Did you forget your green offering envelope for the Feast? How about a green shirt instead?
Know what these mean? It meant back in the day that if you had road trouble on the way back from Squaw Valley, you'd see all the brethren pass you by, and some potato farmer from Bakersfield would end up helping you out instead of a B.I.C.
Heh, I was driving around in a town a few years back and suddenly noticed some verry familar bumper stickers. I think it turned out to be an LCG feast site.
Do they have those special armbands for men working in the various Feast departments? There's the story of that year at Jekyll Island when the men had black armbands with letter codes, and the Security Service armbands had a regrettable little acronym (but probably accurate enough).
Ok. I was waiting for "Hooker Guy" to comment about the chicks in the T-Shirt picture, but he's probably in Alaska for the feast where he won't be tempted.
Jerusalem, only place God ever placed His name. Temporary dwellings do not equal hotel rooms. The gospel isn’t a way of “spend ten percent on self” Ritzy vacations are not commanded in scripture. The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking. If we need any evidence of how specific God’s law was to be followed, look at Uzzah. Study what Jereboams sin was… hint, he moved the location of the feast and changed the time of it.
re dna analysis as proof against brit-isrl theory:
I am Bulgarian though I'll try not to be too biased
First, let me mention that me and my GF ( also Bulgarian) did a few DNA tests. Her results were pretty much always 50% Slavic, 50% greek, mine 60-70% greek, and around 30% Slavic.
Was I greek then?
My family comes from the Bulgarian region of Thrace ( South Bulgaria ), all my family is from there. A DNA test cannot show your nationality simply because a nationality doesn't have only one genetic markup, it's way more complicated than this. In the area, where my family comes from, lived: thracians, romans, greeks, bulgars, slavs, jews, armenians, roma, romanians, turks etc.
Every nationality has a few genetic markups and predominant genes, it's not black and white. Bulgarians from the south usually show more so-called "greek-medditarenian" genes and from the north predominantly Slavic which kinda makes sense because the Balkan mountain functioned as a natural shield. A similar story is the population of modern Greece. North Greece shows quite high Slavic genes even in families without any Slavic origin as the south shows higher South Italian. DNA tests are trying to simplify incredibly complicated subjects and make it somehow fun which is impossible.
There are different kinds of tests. There are in any event other sources of good information including biblical that all refute the BI fantasy, showing it to be a silly invention of recent centuries. Anyone waiting for an Armstrong prophecy to be fulfilled using BI theory will be waiting until they die.
I remember the "Usher" armbands the SuperUshers would wear at St. Petersburg Florida back in the day. Also remember the parking attendants that would get off on wildly motioning their flashlights directions attendees.
Suppose it gave them a job to do which they thought was important. Making meals for attendees was a big deal too. Sermons morning and afternoon, Note taking. It was all really important at the time. .
If they only had a caption on the rear of the shirt that read "Help Save the Planet" everyone would assume these people were climate activists! I remember a time not long ago when GTA did promote environmentalism both on the broadcast snd in the magazines.
708 Environmentalism is a good thing but that's not what this phony climate change agenda is about. Those who caused the problem are the one's who want to be in charge to correct it. It's a total power grab.
Whether it be global pandemics, global wars, or global climate issues, global problems demand global solutions administered by a global government. The Bible tells us this is coming!
Only in the mind of Herb does 3 = 7....Dt 16:16 = 7 holy day offerings...oh wait...that's in the minds of many...
ReplyDeleteDo they have little bumper stickers as well?

DeleteYou can still get stickers through a link at Feastgoer.org. (And other Feast swag. And no, I'm not the one selling them.)
DeleteGreen was for the plebs, red for the handicapped and orange for the elite ass kissers
ReplyDeleteRegardless of the colours, the look like typical cult worship attire.

ReplyDeleteI forgot all about those feast bumper stickers lol.
ReplyDeleteRemember, you can't be a grump at the Feast of Tabernacles!
ReplyDeleteOk. I was waiting for "Hooker Guy" to comment about the chicks in the T-Shirt picture, but he's probably in Alaska for the feast where he won't be tempted.
ReplyDeleteBoo hoo you don't like Tabernacles. We know already!
ReplyDelete10:13 I’m sure the OT author had hotels in mind when they wrote about cutting down palm fronds and making temporary dwellings (tabernacles).
DeleteBoo who? All the groups that selectively omit that part?
Good thing there’s a tithe of a tithe. Make sure to pay that on your way out!
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the people greeted Him by waving palm fronds. They didn't wave hotel rooms.
DeleteWho's in hotel rooms ? Giving the game away. The games people play. You get some to humiliate themselves but others know your game.
DeleteTithe of a tithe is not scriptural.
DeleteTithing on money is not scriptural.
DeleteCan man change the Law?

Ritzy? Ritzy vacations ? Have you seen the actual places the myriad of churches go for Tabernacles? Depends on an individuals definition of 'ritzy'.
