Feast of Tabernacles and Organic Gardening

The Church of God Chief Pharisee has gotten his legalistic tassels and knickers all in a twist over a Church of God International Feast site in Kentucky.

A quick scan of their Feast schedule has the normal sermons each day but before services and afterward, there are seminars on various topics.  The Chief Pharisee is outraged, OUTRAGED I SAY, that one of those- pre-service seminars, held on the Sabbath, was all about organic gardening.

One Feast site in Kentucky is presenting a Sabbath morning seminar on organic gardening, before the worship service.
How they justify that being a Sabbath topic…. ?!
Truly shocking! That demonstrates how far they have drifted away from God already. James

While I have absolutely zero interest in attending such meetings, it is refreshing to see that they are speaking on things that are outside the screeching done by James Malm and others demanding strict adherence to the law and no deviance from the established format that Herbert set down for Feast services. I would much rather listen to an interesting speaker on the sabbath talking about organic gardening than some belching law-keeper spitting and snarling that people are not being zealous enough.  A raw organic carrot outranks the law demands of a church crackpot prophet.

I was at the site in KY. What I witnessed was a YouTube video. Has Malm forgot that all God's Festivals are based upon agriculture? In the KOG the people will have land and grow their own food. Absolutely nothing wrong with this subject.

The seminars are about useful topics to enhance the life of the believer. One would think that a seminar on organic food growing would fall into that category, and is helpful to having a healthier and productive life.

The Bible is full of such topics, include clean and unclean foods, land rest, and more.

Malm needs to focus more on his own pitiful show, and quit looking around at others and arm chair quarterbacking every nit picky thing. He is such a jealous little turd!

And I agree as well. Good practical topic for those looking for a world based on more than what we see it based on today. Beats a Roundup Feast of Tabernacles.

Transcending Fear, Anxiety & Depression, huh!

My recommendation on this: SKIP THE WHOLE THING!

What the heck is wrong with Jimmy Malm?
He's off the rails once again.

Maybe Malm could give a seminar on just how many fingers a man should use up inside a woman's vagina.

He will never live that down-what a fraud.

CGI Feast in Kentucky was pretty much a CEM (Ron Dart),Feast. Some people there seemed like Evangelical COG members. Very different from what many are used to....

It's doubtful that brethren we talked to will go back. CGI are at least somewhat tolerant of differing beliefs (and aren't control freaks like several groups are today).

This Feast site is progressive where it counts and (IMHO) leading the way for sensible compromises at FOT sites.

The old dogmatic and draconian guard will need to grow. The days of "Dwight Armstrong only music, a sermonette, and an hour and a half long sermon" days are over. Time to grow in grace and knowledge.

You seem to bear false witness on this post. The list you posted was NOT the daily worship service list. These in no way are the sermon topics for services. The list you posted were only offerings for those who may be interested in those particular topics. There were also children, youth, family, senior, women and fellowship opportunities held throughout the Feast, of which the short seminars you listed made up just a part.
