PCG Declares That The Bible Authorized By Gay King James Is 99% Accurate And Should Be Used By All Members

In its continuing quest to control every single aspect of its members lives, the Philadelphia Church of God has come out and declared that the King James 1611 version of the Bible is the authorized one to used because Herbert Armstrong said it was 99% accurate.

How dare any PCG members read the Message Bible or buy a Duck Commander Bible!

Herbert Armstrong would never have approved of any of these Bibles and neither does PCG.  Apparently PCG members are not qualified to find their own favorite Bible and read it just for themselves.  Big Daddy has to be tell them what to do in this area also.

The late Herbert W. Armstrong recommended we use the King James Version, translated in 1611. That is not to say it is a perfect translation. No translation is. The King James, however, is approximately 99 percent accurate. The small percentage of error in this translation is primarily due to the lack of understanding of the original meaning of certain Hebrew and Greek words by the translators—not because of faulty manuscripts, as we have proven.

Mr. Armstrong recommended that you use other translations only to complement your King James. The kjv was written over 400 years ago. Over that span of time, the English language has changed somewhat. Some of the awkward and archaic phrases in the King James can be cleared up by checking a few modern translations. Mr. Armstrong often used the Revised Standard Version and Moffatt translation. But he was quick to advise not using these more modern translations as your main study Bible. It is the King James Version that should be the standard by which these new translations are judged for accuracy. If you find a new translation saying something quite different from the King James, more than likely the King James is right. The ideal method of personal Bible study should be with the King James as your primary study Bible, along with one or two other translations for quick reference.

Then Stephen Flurry condescendingly tells PCG members how to read all the "thee's, thou's, ye's, goest's."

So, we’ve recommended the King James Version of the Bible to you. But perhaps that is one of the hardest to understand—purely because of the ancient wording that it uses. Here is a simple guide that should help you in making sense of some of those old words.

PCG conveniently ignores much of the information out there about the translators for the King James Bible.

Were King James Translators Inspired?

Gerald Flurry: All Revelation Comes Through Me Because I Am Of The House Of David!

I find it interesting that Gerald Flurry's life is so incredibly boring that he has to continually use Herbert Armstrong to prop himself up in the eyes of his gullible members. Without HWA being used in some way shape or form next to his name, Flurry is a meaningless little man.  The only thing noteworthy that he can truly own is his humiliating public arrest for drunkenness.

In spite of all that, God is only using Flurry in this modern age to get his message across.  God apparently could not find anyone brighter than Flurry. Talk about a weak impotent god!

Everything Flurry does is an imitation of Herbert Armstrong.
I had a similar experience to what Mr. Armstrong had in tracing my genealogy back to King David. My aunt gave me what she and others had done to compile our family genealogy. It cost me $50 just to copy the typed material. There was one significant difference between my genealogy and Mr. Armstrong’s. My genealogy was traced back to the royal family of Ireland. The genealogy of the royal family of Ireland is one single dynasty, which also carries “every generation back to King David.”

So I can say what Mr. Armstrong said, “Therefore God has preserved my ancestry every generation from David, and I am of the house of David!”

All of God’s new revelation for His end-time Church has come through Mr. Armstrong and me. God’s Work has been done through supporters of that revelation.

The world shivers and quakes at the magnificence Gerald Flurry tries to present!  NOT!

PCG On How Ministers And Members Should Revere Their Church Headquarters

The silly idolatry of the Philadelphia Church of God extends further than HWA Auditorium and his dirty old prayer rock.  It now extends in revering the headquarters of the PCG, especially when Jesus Christ has called a conference to take place.

4) It develops even more of a headquarters mentality.

In Ezekiel: The End-Time Prophet, Mr. Flurry wrote: “Think for a moment of the flip side of this picture: The Laodiceans turned away as if this was a casual religion or a game. How could God possibly use those people at headquarters? ‘So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth’(Revelation 3:16). God is sickened by their treachery!
When a minister or member of the PCG starts losing their focus upon Edmond as the seat of the Almighty GOD then they are dooming their souls to the lake of fire!   Not focusing upon Edmond is the most DANGEROUS thing a PCG can do.  Really?

Ministers and members in far-flung areas must keep their headquarters focus. Losing that focus is their biggest danger. Christ leads His Church, which is His prerogative as the Head of the Church.
PCG members must be constantly reminded that from Edmond the mill stone wielding law abusers can lay down the law.  Families can a be destroyed, marriages ruined and children kicked out of homes all because HQ says to.   They are under government and that is the most important thing that PCG holds as vital to ones salvation.  They cannot talk about Jesus but can preach sermons, write books and articles and make films about government.

“Can we clearly see how having a headquarters mentality today leads right into being part of the headquarters temple in the World Tomorrow? Everyone on Earth will be looking to the place Christ is ruling from. This vision goes beyond Jerusalem in the Millennium—it goes out to new Jerusalem, out into the universe and on and on forever! It all revolves around the First Commandment. All people must first look to God—which means having no other gods and no other government! We can’t experiment with another government. Once we understand this basic truth, God can do so much with us.”

A strong headquarters focus is vital.
Jesus be damned, government be glorified.
