God's most favorite self-appointed crackpot prophet, Bob Thiel, has once again detected the unmistakable scent of the Last Days in a weather report. Europe had a hot summer. California is hot because an El Niño is forming. Therefore, the Fourth Angel is warming up his bowl; then that nasty scoffer website Banned by HWA fulfilled 2 Peter 3, and anyone who points out that weather still happens is walking according to their own lusts.
This is the same raving lunatic who has been announcing the beginning of sorrows since at least 2009. Every flood, every drought, every slightly-above-average August is further confirmation that he, and he alone, is reading the fine print on God's climate policy. When Banned by HWA dares to note that heatwaves also occurred in 2003, 2019, and pretty much every year someone needed a headline, Bob clutches his leather-bound Bible and cries "scoffers!" as if Peter wrote that chapter specifically about a blog that makes fun of him.
Let's apply a little New Covenant thinking, since Crackpot Bob still quotes Deuteronomy 28 like the ink is still wet and the audience is still ancient Israel. Under the Old Covenant, God threatened bronze skies and iron earth if the people didn't keep the statutes. Under the New Covenant, Jesus said the Father "sends rain on the just and the unjust." Weather is no longer a divine performance review for whether you kept the Feast of Tabernacles or avoided pork. It is weather. Sometimes it is El Niño. Sometimes it is climate change. Sometimes it is just July and August. None of these require a 14-minute video titled "Prophetic Scoffers and Earthquakes" in which Crackpot Bob reminds everyone that he was mocked. Oh, the humanity!!!!!!!!!
Crackpot Bob's actual grievance is never the theology. It is that Banned keeps noticing when he does the same routine: take a real event, bolt it onto Mark 13:8, declare it a warning from God, then act wounded when people laugh. The laughter is the persecution. The blog post is the fulfillment of prophecy. The fact that his predictions have the same broken track record as his spiritual daddy, Rod Meredith, is never mentioned. Longsuffering, you see. The Lord is not slack. He's just waiting for Bob to finish another article about how hot it is.
The pattern is now so reliable you could set your air conditioner by it:
- Something meteorological occurs.
- Bob posts scriptures + old Worldwide Church of God quotes + a reminder that he called it in 2009.
- Banned by HWA says, in so many words, "weather exists."
- Bob writes 2,000 words about scoffers in the last days and how they willfully forget the Flood.
- Repeat next heatwave.
At no point does it occur to him that a prophet who needs a new "I was mocked" post every summer might not be the watchman on the wall so much as the guy who keeps yelling "fire" every time the oven preheats.
The world is hot. Crackpot Bob is hotter. And the only thing melting faster than the glaciers is his composure whenever someone refuses to treat his weather commentary as inspired.
Poor Bobby boy. There are plenty of records showing climate disasters and calamities down through the ages. There is nothing new here. None of the Armstrong movement foresaw forecast, sorry prophesied, the fall of the USSR, the gulf wars, the invasion of Afghanistan, Venezuela, the present Iran war, the October 7th disaster for Israel, the open hostility of the west including Britain Australia Canada and Europe to Israel ( the real one lol), the disintegration of the wwcog into countless ‘churches’ etc etc etc…..and so on……..Bob you are a distraction from the gospel and the saving redemptive work of Jesus Christ…remember Him? I believe that it is already too late for mankind to do anything about climate change because it has advanced to the point where the varous factors are feeding upon each other like an uncontrollable nuclear chain reaction. That began several years back when permafrost began melting, releasing incredible amounts of stored carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere.
DeleteOnce grand rivers, such as the Colorado and Danube are drying up. One or two wet seasons will not reverse this. The two great reservoirs on the Colorado, Lake Mead and Lake Powell required twenty years of regular snow pack to fill them, following the building of their respective dams, and they may reach dead pool status by the end if this year. The remains of an entire town which had been flooded by the creation of Lake Mead have reappeared and now have become a tourist attraction for hikers, The water ends miles away from it.
I just don't dwell on this because you don't make any friends discussing it, and I certainly don't use it to sell an oddball religion or to manipulate people into modifying their behavior or paying me tithes. The brave die but once, but cowards die a thousand times. I'll be out of here sooner rather that later. My kids have lived pretty good lives, but it will really affect my grand kids some time in their lives.
It's a thing, it's happening, and there is no use arguing over it when everyone is going to realize that just as soon as their morning coffee is no longer available as it affects the narrow, exclusive, climate band in which coffee grows. For now, I'm savorimg a nice strong cup of Columbian, with raw sugar from the Antilles, and some good old American Half and Half. What can a poor boy do 'cept to play in a rock n roll band? And speaking of that, even the Stones will be gone soon! Sad, because their music made our lives so much more enjoyable, kind of countering the Armstrongs' $hit.

While I have not been following him closely, I suspect that Bob Thiel would have said something like “could be,” “might be,” “possibly,” etc. Bob Thiel is not as confident in his wrong guesses as David Pack is in his wrong guesses. Or, maybe Bob Thiel is simply much wiser than David Pack and always leaves himself a way out.
Anyway, the REAL beginning of sorrows starts as soon as you begin to listen to any of the numerous false prophets (Gerald Flurry, David Pack, Ronald Weinland, Robert Thiel, etc.) on the so-called Church of God scene.
You will end up being really, really, really SORRY that you ever wasted any of your time listening to any of them. You will be even sorrier if you have ever sent any of them any money. The greater the amount of money you have sent them, the greater the sorrow. It is a serious sin against God, against the people that you have helped them lie to, and against yourself.
What gets me about Bob and the other splinters is that they don't truly give new information. Their public relations stance is that they do, but even reading the occasional book or good YouTube video shows this to be false. This mental burka must be by design to keep their members dumbed down.

There's many bible scriptures about seeking wisdom, understanding, and not forgetting Proverbs 25:2 "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings (including members)."
