RCG’s David C. Pack Paints Himself Into Another Corner

 

David C. Pack spent 53 minutes during the Ministerial Conference yesterday “demystifying the office of prophet” for the attendees and the entire church. He stated that he “has been” Elijah the Prophet instead of as in recent months, preaching that in the future-tense.

 

The declaration of him being a prophet (Elijah is That Prophet) years ago was walked back over time. In fact, re-read these quotes from Part 374:

 

“So, if it’s true that I am Elijah the prophet now, then this is a lock for next week. [The 1335 begins on Tuesday, June 14, 2022] It’s an absolute lock…You heard what I said as recently as yesterday, I’m telling, not foretelling.”

 

“So, I I I look, you know my heart. As recently as this week, I’ve gone I’ve said, ‘No no no no, I’m not I’m not Elijah.’ I still wanna say I’m not...Am I telling or foretelling? I guess I could say, ‘not sure.’”

 

Flash forward to four days later. Part 375 delivered on June 12, 2022.

 

@ 13:57 “Now, I don’t know when I became an apostle. I explained it 18 years ago, but I don’t know when I became an apostle, neither did Mr. Armstrong. So, would it be strange that I would not know when I became a prophet? I mean, I I I been talking about prophey a long time. I may’ve been Elijah for a week. I may’ve been Elijah since the series began for 6 2/3 years where I been explaining things and laying out, but mostly prophesying in part. Just in part. And and knowing in part and then knowing more and prophesying a little more of a part. But there would come a point where would culminate and it would become easy to understand, the whole mystery’s gone. And then as far as, we might say the vernacular as far as God’s purpose, ‘Now it’s game on!’ You see? Think of it that way. But, I don’t know when I became a a a a an a a prophet. I don’t know.”

 

All that David C. Pack has done this week is solidify his fraudulent office. Those at the Ministerial Conference will be direct witnesses of his failure when the 1335 does not begin tomorrow.

 

@ 16:40 “Now, to be unable to know when or how he functioned as Elijah uh before that is incomplete and it’d be wrong but it’s wrong to say uh he he he he is is not here. Uh and anybody who says, ‘Well, I don’t know if you’ve functioned as Elijah yet.’ Well, lemme just tell ya something, you now I’ma tell ya, you do not and cannot believe, you do not and cannot possibly believe Christ’s return is imminent. Because this man functions as Elijah right before it happens. If somebody wants to say, ‘I don’t think you have yet,’ now they’re probably gonna leave the church in the next five minutes, but I’m just telling you, somebody had that attitude my I would say, ‘Okay. If if you wanna hold view, okay. Not a problem. But just do not pretend for one second to think you believe all the other metrics that suggest Christ is coming soon. You couldn’t possibly.”

 

Jeremiah 14:14 - Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

 

@ 29:27 “Now, we could ask this, ‘If I’m laying out what’s gonna happen and essentially, when, in practical reality, practical reality, what am I doing?’ I mean, just just just looking at it, ‘If Mr. Pack says and that we we know all that we’re supposed to know and this is this is the year and everything lines up,’ just on its face, if I’m saying uh you know, let us look toward next Tuesday [June 14, 2022] and here’s here and here are the things that’re gonna happen, what would you call that? It’s not speaking in tongues. It’s not the gift of healing. It’s not discerning spirits. It sounds an awful lot like the gift of prophecy, even if it’s for that moment if you wanted to say.”

 

@ 31:18 “And then I would just reiterate another point, you can ‘know in part and prophesy in part.’ Didn't mean I would get everything right.”

 

The term “in part” does not equal “wrong” and “false” – but in Dave’s mind, it is the same.

 

He went on to talk about Habbakuk 2:2 speaking “plainly” and in “stones.”

 

@ 33:58 “In other words, harden this up right before it happens. That sounds like a prophet is saying what’s gonna happen and he’s ‘rushing to call it out’ in ‘the last days of his voice’ and this time put it in blood, stone, and steel. So to speak. Carve it in the wood. Engrave it because it’s solid at the very end.”

 

Jeremiah 28:9 - The prophet which prophesieth of peace,  when the word of the prophet shall come to pass,  then shall the prophet be known,  that the LORD  hath truly sent him.

