Mentally Disturbed Zerubbabel Discusses "The Holy Penis"

This time it is not Bob Thiel, the first and only REAL Zerrubabel, but that OTHER Zerubbabel. The one who wanted to impregnate his daughter to produce a holy child. Now Zerub is on to a new topic.

Only in Armstrongism can you hear a self-appointed prophet talk about  "the head of his penis emerging."  Oh wait, I forgot, this is a normal topic Christians discuss and need to be worried about. But this is Armstrongism we were talking about, so that changes things.

PCg: Does God "call" people into the church?

As the Philadelphia Church of God membership roles continue to decrease, the PCg is trying to give the impression that people are flocking to join up with them and attend services.  They have a new article up for those who "want" to attend PCg services.  PCg does not draw in members of the public, and if they do it is usually 1 person from numerous campaigns.  However, it makes current PCg members feel encouraged that PCg apparently has numerous requests from people to join.  They never question the leadership in this matter, even though they see friends leaving the church and numbers shrinking week after week.

Like most of the other splinter cult leaders in Armstrongims, they like to trot out that they are a little flock."  It is not because people are not being called into them, but their numbers are small because of demonic doctrines that destroy families and members' lives with double blessed legalistic zealotry lives are driving people out.  God does not call people into the PCg or any of the other splinter personally cults out there today (particularly into Thielism, Malmism Packism and Flurryism.

Get a load of this crap:
The Church is a “little flock” (Luke 12:32), personally and carefully called by God the Father (John 6:44) in order to fulfill specific work in preparation for the time when He will carry out His plan of salvation for all mankind. Its members did not individually choose to join the Church; rather they responded favorably to being invited and set there by God.
No god out there has ever invited people to "join" Furry's cult.
The answer to the question, “Can I attend services with the Philadelphia Church of God?” depends on God’s purpose for you at this time.
Is God calling you into His Church? Many churches encourage people to visit and see if it “feels right” to them. They may even put on emotional pressure to make an altar call and “give your heart to Jesus.” A great many people have been drawn into commitments they didn’t truly understand based solely on feelings, which can be fickle, even deceptive.
The "commitments" they are supposedly being "drawn into" that they do not realize the significance of, are heretical man-made doctrines of a sick-minded group of men who demand that members do not seek medical attention and that they separate themselves from family members, spouses, children, grandchildren, and grandparents, because those people may no longer believe the heretical fake Sabbatarian crap of Flurry.
God’s calling is based on truth—and obedience to the truth—not on a feeling or a swell of emotion.
Obedience to the laws of a man and his cabal of abusive twisted ministers is NOT obedience to the truth.

Here is the requirement that potential PCg members MUST do before asking to attend services. The number one priority is to read Mystery of the Ages
Study the entirety of Mystery of the Ages along with your Bible, and you will gain a superb overview of the foundational doctrines of the Philadelphia Church of God. Ask yourself whether you believe God is working in your life. Is He opening your mind to understand the plain teachings of the Bible—even where those teachings may differ from what many churches preach?
The mere fact that potential income streams are required to read the quagmire of MOA's as their first requirement before opening their bibles to prove their desire to attend services, proves jus how sick they are.
If you believe He is calling you, you ought to take action. To look into this more deeply, definitely read “The Mystery of the Church” from Mystery of the Ages, if not the whole book. If you have done this study and want to speak with a Philadelphia Church of God minister
Nope!  MOA has to be the most boring book Herbert ever wrote.  It ranks right up there next to Tomorrow's World and The Incredible Human Potential.  This triumvirate of butt-numbing and incredibly boring books that have absolutely NOTHING to do with one's salvation.

Narcissists Ruin Everything: Part 2

Narcissists Ruin Everything: Part 2

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come; for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, curse their parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power."  -II Timothy 3:1-5

The following quotes are from Sam Vaknin's book, "Malignant Self Love". All of them come from pages 388-399 where he talks about narcissists in positions of power, and particularly, as religious leaders. As you will see, it reads like a biography on Herbert W. Armstrong and many others of his underling creations over the years. It is interesting to note that the context above in II Timothy is religious leaders.  I believe this describes the inevitable fruits of hierarchically structured religions.

I sprinkled in some commentary along the way. There are so many good quotes here that I'm sure they will trigger many thoughts, memories, examples, and experiences of your own. Please share them in the comments. [Narcissists need not apply!]

