United Church of God Takes "gospel" To Times Square

A UCG member sent me this:

Vik Kubik is literally twitterpated on Twitter right now over the recent ad by UCG that appeared in Times Square.  It is the miracle of the century as God opened a door for the world to learn about UCG.  It all stemmed from a press release that UCG sent out that it was about to celebrate the coming kingdom of God, October 5-12."

God is an amazing door opener that will cause hundreds of thousands to see this ad and join the one true church.  What magical miraculous times we live in!  Never has any COG had such publicity!

Is he finally realizing that all of the words he has been speaking actually avoids the deep thinking and reality of what it means to really follow Jesus instead of Moses?

Feast of Tabernacles 2017: A Foretaste of Millennial Bliss or A Present Reality of Disharmony?

It is that time of year again as Church of God members pack their bags, load their cars up for road trips or hop on planes to go to exotic locations somewhere in the world. Children are pulled out of school with various wild excuses as to why they will be leaving for 8-10 days just a few weeks after school has started in August or September. Friends and family member will be excited to meet together and share adventures.  Hunger pangs will set in for new foods or gatherings in favorite restaurants.  Many members who struggle financially will go into debt in order to live up to God's high standard that they deserve the best hotels, food, and alcohol.  Ministers will be delighted to be staying in the finest resort rooms available, for free in many cases, and having daily access to the free food and alcohol in the ministerial dining rooms.  Thousands will be spent on extravagant gift baskets for top ministers, evangelists, and Festival Coordinators because they have sacrificed sooooooo much over the past year.

It is all so heartwarming and millennial, as God has placed his name on hundreds of different locations around the world with hundreds of different COG's preaching hundreds of different messages by men who claim they are the direct channel for God's word.

But just how millennial is it?  Some COG's will try and book Feast sites in areas that other COG's have traditionally used for years, all as a way of usurping them and hoping to be able to draw in a few of their members who are loyal to certain destinations.

Some cities, resorts, or convention destinations will have several COG's meeting in the same city, often within blocks of each other, and in some cases in the exact same location, but in different rooms.

In many of these locations, COG members will be told that under no circumstance should they associate with the Laodiceans down the hall or road.  God is only in one location and he is NOT with them!

Take a look at Branson, Missouri.  United Church of God, Church of God a Worldwide Association, Intercontinental Church of God, Church of God in Truth and the International Congregation of Yahweh will all be meeting there.  Uncomfortable moments are sure to be felt when going out to dinner, or a stage show, or at the local go-cart racing facility as different COG's all happen to meet up.  Warm greetings will pour out and then awkward silence will quickly develop as they realize that they were told to not fellowship with apostate unbelievers who are not part of their only true church.

Then there is Myrtle Beach with Church of God Big Sandy, Intercontinental Church of God and Church of God International meeting in the same city.  This is sure to be awkward with all three groups having ties to Garner Ted Armstrong.

Granted there are many COG members who ignore the admonitions of their ministers and Feast site coordinators to not fellowship with Laodicean former members.  They will still see family and friends in other groups as some plan their Feast sites in order to do so.

Many others will skip several services in order to enjoy their location attractions unencumbered by other church members for a few hours out of the day.  Others show up the first day and make their presence known and then disappear till the last day when they reemerge acting as if this was the best eight days of sermons they have never heard.

Here it is 2017, decades into the future of a time when Petra should have been over and the Kingdom of God already established.  Apostles, prophets and leading evangelists are dead.  The church has imploded into hundreds and hundreds of splinter groups who all claim exclusive inside tracks to the kingdom.  Families have been ripped apart and marriages shattered.  Thousands of church youth have left the church of their parents.  Former friends ignore each other.  Grandparents refuse to see their grandchildren who are in the same city they are in for the Feast.  Millions of dollars pour into the church coffers of the various COG's, and yet they dig into their member's pockets with one money grubbing sermon after another, or worse yet, pit Feast site against Feast site to who can give the most money.  People will travel to Feast sites with sick children or they themselves will be sick.  They go because they are commanded.  They will spread the sickness to many others leading to possible health department violations, as has happened in the past.

