Imagine what it would be like if everyone was expected to put up with every spiritual retard who thought that he was a prophet these days! Now the only problem the barely Living Church members have to worry about is Roderick Meredith's own numerous “doctrinal upgrades.” Well, that plus all the wolves inside and outside the LCG waiting to tear everyone to pieces while trying to get at their wallets after Roderick Meredith dies. It is unfortunate that RCM was such a bad character. It is also unfortunate that what will happen after he dies will be even worse.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226103369043606765.post-31893767852204421642016-01-14T05:49:53.441-08:002016-01-14T05:49:53.441-08:00Bob's way of logic and reasoning seems to go l...Bob's way of logic and reasoning seems to go like this:

I was told I might be a prophet
The Bible has prophets
I like the Bible
Therefore I am a prophet

I have dreams
The Bible has dreamers
God speaks to dreamers
My dreams must be Biblical and God speaks to me

I had a cold
The Bible says to get anointed
I was given a double portion of Biblical cold medicine
Prophets without colds got double portions
My cold went away so I must be a prophetDennisCDiehlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10417850852638492246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226103369043606765.post-25876730308104112552016-01-13T08:37:51.479-08:002016-01-13T08:37:51.479-08:00After reading again about Thiel's craziness, I...After reading again about Thiel's craziness, I think I need a double dose too! Psalm 65:2

God does not always get anointings done the way people think they should be (Genesis 27:25-37; 2 Kings 9:

Therefore my anointing was a real answer to prayer and God's intervention."

My question is:

I what way is this kind of reasoning fundamentally different from delusions and psychosis with religious content or otherwise mentally ill patient explaining how God speaks to him with his counselor or psychiatrist?

"Patients with delusions – and especially those with religious delusions – tended also to be more religious than those. And this is where their real problems begin.

For one thing, despite being more religious, patients with religious delusions actually engage in fewer group religious activities and receive less support from their religious communities than do patients with non-religious delusions. That’s presumably because their religious communities find these religious delusions particularly disturbing.

These patients also are more likely to find that their religion brings them into conflict with psychiatrists and others who are trying to provide mental health support. In fact, one in four of them have come to believe that their religion does not allow them to take antipsychotic medication."

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/epiphenom/2010/08/why-psychotic-patients-with-religious.html

It is interesting that those with religious delusions tend toward avoiding other church activities and organizations because of the disturbances they cause in them and they are not welcomed well and prefer to be alone and in charge so as not to have to address the problem personally and live in denial of it. Sounds familiar in the "And yes brethren, I am an Apostle" approach of those who have started their own slivers in the COGs.

It is a fact that delusional minds with religious content and narcissists rise to the "top" because they possess the traits necessary to eliminate all others

DennisCDiehlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10417850852638492246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226103369043606765.post-46680211202035144532016-01-13T05:49:53.464-08:002016-01-13T05:49:53.464-08:00I like how Theil wants to discredit RCM in every w...I like how Theil wants to discredit RCM in every way EXCEPT that RCM said he might be a profit. A God that has to "try" needs a course in communication.

Those who trust in the dreams of others, or their own, as being genuine and true communication from another realm get what they deserve for being so foolish in their thinking. It's also an attempt to claim specialness undeserved and unearned in search of a false credibility.

Bob, Dave and Gerry are the Larry, Moe and Curly of theologyDennisCDiehlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10417850852638492246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226103369043606765.post-60121676751941601372016-01-12T23:11:20.072-08:002016-01-12T23:11:20.072-08:00When is this guy going to just shut up and disappe...When is this guy going to just shut up and disappear?