"Narcissists in Positions of Authority"

"Being in a position of authority secures the uninterrupted flow of Narcissistic Supply. Fed by the awe, fear, subordination, admiration, adoration, and obedience of his underlings, parish, students, or patients, the narcissist thrives in such circumstances. The narcissist aspires to acquire authority by any means available to him."

"As far as the narcissist is concerned, there is no moral dimension to abusing others-only a pragmatic one: will he be punished for doing so? The narcissist is atavistically  responsive to fear and lacks any in-depth understanding of what it is to be a human being."

"Narcissistic Leaders"

"The narcissistic leader fosters and encourages a personality cult with all the hallmarks of an institutional religion: priesthood, rites, rituals, temples, worship, catechism, mythology. The leader is this religion's ascetic saint. He monastically denies himself earthly pleasures (or so he claims) in order to be able to dedicate himself fully to his calling. The narcissistic leader is a monstrously inverted Jesus, sacrificing his life and denying himself so that his people-or humanity at large-should benefit. By surpassing and suppressing his humanity, the narcissistic leader becomes a distorted version of Nietzsche's 'Superman'."

Herb's autobiography is crafted with fabled years on end of suffering (not of his doing, of course) and supposed sacrifice for the "work" Jesus Christ supposedly 'cursed' him with. I'm sure he hoped it would satisfy people's concerns about his glamorous lifestyle; stealing from the poor, fearful and ignorant.

"In short: narcissistic leadership is about theatre, not about life. To enjoy the spectacle (and be subsumed by it) the leader demands the suspension of judgment, depersonalization, and de-realization."

Actors and performers in ancient times were the priests. The religious guru and propagandist was also the entertainer and bedazzler; the hypnotizer.

This resonates well with Wes White's post, "Kayfabe Gospel Preaching".

"Narcissistic leadership often poses as a rebellion against the 'old ways': against the hegemonic culture, the upper classes, the established religions, the superpowers, the corrupt order."

"The narcissistic leader prefers the sparkle and glamour of well-orchestrated illusions to the tedium and method of real accomplishments. His reign is all smoke and mirrors, devoid of substances, consisting of mere appearances and mass delusions. In the aftermath of his regime-the narcissistic leader having died, been deposed, or voted out of office-it all unravels. The tireless and constant prestidigitation ceases and the entire edifice crumbles. What looked like an economic miracles turns out to have been a fraud-laced bubble."

Robert Coulter points out as much in his history of COG7D, "The Journey". For all of HWA's slander of the church he stole many of his ideas from, that church remains with close to half a million members and absent of websites, established by ex-members, devoted to exposing the abusive nature of cult life. The money train sure chugged along for a season but just as Vaknin said, once the narcissist was dead, it all came crumbling down into a pile of ineffective nothing and left behind, a trail of wasted and broken lives.

"To the narcissist, things and people are either entirely bad (evil) or entirely good. 'You are either with me or against me' is a common refrain."

This mentality is still embedded in the splinter culture.

"The 'small people', the 'rank and file', the 'loyal soldiers' of the narcissist-his flock, his nation, his employees-they pay the price. The disillusionment and disenchantment are agonizing. The process of reconstruction, of rising from the ashes, of overcoming the trauma of having been deceived, exploited and manipulated-is drawn out. It is difficult to trust again, to have faith, to love, to be led, to collaborate. Feelings of shame and guilt engulf the erstwhile followers of the narcissist. This is his sole legacy: a massive Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder."

The internet is a blessing to humanity. It exposes evil and shows how it's not normal to have a ton of negative things about you in the public domain.

But I also find it repugnant how often people will come to blogs where people share their trauma in hopes of dealing with it better and find healing, only to be castigated by the kool-aid drinking sycophants still denying their own mental illness. Many of themselves, narcissists, as is evident by their cruel comments, superior attitude and tiring argumentative spirit.

The ultimate legacy of a religious narcissist like Herb and Dave are conversions to atheism by acts of cruelty and abuse. These conversions give the narcissist messiah his ultimate victory; vanquishing God and taking His place upon the throne of the universe. This isn't a knock on atheism, only an observance of what narcissists do to people of faith. It is one thing for an atheist to influence someone away from their faith by reason. I have no problem with that. Narcissists go as far as to use some tactics none short of Satanic ritual abuse.

"The Cult of the Narcissist"

"The narcissist is the guru at the center of a cult. Like other gurus, he demands complete obedience from his flock. He feels entitled to adulation and special treatment by his followers. He punishes the wayward and the straying lambs."