Yes, it is 2017 and none of the Churches of God can coexist together in a foretaste of the heavenly Kingdom of God and yet they all believe they will soon be heading to Petra where they and they alone will be protected by their god during the tribulation.

For decades the church taught that we would make the desert bloom like a rose as we worked for 3 1/2 years in the place of final training. Future Kings and priests would be trained to rule cities and worlds.  We would be taught how to unify and bring peace to a remnant of civilization who had just survived the nuclear war.  Church members would live in harmony as the Spirit of God trained us and hovered over us protecting us from the evils going on outside the Petra mountains.

It all sounds slightly wonderful and heartwarming.  But, given how almost all of the Church of God's in 2017 will not work together, gather together, or even believe the same things, can you imagine what a hell hole Petra will be!

When all of the various COG's leaders show up at the same place who is going to be the one true unifier?  Almost ordained Bob Thiel?  Vik Kubik? Mark Armstrong?  Ron Weinland?  Gerald Weston? Gerald Flurry? James Malm and his Wiccan sidekick Constance?  What an appalling mess it will be!  Why would any COG member sit there and watch this appalling mess as they realize they have 3 1/2 more years of this utter shitfest before them?

Does this really sound like a foretaste of the Kingdom of God?

All Laodicean Church of God's Are Going Into Tribulation Because They Don't Follow Me

God has been really busy or completely forgetful over the past 30 some years as countless Church of God prophets have claimed his complete and exclusive blessing over their prophethood status. The problem all Church of God members have is knowing who God actually has appointed and who have self-appointed themselves.

For 8 decades, the Church of God has been plagued with one self-appointed prophet after another.  Many of them would show up in Pasadena with documents proving their sainthood. Others would show up in robes and picket signs declaring their superior knowledge. Almost all of these were just "regular" Church members who claimed to receive some kind of enlightenment. That all changed with the death of Herbert Armstrong. Without HWA in power, this opened wide the door for one mentally disturbed man after another to came forth. Even a few women made it into the fray this time around.

Nothing compares though to the number of men who have claimed prophethood over the last 15 years or so with the likes sof Bob Thiel, Dave Pack, James Malm, Alton Billingsley, Gerald Flurry and others. Each one of these men self-appointed themselves to their positions.  God was not a part of their appointments no matter how much they lie and create mindboggling scenarios.

Each one of these men believes they have the exclusive hot-line to their god who speaks to them daily with one revelation after another.  That is what Almost-ordained Bob Thiel believes.  His god has hand-delivered, through telepathy, the exclusive inside track for the end times.  Those that do not believe Almost-arrested Thiel are going to be in for a huge shock.

Almost-ordained Elijah Thiel claims that he and he alone knows what exactly will be happening as the tribulation swiftly approaches and that those in all the other COG's will be heading directly into the tribulation because they are ignorant of the signs of the end times.  Of course and as usual, Almost-ordained Thiel claims his group is the ONLY Philadelphian Church of God out there in COGlet land and that ALL the others are deceived and Laodicean.

Many fail to realize that the Bible teaches that Jesus will protect ONLY the Philadelphians from the ‘hour of trial’ (Revelation 3:7-10; 12:14-16), the rest of the Christians will go through the Great Tribulation and Day of The Lord (Revelation 12:17), and the place the Philadelphians are protected is in the wilderness (Revelation 12:14-16). Heaven is not a wilderness and Christians are not going to be there during the Great Tribulation as the rapturists teach.

Yet, because they have teachings against certain biblically revealed prophetic matters, those in the Sardis and Laodicean Church of God groups will not possibly known when to flee prior to the start of the Great Tribulation unless they repent according to what Jesus taught about them (Revelation 3:1-6, 14-22). Thus, most saints will be left behind. But you, if you are willing to believe what the Bible teaches and live accordingly, do not have to be left behind yourself.

There you go, follow Almost-arrested Thiel and you will NOT be left behind!

Dave Pack: Don't Focus Upon Jesus, He Is Not The Gospel

Dave Pack has a personal letter to the world on his most superfantabulous website, Good News - Just Ahead!

In a world of nonstop crises, uncertainty, fear—and ever-worsening bad news—people long for good news. I do have good news—in fact, the very best news you could ever hear! No one is telling you about it, nor could you discover it on your own.

