Alton Billingsley: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Alton Billingsley has only two claims to fame that he is noteworthy of. The first is that he was the driver of the car that Richard Armstrong was riding in that was involved in the accident that killed Richard. Second, his documented off-the-wall prophetic failures are as astoundingly wrong as Dave Pack’s and Bwana Beto Bob's false prophecies.

After hyperventilating over inflation, drought, Putin, and other things in the news, he says this:

And now, finally, a last word to you who read this warning message—this summary of the prophecies: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Your immediate future is of your own choosing. You can take this lightly, let it slip from mind, allow yourself once again to be absorbed in the mechanics of today's complex society that you put this out of mind.

If you do, you have now read YOUR FATE—and I say to you on authority of God Almighty that it is absolutely SURE! Or, you may heed the warning, realize the truth—that there already have occurred in the world sufficient happenings to verify the REALITY of God's prophecies-and REPENT NOW before it is too late.

If you DO turn to God by forsaking your way and this world's ways through Jesus Christ as personal Saviour—if you DO then overcome, study the Bible continually to let it correct and reprove and instruct YOU—living by EVERY WORD OF GOD, rather than by the ways and customs of society—if you pray earnestly and continually, drawing closer and closer to GOD, and endure in this wonderful new life, you shall be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these terrifying things soon to befall the world. (Luke 21: 36).

You may escape the Great Tribulation. No PLAGUE will come near you. And, finally, given the precious gift of eternal life, you shall be used in God's Kingdom teaching and ruling those human beings made joyous in that PEACEFUL WORLD TOMORROW! The decision is now YOURS!

The End

David C. Pack: I Got Nothin’

The physical reality of prophetic failure two days in a row (again) has taken a toll. They have run out of ideas behind the front gate of Headquarters at The Restored Church of God. David C. Pack posted a pointless "Pathetic Update" in Member Services yesterday.

Color me disappointed that there were no accidentally immortalized comments to the degree of, “This was extremely hard to discern until God dropped a load of proof on us.”

Within 24 hours, that statement became more humorous and worthless than before. The "load of proof" became vapor because it did not come from God. It was all hot air seeping from the ears of a false apostle. How many more times will the enablers continue to prop up a golden calf and call him Pastor General?

After a full day of shrugging by the Coffee Kid and Meat Shield, Dave had no choice but to join in. Cartoon question marks appeared over their heads and are with us to this day. How is that for a sign or a wonder?

The First Kingdom of God Arrives on "I dunno."

The empty vessel is empty all right.

October 7, 2022

Dear brethren,

I neglected yesterday to reiterate that I personally intend to continue watching right into the Feast. There are eight post-Feast days in Tishrei for God’s Plan to spill into, while keeping all 10 days “in one month.” In fact, there are two alternate tracks at the Feast when the 10 days could start. Both are powerful. With today gone, time will show which track God has chosen. We still do not know which day and hour.

In Christ’s service,

David C. Pack

The only things "powerful" Dave comes up with nowadays are his brain farts. And those are just squeakers that fade quickly into obscurity.

This must have been thrown together at the last minute as the day wore on, and it “became clear” nothing significant was going to occur in Jerusalem or here in Wadsworth. Again. The only people surprised by this were those living inside David C. Pack’s head.

Enabler-in-Chief Brad knew it.

Stepford Prime Ed knew it.

Dr. Feelbad Jaco knew it.

Chicago Heavy Ken knew it.

Hireling Ryan knew it.

Hireling Tim knew it.

Hireling Carl knew it.

Meat Shield Andrew knew it.

Coffee Kid Jim knew it.

Hireling Salasi knew it.

Hireling Frank knew it.

Hireling Mike knew it.

Hireling-in-Training Raymond knew it.

All those who have left The Restored Church of God knew it. As they also knew his ambiguous “it could happen at the Feast or after the Feast” was coming. Dave is out of ideas. He’s got nothin’.

David C. Pack is a man spewing confusion, and the enablers lap it up. They are willfully blind. How few righteous will be left in that city before God destroys it?

“…time will show which track God has chosen.”

God has chosen the track that does not have you on it, Dave. The spirit that moves you and flows out your mouth is not from God. A simple passing of time forced this conclusion.

John Brisby: If You Criticize The Work You Are Blaspheming The Holy Spirit

Jon Brisby, the current head of the Church of God the Eternal, has not been known to be a sound theologian for many years now. Never having any real theological education other than a bunch of Herbert Armstrong's booklets, he resorts to lots of edicts that make no sense at all. That is evident in his silliness below describing how not supporting and criticizing the work is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Bwana Bob will certainly get his holistic knickers in a major twist reading this since there is only ONE church actively doing the "work" today and it certainly is NOT Jon Brisby.

Jon wonders why his church is shrinking like the rest of the COG's, this is why:

Who then is in the greatest danger of committing this unpardonable sin—the sin that Christ said equates to blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? It is the one who is called by God to be part of His firstfruits harvest—pictured by the true Pentecost—but who is refusing to accept the Truth revealed in our very day by this same Jesus Christ. Christ confirmed that He did indeed do a Work in our day—these last days:

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you (Acts 13:40–41).

Christ said by this that His divine Work is present someplace right now. But many of His called children are claiming otherwise. Because of the misbehavior of many Church of God ministers of the past, they have become jaded and resentful against any organized group today. They believe that they can worship God just fine on their own. But Jesus Christ said otherwise:

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him (John 7:16–18).