"The-often involuntary-members of the narcissist's mini-cult inhabit a twilight zone of his own construction. He imposes on them a shared psychosis, replete with persecutory delusions, 'enemies', mythical narratives, and apocalyptic scenarios if he is flouted."

This 'twilight zone' HWA masterfully concocted on radio and television was his main hook, rooted simply in fear and nothing else. It truly amazes me that after all these decades, there are still people arguing prophecy with any kind of Herbesque dire consequence. Give it a rest. Just the fact that prophecy is a religious narcissists' favorite tool in his box of tricks should be enough for anyone to steer clear of anyone coming at you dogmatically about future events and dates. Fixations on the future is what enables the narcissist to engulf others in his own twisted reality of urgency existing paradoxically in a cocoon of suspended animation.

"The narcissist is a micro-manager. He exerts control over the minutest details and behaviours. He punishes severely and abuses withholders of information and those who fail to conform to his wishes and goals."

"The narcissist does not respect the boundaries and privacy of his reluctant adherents. He ignores their wishes and treats them as objects or instruments of gratification."

"He strongly disapproves of others' personal autonomy and independence. Even innocuous activities, such as meeting a friend or visiting one's family require his permission."

The last few descriptions are strongly evident in PCG and RCG. I know personally, the demand Dave Pack puts on his slaves and the toll it takes. He is the vilest narcissist I have ever known in my life.

"His thinking is dogmatic, rigid and doctrinaire. He does not countenance free thought, pluralism, or free speech and doesn't brook criticism and disagreement."

Unfortunately, the sycophant managers left holding the bag after Herb didn't take everyone to Petra, still uphold the same dogmatic, rigid, free-thought crushing system. And, of course, they have to...their employment and retirement is at stake.

"He forces the participants in his cult to be hostile to critics, the authorities, institutions, his personal enemies, or the media-if they try to uncover his actions and reveal the truth. He closely monitors and censors information from the outside, exposing his captive audience only to selective data and analyses."

This is another policy that has carried over in the splinters. I have heard several sermons at feasts where ministers got up and brazenly told brethren to stay off the internet. They attempt to ridicule and bully the listeners with threats that they will become flat-earthers and moon-landing deniers if they don't obey. (Some of them do...but so what?) These portfolio managers don't care about brethren getting sucked into dumb ideas. Their only concern is that people start finding out the truth about their 'twilight zone'.

"The narcissist's cult is 'missionary' and 'imperialistic'. He is always on the lookout for new recruits."

"As the leader of his congregation, the narcissist feels entitled to special amenities and benefits not accorded the 'rank and file'. He expects to be waited on hand and foot, to make free use of everyone's money and dispose of their assets liberally, and to be cynically exempt from the rules that he himself established (if such violation is pleasurable or gainful)."

"In extreme cases, the narcissist feels above the law-any kind of law. This grandiose and haughty conviction leads to criminal acts, incestuous or polygamous relationships, and recurrent friction with the authorities. Hence the narcissist's panicky and sometimes violent reaction to 'dropouts' from his cult. There's a lot going on that the narcissist wants kept under wraps."

This explains why out of the hundreds of people that came and went in RCG, hardly a peep from any of them. You can be sure Pack is 'lawyered' up with signatures on the dotted line from every one of them. They don't dare speak out unless they want to end up like Don Tiger.

"The narcissist sees enemies and conspiracies everywhere. He often casts himself as the heroic victim (martyr) of dark and stupendous forces. In every deviation from his tenets, he espies malevolent and ominous subversion. He, therefore, is bent on disempowering his devotees. By any and all means."

The easiest way for a narcissist to keep his devotees disempowered is to lock them into the prison of hierarchy, tithing laws and prophecy obsession.

"The Professions of a Narcissist"

"The narcissist naturally gravitates towards those professions which guarantee the abundant and uninterrupted provision of Narcissistic Supply. He seeks to interact with people from a position of authority, advantage, or superiority. He thus elicits their automatic admiration, adulation, and affirmation-or, failing that, their fear and obedience. Several vocations meet these requirements: teaching, the priesthood, show business, corporate management, the medical professions, politics, and sports. It is safe to predict that narcissists would be over-represented in these occupations. This is a worrisome state of affairs. Narcissists are liars. They misrepresent their credentials, knowledge, talents, skills, and achievements."

