Malm, or Thiel, Pack , Flurry or the rest, they need to wake up to their utterly impotent protestations of somehow having "control" or "influence" over what is inevitably preset destiny.

Since atheists deny the existence of "free will", even they must concede to the fact that much of life is us standing on the sidelines of large economic and sociological waves and cycles, that we have virtually no influence over.

The concept that "shouting to nobody" or "doing the work" that converts no one, and is virtually ignored and insignificant, and is accomplishing something that God "needs", is an Armstrong idea that is an excuse for being a worthless blowhard, and used to find suckers to hand over money to pay for it.

SHOW ME THE FRUIT!

Unfortunately, not much is to be found with this bunch of vain, mental cases.

The more things change, the more they stay the same....

I can remember when I was a kid listening to HWA at the FOT. As usual, HWA was reminiscing about the early days, bragging about how successful he was and how much money he made before the bottom fell out.

HWA boomed out to the congregation "I COULDN'T SELL ANYTHING!!! I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE 10 CENTS TO BUY GARNER TED MILK!". As he continued to speak, he mentioned that when he attended some of these tent revival meetings, people would donate their hard-end money.

The HWA business model.

I'm suspicious of this. Where was Loma? Why didn't she provide GTA's milk? If he was too old for her, he didn't actually NEED milk, and HWA is once again playing on emotions over facts.

According to his Autobiography, HWA was broke from 1920-1948 and his kids were often hungry. Even in his WCG such a person would be considered a ne'er-do-well or an "infidel" as he was not taking care of his household. It seems from his autobiography he had a couple of short stretches of making good deals here and there in his 20s, but then was washed up at 28 yo. Further, he says this tough period from 1920-1948 taught him not to be materialistic... This is just ridiculous considering his later life extravagance.

I can't believe I cared about their interpretation of prophecy. What was the point as Tonto alluded to? Was their purpose to "be proven that they would be right" about the prophecy? It isn't like we ever would have saved our skin by "knowing" these prophetic details beyond that of simply living as Christians. Fulfilled prophecy will and should only point to the Lord as we see how He fulfilled the prophecy. It is not for the purpose of a person to say they "were right". The COGs point to themselves at the expense of pointing to the Lord.

Haven't these people read Matthew 11:28-30?

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you more burdens. Take My yoke upon you and obey Me, for I am vengeful and hard of heart, and you will find more and more stuff to do to prove to Me that your souls are worthy of Me. For My yoke is an oppressive load of do's and don't's, and My burden will crush you like Korah if you dare to rebel against anyone who claims to be My minister.
