Exposing the underbelly of Armstrongism in all of its wacky glory! Nothing you read here is made up. What you read here is the up to date face of Herbert W Armstrong's legacy. It's the gritty and dirty behind the scenes look at Armstrongism as you have never seen it before!
With all the new crazy self-appointed Chief Overseers, Apostles, Prophets, Pharisees, legalists, and outright liars leading various Churches of God today, it is important to hold these agents of deception accountable.
Herbert Armstrong's Tangled Web of Corrupt Leaders
We all know what he’s getting at: pious deceptions to trick people into his religion. But biblically he’s not wrong. Solomon, like he said, Rahab (and the spies as well), the midwives in Egypt. Then on the flipside you have Job, who beat God at His own game (IMO).
Sort of a long these lines of lying for religiosity, I took the lyrics of the old Pam Tillis song, “Cleopatra, Queen of Denial,” and annotated them with factors from Armstrongism — how we would, and some still do, deceive themselves, and deny what that cult is really all about.
Fruit of the corrupt tree, Dave! I'd deceive a predator to save someone's life, or to protect someone from the ministers, but you really don't want to lie to prospective members as part of your evangelistic efforts to spread the gospel, because that makes you the predator!
I don't hold much hope for Dave Pack. I think he's pretty much had his lunch. God said it was not OK to be a false prophet way back in Deuteronomy, when the prophets roamed with the dinosaurs!
There is an untruth for the good of others that is also putting your own neck at risk; Rahab did this. Those that lied to the Nazis about whether they knew where hidden jews were did this. It's not the first area I would go to when extolling truthfulness, but it is a part of the equation.

Just noticed the side had indeed posted my “Cleopatra” annotation: https://armstrongismlibrary.blogspot.com/2025/08/queen-of-denial.html?m=1
ReplyDeleteWell, Dave is a liar and he has his own personal campus. I guess he is blessed. But what God (god?) is blessing him?

The prophets roamed with dinosaurs? Or the prophets are dinosaurs?
ReplyDeleteLiars abound in 2025! Problem for liars is they always end up believing their own lies, whilst all those around them see through the lying.