Notice the very similar relationship between teacher, priest, actor, sports icon and politician. Narcissists will do whatever it takes to climb the corporate, educational, political or ecclesiastical ladder. Fortunately, some of them aren't very good at masking their narcissism and those around them impede them from reaching positions of power and control. This is what happened to Herb in COG7D. But Herb did do what many other narcissists have done when they fail to scale existing hierarchies...they create their own. Already in his 50's, he started a school for 18-year-olds to build his fiefdom. The perfect toadies. He already commanded respect with over 30 years their senior. He was their teacher, rabbi, and spiritual papa. The man was an idol unto himself who hand-picked his loyal underling priests that would do whatever he said. Period.

"Can Men of God Be Narcissists?"

"God is everything the narcissist ever wants to be: omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, admired, much discussed, and awe-inspiring. God is the narcissist's wet dream, his ultimate grandiose fantasy. But God comes handy in other ways as well."

I wonder if the 'wet dream' and 'handy' was intentional. Maybe this is what Herb's 'flog log' was really about.

"The narcissist alternately idealizes and devalues figures of authority. In the idealization phase, he strives to emulate them, he admires them (often ludicrously) and defends them. They cannot go wrong, or be wrong. The narcissist regards them as bigger than life, infallible, perfect, whole, and brilliant. But as the narcissist's unrealistic and inflated expectations are inevitably frustrated, he begins to devalue his former idols."

This is an apt description of Dave Pack and Bob Thiel.

"Now they are 'human' (to the narcissist, a derogatory term). They are small, fragile, error-prone, pusillanimous, mean, dumb, and mediocre. The narcissist goes through the same cycle in his relationship with God., the quintessential authority figure."

"But often, even when disillusionment and iconoclastic despair set in, the narcissist continues to pretend to love God and follow Him. The narcissist maintains this deception because of his continued proximity to God confers on him authority. Priests, leaders of the congregation, preachers, evangelists, cultists, politicians, intellectuals-all derive authority from their allegedly privileged relationship with God."

This reminds me of Simon Magus. Many claim to be following in the footsteps of Peter when their idol is Simon. This is largely why I am confident HWA was never converted in any way whatsoever at any time in his life. I think it is important to frame his 10 years of incest with what else was going on in his life. The first 5-7 years of incest were also his ordination years in COG7D. What kind of human being neglects his family, studying religion for a few years, only to conclude that God was calling him for a special purpose, forces ordination among peers who didn't like him, and promptly begins raping his own child?

"Religious authority allows the narcissist to indulge his sadistic urges and to exercise his misogynism freely and openly. Such a narcissist is likely to taunt and torment his followers, hector and chastise them, humiliate and berate them, abuse them spiritually, or even sexually. The narcissist whose source of authority is religion is looking for obedient and unquestioning slaves upon whom to exercise his capricious and wicked mastery. The narcissist transforms even the most innocuous and pure religious sentiments into a cultish ritual and a virulent hierarchy. He preys on the gullible. His flock becomes his hostages."

"Religious authority also secures the narcissist's Narcissistic Supply. His coreligionists, members of his congregation, his parish, his constituency, his audience are transformed into loyal and stable Sources of Narcissistic Supply. They obey his commands, heed his admonitions, follow his creed, admire his personality, applaud his personal traits, satisfy his needs (sometimes even his carnal desires), revere and idolize him."

I never saw or heard Herb until I was several years in the churches of God. Literature produced in the 90's drew me in. I don't know how many people would tell me how HWA would rant and rave like a lunatic and was very short-tempered and tell me this with pride as though it was an admirable trait.

"Moreover, being a part of an immanent 'bigger thing' is very gratifying narcissistically. Being a particle of God, being immersed in His grandeur, experiencing His power and blessings first hand, communing with Him are all Sources of unending Narcissistic Supply. The narcissist becomes God by observing His commandments, following His instructions, loving Him, obeying Him, succumbing to Him, merging with Him, communicating and communing with Him, or even by defying Him (the greater the narcissist's adversary-the more grandiosely important the narcissist feels).

I wouldn't be surprised if Dave Pack wasn't one step away from taking on God, himself.

Like everything else in the narcissist's life, he mutates God into a kind of inverted narcissist. God becomes his dominant Source of Supply. He forms a personal relationship with this overwhelming and overpowering entity in order to overwhelm and overpower others. He becomes God vicariously, by the proxy of his relationship with Him. He idealizes God, then devalues Him, then abuses Him. This is the classic narcissistic pattern and even God Himself cannot escape it."