Two facts are critical from this statement: First, the doctrine is everything. And secondly, recognizing the voice of God through chosen instruments who are sent is paramount. Christ promised that He would indeed preach that true doctrine through human instruments in our day:

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:14–15)

Yet many of God's truly called children today are kicking against this very fact. They have vowed to trust no man to teach them the Truth of God. They will get it all by themselves through their personal prayer and study alone. But that very philosophy is an absolute denial of the Work of God being done today through the Spirit of Truth. They do not realize it, but it is exactly the same thing that the Pharisees were doing when denying that Christ's healing miracles came from God. It is a vilification, an evil speaking, a railing, and yes, a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Because if Christ is truly working through a human ministry someplace upon this earth, and if some of His called children are refusing to acknowledge that Spirit of Truth in action, then they are not just rejecting "a man," but they are rejecting the very work of God's Spirit by Jesus Christ Himself:

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, [it] shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning (John 15:20–27).

How then can you avoid being guilty of blaspheming the Holy Spirit and committing the unpardonable sin? No matter how much and how aggressively you may have been resisting God's divine Work thus far, it is still not too late. But you need to acknowledge that Christ truly is still working to feed His sheep miraculously through an organized remnant body. He promised that the gates of hell would never prevail against that true Church (Matthew 16:18). So it is here someplace. Wherever it is, it is a work that respects the original revelation of Truth given by God in our age through a chosen servant. If you are still claiming that Herbert Armstrong was not that servant—and you have every reason to know better—you are in danger. If you are acknowledging the legitimate origin of that true Church but are still chafing today at the requirement to "become part of" a remnant fellowship—because you refuse to be taught "by any man"—you are likewise treading on very dangerous ground. But if you are willing to fight against that enemy spirit which is seeking to keep you divided from the Body of Christ, and if you will humble yourself and hear the True Shepherd, even though it is coming through the foolishness of preaching (1 Corinthians 1:21), then you can escape the road that leads to death—eternal damnation. All it takes is an acknowledgment, and then a sincere walk in the correct direction. He will hear you, and He will lead you by His Spirit to bear real spiritual fruit.  Member letter, June 2022

LDS Leader In Hot Water After Plagiarizing Armstrongite Splinter Group Leader John O. Reid from Church of the Great God

A reader here directed me toward this story.

Who could have ever imagined a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints elder would be quoting a splinter group leader from Armstrongism! I never had that on my COG Bingo Card!

Religion News Service had this article up by

"(RNS) — A leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints appears to have plagiarized a portion of his address at a national church gathering, passing off the words of an obscure religious teacher as his own.

During the church’s recent General Conference, held Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1-2), Elder David Bednar, a former university president and a member of the body known as the Quorum of 12 since 2004, preached to church members about a well-known New Testament parable about a king who throws a wedding for his son, only to have none of the invited guests show up."

The article goes after describing the story and then has this:

"What the former university president did not tell those listening is that the interpretation of the parable was not entirely his own. Instead, his analysis was taken, often word for word, from a 2016 article about the parable written by John O. Reid, a leader in a little-known sect referred to as the Church of the Great God.

Bednar also read several quotes from Reid and from Elder James E. Talmage, an LDS leader who died in 1933, crediting some, but giving the impression that the ideas were his own. Footnotes to Reid’s article and Talmage’s work, as well as other sources, do appear in the published version of Bednar’s talk — but material from both appears without quotation marks."

RNS then has this:

"Religion News Service first contacted church leaders about Bednar’s address on Wednesday (Oct. 5). At that time, the transcript had only one footnote mentioning Reid and no quotation marks around material taken from his work, according to screenshots of the transcript and an internet archive of the page. That single footnote and the only mention of Reid appeared after several paragraphs of material lifted from Reid with no attribution."

Brethren, Make Sure To Turn In Your Excess Second Tithe!

From an LCG source:

LCG wants our excess second tithes, but do they deserve it? Do any of the COG's really deserve it? It is not a command or even expectation under the New Covenant. This year treat your family or yourself to something special and let the elite from HQ make better decisions about what type of facilities they rent or use. Let those elite HQ representatives that get free housing and big bonuses for use at the Feast donate that money. Let's have the elite leadership set the example, for once.

Excess Second Tithe

Some have thought that excess second tithe is no longer set aside for a specific purpose and may be used back home. That is not the case. To do so is to profane what God has set aside as holy!

The Church has traditionally said that a portion of one’s excess second tithe may be used to supplement—not replace—one’s Last Great Day offering. However, one should take care to cover expenses regarding the trip home, some of which can be unexpected, such as a flat tire. After returning home, excess second tithe should then be sent in as a “Festival Tithe Donation” so that it will be put in a fund to help take care of next year’s Festival expenses. It should be noted that the Church rarely, if ever, receives enough Festival Tithe donations to cover all Feast-related costs.

Generally, excess second tithe should not be saved for the following Feast. However, there may be exceptions to this. When someone is going to retire and does not expect to have sufficient funds for the next year, saving some excess second tithe is permissible. Close family members separated by great distances are permitted to occasionally save for the following Feast so they can be with family when that would otherwise be impossible. In situations where income is erratic, it may be best to spread out a bountiful year’s second tithe over several years. But none of this should be our usual practice—we are to save up from year to year (Deuteronomy 14:22).

While it might seem selfless to minimize second tithe expenses during the Feast in order to send more to the Church at the end of it, doing so can frustrate the very purpose of second tithe! Seek to satisfy that purpose during the Feast, seeing to it that you and your family rejoice abundantly and enjoy picturing what God’s Feast represents—thereby learning to fear the Eternal, who gives such gifts to those who love Him. This purpose should be satisfied first—then any additional contribution in your final offering will truly be “excess.” How do I use my second tithe?
