Rod Meredith Says: The Pope is Resigning, the Gays are Marrying, and Here is Your Special Offering Envelope

Always one to take advantage of a news event, Rod Meredith sent out a letter on Valentines Day to fill the Church coffers with more money.  This Valentines Day letter included an envelope for members to send in their "tithe of the tithe."

This "tithe" has to be one of the Church of God's most deceitful money making tactics it ever used.  Poor members who scrapped and went without in order to raise money for the Feast and other Church Holy Days had to tithe on the tithe that they had already saved.  This money was sent in to keep the ministry afloat with trips and travel and secondarily to help pay rent for rented meeting halls.  It went to ministers who did not have to tithe and did not save second tithe.  The COG has routinely given large amounts of tithe money to ministers so they can travel around the world on Feast Days. These amounts can be from $5-10,000.00 a shot.  All the while the poor church member who double tithed were lucky to be able to afford a Motel 6.

This ploy of sending in "tithe of the tithe" money obviously did not work because Meredith had send out a letter a week later calling a church wide fast for February 23rd. Another letter followed  a few days later. The church is suffering financially because the membership is still not sending in money as they are expected

Perhaps it is time that the leadership in Charlotte got off their high horses and lofty pedestals and got on their knees in front of their congregations and asked for forgiveness for the sins they have committed against the membership.  Perhaps it is time for these men to humble themselves before their God and truly become servants of men and women and actually serve the membership without any expectation of receiving money or accolades.  Perhaps then we will truly see who the real shepherds are in the Church of God.  Just think what an example this would be for the spiritually raped and devastated members in Philadelphia and Restored Church of God.  They would leave those dead churches so fast Meredith’s head would spin.

Imagine a grace filled life where you did not have to worry about what  some Pope does or the gay couple down the street.  Imagine not have to live in fear for our salvation from one day to the next because some evangelist is constantly trying to scare the crap out of you.

One can only dream………

February 14, 2013

Dear Brethren,

Greetings from Charlotte, NC! With the resignation of Pope Benedict, prophetic events will
probably move forward faster than ever! The "Arab Spring" has brought about a new situation in North Africa and the Middle East to prepare the way for the "King of the South" (Daniel 11 :40). The financial and political upheavals in Europe will soon begin to prepare the way for the coming Beast Power to arise. In America, Maryland has just become the eighth state to approve same-sex "marriage"! Additionally, more and more parts of our society- including the professing Christian ministry-are ignoring or even approving homosexual practices and other perverted behaviors which are anathema to God Almighty! The end of this present age is certainly drawing closer-and we can be encouraged as we see these things occur. For, indeed, it does need to get "darkest just before the dawn."

The Eternal God has said He would have a Church preaching His Truth to the very end. We in the Living Church of God-a vital part of the "little flock" (Luke 12:32) which Christ talked about-are having an increasing impact on the world through preaching God's message with increasing power over television, our publications, and now the Internet. The world desperately needs the message that we can give in a special way. We are doing the Work with "all of our hearts" as most of you know. So please carefully consider any way that you can "go above and beyond" in helping out Christ's Work at this time. As the Holy Days approach, we have the opportunity to show honor and worship to the great God we serve in the Holy Day offerings which He commands.

As we have mentioned before, March is normally the first month when we begin to contribute the tithe of our second tithe. This-tithe is used-to help defray the common expenses in-conducting the annual Holy Days. As the Spring Holy Days approach, we use this tithe of the tithe to rent halls to meet in and to send ministers out from Headquarters. If you are able to send in a tithe of your second tithe to help with these festival expenses, it will be greatly appreciated!

May the God who gives us life and breath lead you ever closer to Him. May all of us do our part with zeal in preparing for the coming Kingdom of God and giving our lives to the Creator as Jesus Christ gave His life for us at this very time of year.

With Christian love,

Roderick C. Meredith

Which is More Evil: Disney and Harry Potter or National Geographic and Rotary International?

According to Apostle Malm the answer is ALL of the above!  In the eyes the self righteous holier-than-thou modern day Pharisee who is incapable of keeping all of the law, it is easy to accuse others of being evil.

Disney’s Fantasia, the Sorcerers Apprentice etc are designed to make the most appalling evil as appealing and attractive as possible.  Harry Potter is the same, while National Geographic is designed to use the most beautiful photography to push evolution.  Society is filled with such deception, seeking to make evil appear as attractive and good.

The apostle has been on a rant lately about the Rotary Club International.  According to the apostle it is a evil satanic organization that is an arm of the Masonic Lodge.  What brought this tirade on was Victor Kubik's latest UCG editorial telling about his attendance at a Rotary meeting and how the local businesses were eager to talk to him about UCG.  Church members have been involved in Rotary International  for well over 40 years now.  Not once has any of them been subjected to Masonic rituals.

The apostle continues claims that COG members who are part of Rotary and who do good works are partaking of Satanic values.

Satan always presents himself as an angel of light and goodness, in order to deceive.
We are to keep ourselves away from such worldliness and become wise in godly things.
Jas 1:27   Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. [We are not to be entangled in this world's evils.
Romans 16:19. . . .    but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

The Masonic movement is responsible for much of the evil in this world, which evil and rebellion against God, they hide behind so called "Good Works" organizations.  By being a part of that, you are helping the great evil of the Mystery Religion and its rebellion against God.

