PCG Terminating Employees While Elite Party

We live in an amazing time to witness firsthand the implosion of so many COG groups. All imploding because of their own mistakes and excesses. None of them are suffering because of the world persecuting them for what they preach, but at the hands of their own leaders and elite. They have used and abused members for so many decades that people are leaving. Yet, in spite of their self-made worlds collapsing around them, the elite leadership continues to wallow in excesses and wasteful spending instead of really preaching some kind of a gospel.

Today, we have the Philadelphia Church of God experiencing this. While the children of the elite leaders in Edmond, OK are traipsing around the country with their "Dance of David" road show, Celtic Throne II. After all, when David danced naked, he was doing Irish dance! Although the PCG takes the Bible literally, they don't take it that literally. Like everywhere in the COG movement, the elite get to pick and choose what they want to follow.

Exit and Support Network has this up:

PCG Announces Layoffs:
May 9, 2025
While the PCG is gearing up to send Amy Flurry’s dance crew around the world on tithe payers’ dimes, the PCG had to announce some layoffs. To what extent, I’m not sure yet, but in all my 30 years in the PCG I have never heard them have to make such an announcement. Normally negative news such as that would be kept on the down low. Sounds like they are having a tough time growing! –[name withheld]

  1. This article's headline makes no sense. PCG employees ARE the PCG elite. Also, the AI image doesn't acknowledge Flurry's daughter and daughter-in-law as elites who are more influential than most of the men in PCG.

    1. Agree, I'd say it's the same standard for all COG HQ employees. Non elites not employed.

  2. PCG terminating employees……how sad too bad never mind……………
A cancerous organisation. This is the ‘Good News’ of the year.
May many more be terminated. That means numbers are down as is income.
But I don’t doubt there is enough for Gerry’s Jet and his Irish dance company……………

  3. As income drops from their members retiring and dying off from old age, all the ACOGs are being forced to shrink. They need to ask themselves why God hasn't been adding to their numbers.

  4. No chocolate bunny rabbits for PCG members! What will they do when the roast beef is gone?

  5. Some ministers have indeed been laid off. I knew one of the laid off ministers; he was originally from Pennsylvania with 3 other siblings and he did everything with all his might. There is definitely trouble in Flurryland when they are releasing one of the good guys, at least he was before Flurry got a hold of him. He was everywhere doing the physical labor jobs from photos i saw of the construction going on in their Oklahoma compound. Anyway, they release a good loyal minister who got his hands dirty and keep the arrogant inferiors. PCG has done great damage to this man’s siblings and parents. And, now apparently casting him aside. I pray that God blesses him and his family and that he and they see how wrong PCG has been.

  6. What do the leaders call members such as the gentleman you described?

    Marks.

Quickest way that I know of being exploited, and the leaders won't miss a minute of sleep! There's a huge body count, and the bodies all fit pretty much the same profile.

    1. It's hard to believe someone can try to do all the right things and then get pulled into Flurry's group. I suppose the hook was easy for diligent people...those other groups are doing it wrong, join us and do it right. MAybe before he is too old, he will reach out to the friends he separated himself from over 30 years ago.

  7. PCG, LCG, RCG, and others seem to spend lots of effort recruiting members only to turn around and make it a sport to see how many they can disfellowship. Each time they do this they lose a tithe-paying, offering-paying member. With no new blood coming into the organization outside the dwindling remnant of Armstrongists it is inevitably they will fall into bankruptcy.

  8. cult dance, Satan can sure hop skip and make members , believe something that is not true. Happy to be out of this association of fruit cakes . It's all a outward show, pay pray and fast money , and more money. God will crush all those churches soon. Very Wicked system. All the Groups are the same . At least Catholics don't Sin the Sin of Money.

    1. 3:25AM You gotta be kidding right re “At least Catholics don't Sin the Sin of Money”?! I mean the Catholic “church” has been built over the last 2 millennia on Mammon!

  9. They don't mind disfellowshipping a few members on a regular basis since it terrorises the remaining members into blind obedience. It's part of their business model. They figure it pays in the long run to throw some members under the bus. The We-Throw-Members-Under-The-Bus Church of God.

  10. Does this make the Abominable Snowman (Flurry. Get it?) the Terminator? I mean, he's got a
pattern of taking on new titles, right???

  11. I'm currently watching The Righteous Gemstones on Crave and there are so many similar themes with Armstrong and Flurry in it. Why do all these churches feel the need to get into stage performances and dances? Sexualizing their young teens on stage and profiteering off of them. Its so sad.

    1. Bob is a regular reader here and checks us out several times a day. As much as he despises us, we titillate him to no end. He copies all kinds of stuff off of here and posts it, many times without letting his few followers know he is doing so. It is hilarious.

    2. Yowza! You mean we here serve as the authentic reference site for Armstrongism, and not the Kitchens who have amassed a huge library?

    3. 1.52 PM. I've noticed that other groups copy material from this site as well. They sometimes quickly disagree to a comment on Banned without acknowledging the source.

  12. The very purpose of Satan's Philadelphia Church of Fraud cult was to attract former followers of Herbert W. Armstrong by using his name and photograph so that they could be cruelly misused and abused and then driven out in the most satanic way. Satan wanted to waste people's time, energy, and money in this life, then expel them in God's name, and hopefully destroy them for all eternity.

Satan's Satanic Imposter Cult has been a smashing “success” in its own little way for the past 35 years.