 

What do you suppose the spin will be on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday? Dave will remind members of that “84 hours of slop” mask that will drop into their laps from above, providing crucial biblical oxygen so he can make them euphoric and also drag this out for a few more days.

 

@ 39:09 “So then I ask the question, ‘Did I get the last messages from God’s mouth?’ I’ve never pretended to get a vision that potentially ‘Uh oh, you got a vision, maybe you got it from a demon,’ somebody could. I don’t I didn’t get any visions. I didn’t hear any voices. I didn’t see uh you know, Gabriel in my bedroom or anything like that.”

 

Numbers 12:6 - And He said, Hear now My words: If there be a prophet among you, the LORD will make Myself known unto him in a vision, will speak unto him in a dream.

 

I say AMEN to David C. Pack being correct. I say AMEN to the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ coming this week. I say AMEN to me being proven a liar so that David C. Pack can be proven to be a true prophet of God. – But let’s wait until this coming Sabbath to make a judgment call on that.

 

All the attendees at the RCG Ministerial Conference this week in Wadsworth, Ohio will bear witness to another prophetic failure from a false prophet who sits before them.

 

Deuteronomy 18:20-22 - But the prophet,  which shall presume to speak a word in My name,  which  I have not commanded him to speak,  or that shall speak in the name of other gods,  even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart,  How shall we know the word which the LORD  hath not spoken?  When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD,  if the thing follows not,  nor come to pass,  that is the thing which the LORD  hath not spoken,  the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously:  thou shalt not be afraid of him.

 

How can any man or women attending the Restored Church of God read their Bible and still give David C. Pack “a pass” on this?

Crazy COG Leader Says Scriptures Were Given To The COG To Preserve

 

Wierd beliefs in the Churches of God need not be confined to Bob Thiel, Ron Weinland, Gerald Flurry, or Dave Pack. Another crazy COG leader is just like Bob Thiel, unable to convince many Caucasian supporters around the world and particularly in the United States, he has to recruit members in Africa, where he claims half of the African continent are members of his cult. The funny thing about him is that he and Bob Thiel regularly poach members off each other.

About the only difference between this guy and Bob Thiel is that Wade Cox believes the Bible was given specifically to the COG to preserve its integrity so that it could be used to interpret the Koran, where this looney tune gets so much of his crazy prophecy. According to Cox, "...that simple fact should be obvious to the dullest Muslim by now."

Cox and his little group of Caucasians and half of the population of Africa, are working very hard to prepare for the salvation of true believers in this "1st resurrection", everyone else can kiss their ass goodbye.

Today we proceed on with the Surah 35 “Angels” and Surah 36 “Ya Sin” 

Surah 35 deals with the Angels as the Messengers of God in the creation and shows their purpose.  The Spiritual phase is taken on as the warning from the beginning at the creation by God and the creation of the Sons of God, and as instruction through the Spirit, and the next phase is as the warning to mankind through the prophets at “Ya Sin” or “O Man” as the object of warning.

The next phase will be Surah 37 as “Those Who Set The Ranks” and we will explain the sequence of revelation in that phase.

Without the Scriptures it is impossible to understand the Koran and that simple fact should be obvious to the dullest Muslim by now. The Scriptures are given to the Church of God and maintained in their integrity by them.  The Trinitarian Sunday worshippers of the Baal system are no different in that pseudo-Islam and they both worship the false god, Hubal or Baal, either at Rome or at Mecca or among the pseudo-Orthodox in the eastern rites.

These warnings are to them all, and the Scriptures and the Koran or Qur’an will see the destruction of them all among the world’s false religions.

Time is short and we have to work hard to prepare the world for Salvation in the First Resurrection.  Once the Messiah arrives it is all too late. The Jews and Churches of God that keep Hillel will not be in the First Resurrection. These are they who weep and gnash their teeth when they realise what has been taken from them by these false teachers of Armstrongism and the Sun Cults. They have allowed these parasites to take their crowns. So also the Imams and Sheiks have lied continually and told them the Scriptures had been lost and that they did not need to keep the laws of God when the Koran says that they must do so (Surahs 3:93; 4:154 etc.). They incite prayer by rote and also pray to the Messiah and the saints and for that they will die.

May we all grow and develop in the faith around the world and remain steadfast in the faith.

Lying Wonders and Orginal Belief?

