I fear—I truly FEAR—for those who so freely speak against the work of the Holy Spirit in The Restored Church of God. If only they could have the good sense of carnal Gamaliel in Acts 5:34-39, and stop attacking us “lest haply [they] be found even to fight against God.” We obey Christ’s Matthew 5:44 command to pray for those who do not fear God—who attack and speak evil of the work of God’s Spirit—and who are in more trouble than they know. Now read three verses later in Luke 11—verse 23—and ask where you fit into what Christ said. Who are you “WITH”?
Exposing the underbelly of Armstrongism in all of its wacky glory! Nothing you read here is made up. What you read here is the up to date face of Herbert W Armstrong's legacy. It's the gritty and dirty behind the scenes look at Armstrongism as you have never seen it before! With all the new crazy self-appointed Chief Overseers, Apostles, Prophets, Pharisees, legalists, and outright liars leading various Churches of God today, it is important to hold these agents of deception accountable.

And here I thought we attacked God when we made fun of Flurry. It gets so confusing, not knowing which apostle/prophet/pastor general to follow.
ReplyDelete......the basic assumption on Dave's part being that the Holy Spirit has anything to do whatsoever with RCG, or was ever involved with HWA.
ReplyDeleteI also find it absurd that he would invoke Gamaliel, having watched the man-made Armstrong empire collapse and fail.

I was unaware that the Holy Spirit resides in a False Prophet. Can anyone show me anywhere in Scripture where God uses False Prophets to teach the people of God?
ReplyDeleteAre the works of the flesh as exhibited by David Pack an indication of an indwelling of the Holy Spirit, particularly when there doesn't seem to be any fruit of the Spirit.
Anyway, doesn't Scripture say we are to "fear not" false prophets?
And aren't we supposed to publicly mark those who cause divisions like David Pack does?
I would say that David Pack really should fear, given that he is a false prophet committing idolatry. He is in much more trouble than he can know.
First, there has to be an entity to be in trouble with. That entity is just as spurious as he and all the other Cog false prophets are. All these COGs are nothing, just like their fictional deity.
ReplyDeleteYawn!
Hey Dave: Go up, thou baldhead; go up, thou baldhead!
ReplyDeleteThere, that ought to do it.
This is not meant to knock either God or the Bible, but consider the situation on the COG scene today.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, with around 666 different self-appointed false apostles, false prophets, false ministers, and false members each pretending to be somebody and wanting to lead others (and many additional lower level impostors in some of the larger groups), the odds are actually greatly in favor of the mockers.
Years ago the so-called Independents--the rebels who were happy to be out from under HWA after his death--blathered away happily about how the number of new churches, ministries, websites, support groups, independent fellowships, etc. was "exploding," as if this were something good. In fact, it was only the WCG that was exploding to pieces. No new people were coming along.
Let us face the facts. These characters are not teaching what HWA did, no matter what they claim. With HWA long dead, each one is now going off in his own different direction. Most openly disagree with HWA on major issues.
The vast majority who listen to these characters will get their time wasted, and their heads filled with bunk.
Those who are conned by some of these self-appointed leaders will get totally financially drained. Even worse, it will not be to their credit either when this happens. Handing over all the money that they do will just make them guilty of the sin of spreading false teachings and more wrong prophetic guesses.
As for DCP in particular, he seems to just think that he has figured things out. But has he? It does not sound like God has ever appeared to him in a vision or a dream at night, as God did in the past with real prophets. Rather, like all the other goofballs today, DCP just thinks that he is somebody special.
DCP wants lots of other people's money (OPM) and he wants it badly. Once someone has carelessly handed over their money, DCP will hang on to it very tightly. They will never be able to get any of it back.
Consider that even HWA thought for 52 years that he had things figured out. But God had not appeared to HWA in any vision or dream at night to tell him to say the things he did, and later on God did not back up his presumptuous prophetic guesses.
DCP has his followers thinking that the end will now be within a handful of years. By then, they will have handed over a lot of loot. What will they do then if the end is not yet? If DCP is wrong then, expect the usual story of some delay to string them along some more.
This movie has been seen before. It has been playing for about 80 years now. In the COG the saying seems to be: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me ten or twenty times, shame on me.