Jesus was well aware of narcissists and psychopaths. He knew there were conniving liars who would play-act their ways into positions of power and control over others. He argued with them regularly, calling them vipers and white-washed tombs. Part 3 will be about His simple formula for protecting the church from narcissistic ghouls.

The Day That Never Comes

Born to push you around
Better just stay down
You pull away
He hits the flesh
You hit the ground

Mouths so full of lies
Tend to block your eyes
Just keep them closed
Keep praying
Just keep waiting

Waiting for the one
The day that never comes
When you stand up and feel the warmth
But the sunshine never comes, no
No, the sunshine never comes

Push you 'cross that line
Just stay down this time
Hide in yourself
Crawl in yourself
You'll have your time

God, I'll make them pay
Take it back one day
I'll end this day
I'll splatter color on this gray

Waiting for the one
The day that never comes
When you stand up and feel the warmth
But the sunshine never comes

Love is a four-letter word
And never spoken here
Love is a four-letter word
Here in this prison

I suffer this no longer
I'll put an end to this, I swear
This, I swear
The sun will shine
This, I swear
This, I swear
This, I swear

PCG: Flurry declares a fast to influence its "god" into giving them new facilities in Jerusalem

Several years ago, the Philadelphia Church of God had an office building in Jerusalem.  They touted it as necessary so they could have easy access to first-hand reports as the end times hit and the witnesses spoke for three days and then martyred in the streets of Jerusalem. Lil'Steveie and the PCG camera crew would be there to film it.

Then, Flurry's alcoholic damaged mind went into overdrive and declared that his god had revealed to him that he was the rightful owner of the Stone of Scone which is now located in Scotland.  He also made the declaration that he and his cult would soon be digging up Hill Tara in Ireland, where they would uncover the Ark of the Covenant that Jeremiah and his daughters buried while on a shopping trip there thousands of years ago.

In order to be closer to each of these two locations, the PCG sought to buy the old Bricket Wood campus. When they failed miserably to do so, the ended up buying Edstone where they started a British branch of its cult college.  In order to finance that and to give Stephen Flurry a  new home, they sold the Jerusalem office building and moved everything to Edstone.

Now, as the end times are immanently dawning over the horizon, Flurry deems it necessary to establish another office in Jerusalem.

Now that Flurry's new personal jet and the concert series have been draining the coffers of the church, the PCG is looking to influence its god into providing them a most excellent building at the least price possible.

The god of Armstrongism is a magical god who will bow to the intense pressure of 3,000 people fasting and voila! the new building will appear and Flurry will be happy.

Imagine you are a PCG member and have to drive for 5 - 6 hours to attend church services while your empty stomach is gurgling.

Flurry Asks For Church Wide Fast:
March 3, 2020
I was told by my father-in-law who is in contact with someone still inside the PCG that Gerald Flurry asked for a Church wide fast and prayer for a land deal in Israel to succeed. Apparently Flurry wants to buy some property near to Jerusalem to give the PCG a permanent foothold in the Holy Land. More requests for money are forthcoming as well as the incessant Spring Holy day guilt trip to be put on the membership. I still cringe when I think of those 3 1/2 hour Passover Services with Cal Culpepper glaring at you behind the pulpit.
Also, now all of the Kentucky PCG members have to drive anywhere from 5 to 6 hours round trip to get to the nearest congregation which is north of Cincinnati. I can only imagine wasting your entire Saturday driving hours to listen to a Sermon played on CD. So much for resting on God’s Sabbath. –B.

The Crazy Millennium Of Wade Cox

The Church of God has produced hundreds of weird and crazy splinter group leaders of its existence.  The estimates are between 400 - 700 different groups are out there preaching all kinds of heresies and utter nonsense.