Oh yes, only Dave has the inside track on what his god thinks. No man on this entire earth has this knowledge, not even Bob Thiel and James Malm!  Bummer!

The truth of the gospel—God’s astonishing purpose for man—has been withheld from the world. It explains why you were born. The real gospel involves incredible knowledge that will leave you dumbfounded. This amazing understanding has been revealed—along with the cover-up to suppress it.

Professor Dingleberry fails to realize that the gospel he claims to know so much about has not been suppressed and withheld from the world. Why is it that the god of Armstrongism has been such an epic failure? A weak, impotent god that could never keep its message out in the world?  

We are dumbfounded, but not at the message being lost, as the gospel never has been lost, but we are dumbfounded at the sheer stupidity of Dave!

This is why Dave and so many of the COG's are so incredibly uncomfortable with Jesus:

The message—the centerpiece—of the gospel is not Christ. By focusing on Him—the Messenger—religious deceivers have been able to successfully suppress and cover up the message He brought!

This is why Bob Thiel, Gerald Flurry, Gerald Weston, James Malm and his Wiccan sidekick Constance prefer to prostitute themselves to the law. They do not know the Jesus Christ they claim to follow. Bowing down at the stones of Moses is more important than realizing the complete rest they have in the Jesus Christ they deny. All of the religious fervor, zeal and bullshit rules they promote are worthless dung.

Jesus, at His First Coming, came as a first-century newscaster, bringing advance good news of staggering events to occur just beyond the horizon, and all the bad news occurring throughout today’s world. This climactic news involves you—and eventually every human being on Earth. 

Six new books on religion are published every day in America, and there are over 2,000 separate religions in the United States. Yet there has never been more confusion and disagreement about the answers to humanity’s problems! Troubles, woes, evils and human difficulties of every kind are multiplying. World peace is more elusive than ever. Why?

Never has the Church of God been in such confusion and disagreement with somewhere between 500 - 700 different splinter groups that have come into being since the 1930's. Every single one of them believes that they and they alone have the correct message. They cannot even unite on their theological stances, let alone their common bond.  Peace in the Church of God has never been more elusive!

The Jesus Christ that Pack claims to follow certainly was an important dude, but not the "gospel."

Certainly, Christ plays an extremely important and central role to Christianity, but He is not the gospel. The Bible shows that Jesus is preached in conjunction with the gospel. Again, His role is enormous. But He is not the gospel.

Any Christian with even a glimmer of knowledge about Jesus knows he IS the Kingdom. Everything he personified and taught was a foretaste of that kingdom present on earth through him. A time of rest from the burdens of the law, of never being able to measure up, of feeling unworthy, inadequate and never ever being able to accomplish the dung that COG ministers promote as "truth." 

Christians since the beginning of Christianity have always looked forward to the kingdom to come. When they were being persecuted by the Romans, Greeks, Vikings, Vandals, the papacy, slavery, communism, socialism and any other system out there, they had hope and faith in what was to come which sustained them through the trials and tribulations they endured. That faith came directly through the example and actions of Jesus, no matter how much the bastardizers of the law claim otherwise. Faith cannot come through the law.

Paul was right when he said there were people that pervert the gospel.

“I marvel that you are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed”

Judaizers like James Malm and Bob Thiel, to the perverse teachings of "all things in common" by Dave Pack, to the "no contact" perverted policy of Gerald Flurry, this is the filth that masquerades as "truth." The "gospel" that the various COG leaders preach is blatantly not the gospel.

Dave Pack is cursed, since he deceives his followers. Gerald Flurry is cursed since he too deceives his followers.  The few hundred that follow the Chief Pharisee and his Wiccan sidekick Constance are equally cursed. Bob Thiel's followers are deceived by his lies and his fake claims of prophethood.

As the various Churches of God gather for their yearly "foretaste" of that kingdom, they are fraught with division, competition, vanity, greed and many other injustices that are unworthy of being part of any kingdom.  They claim to find millennial bliss for 7 days and then hop in their cars and leave it behind in Branson, Missouri.  Instead of reveling in it 365 days out of the year, totally at rest from the vain laws of unbelieving leaders, members continue to swallow their false gospels.