It has always been easy for COG members and leaders to label anyone outside the group as 'the other,' 'the evil ones,' 'the reprobates,' or 'the ungodly.'  They did this while being a part of an organization that was rotten to the core.  A church that sadly destroyed marriages, divided families can caused countless deaths.

A reader on Malm's blog responded with this:

There is paganism all around us. There are pagan symbols on the dollar bill. If we are of the faith, and strong, then it is all “meat before idols”. Such things cannot harm us. Certainly we do not worship in a pagan fashion, or deify paganism. However, none of us , in his faith, are somehow sullied or diminished by a symbol. Symbols do not make us “unclean”. We do not endorse the symbols, we do not embrace the symbols, but we certainly should praise and feel free to associate with fellow human beings that are practicing good works, when they are found, and cooperate with such if it is beneficial and aiding in the alleviation of suffering. This is what the Rotary does. This does not mean that we are compromising with the truths of God, that we hold dear, when we do so.

Why are Church of God members scared of everything they come across?  Living a life of constant fear is exhausting.  It's no wonder all the COG's are hurting for members and money.

The Church of God thinks its public face to the world is one of truth and light and then along comes another COG idiot like apostle Malm who makes complete fools of the entire Church!

Another Letter From Rod Meredith: "Please God! Look at Us Suffering In This Fast! Please Hear Us!"

Rod Meredith has written three letters in the last few days referring to the church wide fast on February 23. The fast was called specifically for God to intervene in political issues at LCG HQ, for certain health issues, and for the drop in income that caused LCG to loose its Canadian broadcast stations.  It was to be done to wake  LCG up from its complacency and repent.

Meredith is back today with a third letter.  This one is unique in it's hypocrisy concerning the original reasons that he called he fast for and how he has twisted it around to say that LCG is not trying to force God to intervene in their situation but rather to humble the LCG into realizing they are weak and in need of guidance.

Part of the problem with his letter is that he quotes the scripture about not fasting to show off or draw attention to themselves.  What then exactly was the point of calling a fast to begin with?  It was to call attention to the Church in the eyes of the members.  It also was to let the members know that there were serious issues in Charlotte that they did not know about.  But worse, it was to let the membership know that they were partially to blame-as usual.  If the membership had been more faithful they would be sending in more money.  More money would have kept the Canadian TV stations.  The membership is also grumbling about Meredith grooming his son to take over.  This is also causing serious issues in the membership.

Pray, fast and repent.  Cry out in lamentation, mourn and weep!

When exactly have we seen Rod Meredith cry in lamentation, mourn and weep for the things he has done to destroy the lives of COG members over the decades?  Could it be that the issues happening in the Living Church of God right now started right at the top and the top is not holding its self accountable?

"Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up" (vv. 9–10). Brethren, that is God’s promise to us! We must humble ourselves, and must not let down in the matter of prayer and fasting!"

Note: Underlining is from the person who sent this to me to point out the hypocrisy.

By Prayer and Fasting...

By Roderick C. Meredith | Saturday, February 23, 2013

Scripture tells us what our Savior did to acquire spiritual strength, in connection with the devil’s attack on Him: "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted [or tried] by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry" (Matthew 4:1–2). Notice—He fasted!

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught His disciples to give generously from the heart, and to pray to God continually. Notice that He said, "Moreover, when you fast…" (Matthew 6:16). He did not say "if" you fast; He took it for granted that His disciples would fast. Christ said, "when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward" (ibid.). In other words, the hypocrites’ reward is whatever praise they receive from other people for showing off their fasting.

We Christians are not to punish ourselves, thinking that this will force God to hear our prayers. God is not interested in penance. That is just as if you or I would take whips and beat each other’s backs, saying, "Look at our suffering, God, so hear us." The idea behind our fasting is quite different from that. We seek the invisible God. We fast to humble ourselves—to make ourselves realize how weak we are, and that we are little children, saying, in effect: "Father, we are up against a great army, and there are great forces around us. We don’t always know what we should do, and we need your help. We need guidance. And we need deliverance. Please help us draw near to You."

Prayer and fasting go together. There was a time when the prophet Daniel really, desperately wanted to know what would happen in the future: "Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes" (Daniel 9:3). Prayer always goes along with fasting.

Daniel went on: "And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, ’O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned…’" (vv. 4–5). Notice he did not say, "Oh, we’ve been good, and we’ve done no wrong, and You don’t have any right to punish us."

Rather, he told God he was sorry, and that "we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments…. Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face" (vv. 5, 7).

Notice the result of Daniel’s prayerful fast. An archangel came to him and told him: "At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved" (v. 23). Why was Daniel so greatly loved? Because he humbled himself sincerely before God.

Prayer and fasting are at the center of a true Christian’s life! To learn more about that life, read our article, What Is True Christianity?, or our free booklet, Your Ultimate Destiny! As you draw closer to God through prayer and fasting, you will come to know Him far more than you ever imagined possible!

Yet, as we fast, we need to remember James’ caution, "do you think that the Scripture says in vain, ’The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously’?
But He gives more grace [grace greater than the lust of the human spirit]. Therefore He says: ’God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble’" (James 4:5–6). This is a vital point. Then: "Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up" (vv. 9–10). Brethren, that is God’s promise to us! We must humble ourselves, and must not let down in the matter of prayer and fasting!"