And then there is Wade Cox.  Few splinter group leaders can compare to Cox. He claims the Muslims and the Koran are part of the true church.  His fantastical scenarios of the end times are also as loopy as he is.
Very soon the Wars of the End will come to a completion. We will see the Wars of the End Part I: Wars of Amalek (No. 141C) cause many of the world sinners to die in the bio-chemical War of the Fifth Trumpet and the thermonuclear War of the Sixth Trumpet.
Then God will intervene with the arrival of the Two Witnesses Enoch and Elijah as explained in Wars of the End Part II: 1260 Days of the Witnesses (No. 141D). They will deal first with the Jews and the Churches of God. They will especially stamp out Mystical Kabbalism from Judah and the Sardis and Laodicean systems of Ditheism (No. 076B) or Binitarianism or Trinitarianism (No. 076)(cf. above). They will also stamp out the Hillel false calendar of post temple Judaism. Anyone practicing these heresies will be struck dumb and inflicted with the plagues as a first warning and then killed if they do not repent.
When the Witnesses are killed by the Beast power and lie in the streets of Jerusalem for 3.5 days then Messiah and the Host will appear and they will be resurrected and taken to Christ and the entire First Resurrection will be translated and taken to Jerusalem to be with Christ to prepare for the millennial reign as explained in prophecy (Rev. Ch. 20). With Christ and the Host they will take over the earth and send the Fallen Host to Tartaros and then stamp out the military forces and apostate leadership of the world as explained in Wars of the End Part III: Armageddon and the Vials of the Wrath of God (No. 141E). The entire world will not accept Messiah except those of the elect who are called and chosen and faithful of the final Philadelphian system. The world will march against the Messiah as they opposed and killed the Witnesses (Wars of the End Part IIIB: War Against Christ (No. 141E_2)).
After many years of anticipation many of the Sardis system who have been deceived into believing Herbert Armstrong was Elijah? (No. 233) will refuse to accept the Witnesses. They will oppose the Witnesses and refuse to repent of their Ditheism, Binitarianism and Trinitarianism and refuse to reject Hillel and keep God’s Calendar (No. 156). They and their ministry will be given a chance to repent under the Witnesses. If they do not repent they will then be stricken with the plagues of Egypt and unless they repent they will be allowed to die or killed at the Return of the Messiah. If they repent they will miss the First Resurrection and will face the Tribulation but they stand a chance of living into the Millennium with the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who will also miss the First Resurrection due to their heresy, and the Adventists still alive who did not repent in time.
Then the Messiah and the Host will stamp out all false religion from Pseudo Christianity, Pseudo Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Animism and the Atheists to all other infidel systems (Wars of the End Part IV: End of False Religion (No. 141F)). There will be no person left alive who does not keep the Fourth and all other commandments (Ex, 20; Deut. 5; Surah 4:154). The entire planet will revert to the Food Laws (No. 015) of Leviticus ch. 11; Deuteronomy ch. 14; Surah. 3:093).
There will be no negotiation and no discussion. The world will do as it is told and obey God’s Laws (L1) or those people will die and be retaught in the Second Resurrection with the rest of the resurrected world after the Millennium.
Between now and the end of the Vials under Messiah the conflicts will not end and the majority of the world will die. That will be solely because they refuse to keep God’s Laws. One third will die under the Wars of the Trumpets and another quarter under the pestilence that follows. Then they will continue to die under the Witnesses and the wars of Messiah and the Vials. This will be taught by the servants of the demons as a good thing because the world is overcrowded.
Can you imagine entering into the millennium and finding out these crackpots are in charge?

Is Gerald Flurry Trying To Divert Attention Away From His Deliberate Plagiarism?

From a reader:

The gall of Gerald Flurry accusing a first-century saint of PLAGIARISM! In PCG's recent Royal Vision page 4 under the section JUDE'S PLAGIARISM he wrote:
"Just a few months after Peter wrote his second epistle, he was martyred. Then Jude wrote his book, which he practically plagiarized from 2 Peter 2. Jude simply emphasized what Peter wrote."
Following this flawed logic and stupid thinking, we can assume then that one of the three - Matthew, Mark, Luke - also plagiarized one another as their gospels are very similar.
We can see what he's obviously doing here. He's trying to minimize the negative effects of plagiarism and trying to normalize it in a way so that he can excuse what he himself is guilty of -- doing one over Jules Dervaes' work 'Letter to Laodicea.' This is his act of trying to alleviate his conscience then.
What a shameless accusation of Jude. He ought to be treated as a dissident himself as he hurls accusation against a member of the body. He is spreading distrust and disunity and therefore must be cut off as he had cut off others.

Should Christians Be Eating Lucky Charms?