 

Church of God groups love to assert the belief that they are all practicing 1st Century Christianity just as the apostles did. Nothing could be further from the truth than that statement.

The other day our favorite crackpot property, the illustrious and all-knowing Bwana Elijah Bob Thiel had this to say:

Were lying wonders part of why Greco-Romans changed their beliefs? What doctrines did Gregory Thaumaturgus (the ‘Wonder-Worker’) promote that got accepted? What about the impact of ‘Marian’ apparitions and delusional people? Where did the rosary and brown scapular come from? Does the Great Monarch, with pagan prophetic ties, sound like the Beast/King of the North, that the Bible warns against? Should books based on scripture and history be considered “bad books” by faithful Christians? Could a church with ties to the original apostles be considered a “false religion” that “appears” in the end time? What have pontiffs Benedict XVI and Francis written about truth? What about misunderstandings about the gospel of the kingdom of God and salvation? What does the Bible teach is truth and the faith to contend for? In addition to addressing those issues, towards the end of this video, Dr. Thiel goes over a chart of original catholic beliefs that the Greco-Romans have changed. He concludes that the Continuing Church of God is more faithful to the original faith once delivered to the saints than Greco-Roman Catholic or Protestant groups.

It is funny to watch Bwana Bob salivate and slobber all over Catholic and Protestant writers when what they say seems to fits his deluded scenarios, and then turn around and say crap like he does above.

Instead of ridiculing the Catholics and others, why doesn't Bwana Bob look inwardly at the lying wonders that he uses to bolster his personality cult in others' eyes.  From his self-appointment to the so-called double blessing and including the nightmares that he and a couple others have had are just as deluded as the pagans he loves to quote. Their myths and outright lies are just as silly at times as Bwana Bob's lies.

God no more had hand in starting the improperly named "continuing" Church of "god" than he did with starting Dave Pack's or Gerald Flurry's personality cults. The myths that he promotes in his little group are nothing like what those first-century Christians practiced, including forcing his members to tithe. Absent are any teachings on grace, sanctification, justification, or even mercy. Instead, they rely upon an old pissy god that can't wait to annihilate most of the earth's population so that COG members can take over.

Never in the history of the Church of God movement have we seen so many liars in our midst.

In Personal Hindsight

 

In Hindsight...

Only after leaving a Cult does, one realize they were in one. When one is in it, it is a "True Church".  In politics, of course, one has the "True Views".

Pointing out that one might have been in a cult can make those who were also in it angry for making the observation as the process of admitting it is different for everyone concerned. Some can never admit it because we all feel we are "smarter than that" and never would or could have been taken in by any such thing.  

But in my own hindsight, I was. It was the 60's after all!  Civil rights riots, American cities on fire, Cuban Missile Crisis, Wars in the Middle East, Political assassinations, Viet Nam, Hippies and Woodstock. Jesus simply had to be on the way!  Prophecy Comes Alive!  I suppose today is not much different with only the topics shifting around that need to be "fixed", however one thinks the fixing needs to done. 

It was embarrassing and humbling to admit to myself that not only was I in a cult but I was a pastor in a cult. I was a salesman for the leader. My education in "theology" only matched that of the leader and forsook all other realities about the Bible that did not fit the program or what I may have personally need to believe whether it was true or not. When I believed it, I thought it was true or I'd not have believed it.  But I admit it to myself. I was in a cult. Others views of their own experience may differ. 

Being in a cult is not the "fault" of the member. It is the fault of the authoritarian leader whose personality disorders, need to control and self absorbed behaviors manifest in the lives of others as they inflict their personal form of chaos on those they attract.   It is also very profitable for the authoritarian.  

There cults can form in any environment where people find commonality, community and need to belong. Cults can be as innocent as collectors who obsess over their Action Figure and Star Wars Collections and are harmless, except maybe to one's finances. Cults of concern usually develop in both religion and politics. It is most often in religion and politics that cultic personalities survive and thrive.  History is strewn with them and the chaos they bring to society. 

In my view and experience, I naively joined a cult when young. I became a salesman for the cult. And only after stepping out of it was I able to see that I was drawn to it for all the classic reasons and the leadership had all the classic symptoms of cultic leadership. 

My only personal reconciliation with the issue as it presented itself in my own experience is that I could not now be here, if I had not then been there.