In answering this important question, we must first address the fact that we are talking about “LUCKYCharms. Notice what Verse By Verse Ministry has to say about Christians employing the notion of luck: “From an earthly perspective, things may seem to happen at random, but throughout the whole of Scripture, it is clear God is in control of all His creation and is able to take the random acts of natural law, the free will of both good and evil people and the wicked intent of demons and combine them all to accomplish His good and perfect will (Genesis 50:20; Job chapters 1 and 42; John 9:1-7). Christians, specifically, are given the promise that God works all things, whether seemingly good or bad, together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).” They go on to “recommend a Christian not use the phrase ‘good luck.’”

The folks at Compelling Truth remind us that “The word "luck" does not appear in the Bible.” They go on to inform us that “Eastern religions in particular believe luck can be somewhat controlled by superstitious actions. Religious rites are performed (like rubbing the stomach of a Buddha statue or lighting incense) to induce supernatural powers to change the fortune of an adherent.” Continuing, they underscore the fact that “What the Bible categorically condemns is the use of superstition to gain the favor of God or any deity to bring fortunate results. Religious rites to draw luck from a pagan god are useless, as pagan gods don't exist and, therefore, can't act on behalf of anyone. And God so hates being manipulated by worship practices that He'd rather we abandon those traditions He put into place and worship Him from the heart than obey Him for the sole purpose of gaining favor (Amos 5:21-24).”

Hence, it should be clear that Christians should not be involved with anything that relies on the pagan notion of luck. Likewise, it should be noted that a typical box of Lucky Charms is literally full of little marshmallows that take the form of PAGAN symbols! We have hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, UNICORNS, rainbows and red balloons in each box of cereal. Do we, as Christians, really want to be eating these pagan symbols? Do we want to expose our young children to these symbols?

And let’s not forget that this cereal isn’t just tasty – it’s “magically delicious!” In fact, if we go to the cereal’s own website, we are told that consuming it could be “The Most Magical Part of the Day!” The manufacturer goes on to tell us: “All you need is some extra magic to start your day off right. And lucky for you: Lucky Charms marshmallow charms are pretty magical.”

What does the Bible have to say about magic and those who practice it? In the book of Acts, we read about a man named Simon “who had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria” (Acts 8:9). We are further informed that this Simon “saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands,” and that he offered them money to share their power with him! (Acts 8:18-19) Peter, however, rebuked the man and told him to repent of his sin! (Acts 8:20-21) We are also reminded of the fact that Moses had to face Pharaoh’s sorcerers and magicians in fulfilling his God-given commission to free the Israelites (see Exodus 7). In fact, sorcerers and magicians are portrayed throughout the Bible as being antithetical to God and His religion. Indeed, we are told twice in the book of Revelation that they will have no part in God’s Kingdom! (Revelation 21:8 and 22:15)

It should also be noted that the cereal is promoted by a leprechaun! Indeed, an image of the magical creature adorns the very box that contains the cereal! LIVESCIENCE informs us that “Leprechauns are a type of fairy, though it's important to note that the fairies of Irish folklore were not cute Disneyfied pixies; they could be lustful, nasty, capricious creatures whose magic might delight you one day and kill you the next if you displeased them.”  Do you want your children exposed to such pagan rubbish?

Remember, God’s Word tells us “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2) Remember too, that God instructed the Israelites: “When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.” (Deuteronomy 18:9) And, finally, Christ reminded his followers about something that Isaiah had said about the people of his day: “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:8-9)

Do we want to satisfy the lust of our eyes and bellies or follow the will of God? Do we want to pollute our temples with a highly sugared cereal (one 36 gram serving contains 30 grams of carbohydrates, most of which is sugar!) or do we want to eat healthy foods without any taint of paganism? For TRUE Christians, the answers to these questions should be obvious. Christians should NOT be eating Lucky Charms!

The Fastest Growing COG In Africa?

It is not who you think it is.  We have heard for several years now that Almost-arrested Elijah, Elisha, improperly blessed, and dreamy Bob Thiel, declare that his improperly named "continuing" Church of 'god" was the fastest-growing Church of God in the history of the true church. With most of his "new" members coming from other Sabbatarian groups that church hop from one money stream to another, he claims more African members than any other group.  Most of us know that is one of his many lies that rank up there with his double-blessing and dreams.

To shatter that myth along comes Wade Cox, that other professional liar, who send just sent  Bob Thiel whimpering to the corner like the sad little splinter cult leader he is.

Cox, leader of the so-called "Christian" Churches of God makes the claim that his group has more members in Africa than the old Worldwide Church of God ever had as members.  Of course, we should not forget that Cox has lied previously that half of the entire African continent were members of his cult. Cox claims he has 300,000 members, though he also says that his cult does not officially count members. This also includes many Muslims and most Sabbatarian groups in Africa.

Poor Bob Thiel.  Nothing this little guy does is ever enough. Every time he turns around some other COG has outsmarted him.

Though the question needs to be asked, has the Church of God ever had a church leader who has not been a liar?

Did Satan Send The Coronavirus To Stop COG Members From Going To The Feast?

Word has been spreading through the COG that Satan has been masterfully at work again. He has such a deep hatred for the COG that he will use any means possible in order to stop COG leaders and members from attending church, holy days and the Feast of Tabernacles. The coronavirus just may be that means.

Various countries and municipalities that are major destinations for tourists and large groups are now banning large gatherings of people. Tourism to countries like Italy and China have dropped dramatically as has air travel domestically and internationally.

COG members are worried that they will not be able to go to their favorite destinations.

All of this is egged on by various COG prophets of doom as a sure sign of the end times. With the locusts in Africa right now and the coronavirus spreading around the world, the doom prophets of the church are wetting their pants that their prophecies are coming true.

Keeping COG members immobilized with fear is the only way these foolish men have in keeping their members under control and the money stream uninterrupted.

Wes White on "Kayfabe Gospel Preaching"

I’ve watched professional wrestling for as long I can remember.  Yeah, it’s fake, but it’s still fun.

The older I got, the more I understood what wrestling was all about.  I learned that, in professional wrestling, there’s this thing called Kayfabe.   Kayfabe has a fascinating history that goes back to the county fair carnival days of the 1800s.

Wrestling Kayfabe started around the 1920s.  Wrestling Kayfabe began as the secret code of silence between the wrestlers and the referees.  And these guys made a vow to never reveal the secrets of wrestling’s not being legitimate sport.

Today, wrestling Kayfabe has all changed.  Starting around 1986, the wrestling alliances admitted that their matches are NOT genuine sporting competitions.  Today, they acknowledge that professional wrestling is all staged.  Pre-determined.  Entertainment and not sport.
Right now, Kayfabe is an agreement between the audience and the wrestlers -- where both the wrestlers and the audience  all acknowledge that it’s fake.  And they all agree to pretend that it’s real.

Now, why would both the performers and the audience come to this agreement?  I mean, in any agreement, you always ask, “What does everybody get out of the arrangement?”

First, the wrestlers get paid.

Second, the guy who owns the wrestling organization makes profit.
And what about number three?  What does the audience get?  Well, the audience gets to be entertained.

When a person pays money to watch a wrestling match, it’s a catharsis for that person.  It’s similar to when you go see a movie.

When you go see a motion picture, you suspend disbelief.  Yes, while you’re sitting in the theater eating your popcorn, you’re suspending your disbelief and simply enjoying yourself.

This exact same thing goes on in professional wrestling.  People are willing to spend money so they can sit there, suspend their disbelief, and enjoy the show.

That’s the entertainment world.  Movies and wrestling.  Now, let’s talk about the religious world.

The Sabbath-keeping COGs have a similar relationship with their audience.  We call their audience the membership.   And everybody involved in this arrangement gets something out of it.

First, the ministers get paid.

Second, the organizations take in money.

And third, the brethren suspend disbelief by pretending that their church is really doing the work of God.  That’s what the brethren get out of this relationship.  The pretense that their church is preaching the Gospel and feeding the flock.

I know this statement is offensive to some but, just like the wrestling fan who suspends disbelief as he sees these performers smashing each other with fake punches, members of the COGs suspend disbelief as they hear their leaders talk about how they’re preaching the Gospel.

And I say that they’re suspending disbelief because they’re NOT preaching the Gospel.  Too many times, they’re only accomplishment is sheep stealing.

The most recent example of this is the UCG/COGWA Reno NV sheep-stealing debacle.  (See the February 9, 2020 “Banned...” article on the subject.)

Since the 1970s (starting with the Ambassador Review), people have been calling for reform in the Armstrong COGs.  If reform is really going to happen, the first step has to be the removal of all the doctrines that HWA added to the teachings he learned from CG7.  HWA added crap doctrines like headline theology, setting dates, racism, three-tithe system, church eras, end-time apostleship, top-down government, one-true church, marking/disfellowshipping, anti-science, etc.

As long as current COGs refuse to reject Armstrongism from their belief systems, they are stuck with a Kayfabe Religion.  It’s all fake.
