THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN BULLETS
The pen is mightier than bullets is not an original thought, because many human beings have long realized this is true throughout history. Exposure is one thing those in power hate. Light penetrates the darkness. Darkness hates the light of truth. In the world of government, whistleblowers are now deemed "criminals." Truth bearers are often targeted as "insane" human beings, "nut cases" and generally dismissed as rather stupid people. Those who speak truth are often laughed at and scorned as if they are a little looney. This is nothing new. Jesus Christ often said "you have heard that it has been said" and would then proceed to speak "but I say unto you" and then He would speak a totally different concept about life. For example Jesus said "you have heard that it has been said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I say unto you, turn the other cheek" and so forth. So who was it that originally said "an eye for an eye?" Apparently it was not God.
Those who wield power over others always and forever live in fear that they will lose their power. Why is it that the president of the United States always has the motive to be reelected? Men can speak volumes of words and they frequently do, but it is not what men say, but rather the fruit of their lives that speaks volumes. If the words promote war and more war and more war and more war endlessly, does that not speak the truth of the heart of those in power? Jesus taught "love your neighbor as you love yourself." Going to church is nothing. Living by love is everything. The excuse for endless wars is often to demonize the ruler of the targeted nation, and the end result is the death and destruction of civilization and the theft of oil and resources of those demonized. We are not all so gullible as to believe the "news" media and what they spew forth 24/7. The agents of mass propaganda fool many, but not all.
In the world of cult religious groups such as the Worldwide Church of God and its many splinter groups, exposure to their corruption is considered "persecution." Only the simple minded are fooled. Those in power know that they must control the people through FEAR and unfortunately it works. Like the Titanic, cults are sinking ships and the only ones to be saved are those in life boats. The life boat is to exit being controlled and dominated by fake and false "pastors" and "elders" who have a pretense of representing God on earth. They don't! If you have a brain and you do, then its purpose is think for yourself and not bow to those who only want to control your thinking and devour your pocketbook.
Van Robison
In truth, the Armstrongists are all kooks. Their beliefs can be objectively scientifically disproved.
ReplyDeleteMoreover, and tragically, though the Church of God Seventh Day (Denver Conference) may or may not have anything to offer, the truth is that all the major doctrines of Armstrongism, save for the false prophecies based on British Israelism, the crazy disproved church "era" history and the keeping of the Feasts, have all come from the CoG7D and often, the sermons would be difficult to discern from Armstrongism and even the "Lord's Supper" is kept in almost exactly the same way as the Armstrongists' "Passover" (which is nothing of the kind).
Yet the Armstrongists won't acknowledge where they got their "truths" and treat the CoG7D with contempt. The WCG even tried to sue the CoG7D over copyright for a booklet the CoG7D had written in the 1930s. Oops! And "The Bible Advocate" has been around for 150 years. Where's the "Plain Truth" today? Gone. Really, really gone.
Instead of doing the sane thing and admit their belief system has no rationality, they take the obvious cognitive dissonance which cannot be reconciled and live with it by compartmentalization. This leads to crazy insanity resulting in ever more splits and splinters, showing that the entire venue is terribly sick and needs to be put out of its misery.
A CoG7D minister said recently that there is a "Proclamation urgency typified by dates set for the return of Jesus Christ". End time doomsday religions are desperate because there is so much going on that God can't wait any longer -- so they set dates for Him to return. It gives them security as a sense of salvation.
We have yet another nutcase named Gabriel who has shown up recently with a brand new "return of Christ date" based on shadows on a refrigerator door, 40 days of non fasting fasting and a feeling that God has called him especially to preach the word by writing a book he finished on the Last Day of the Feast of Tabernacles and distributed by just about every outlet you can imagine. A former carpenter in Kentucky launched when a travelling evangelist named him as a child and convinced him that he was special to God.
The world is full of signs and wonders.
And the most important of the signs is the one which says, "Stop".
Here is an excellent Scripture to describe those who wield power -- Isaiah 59:4
ReplyDeleteNone calls for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
Innocent followers must suffer the terrible contempt the leadership of the splinters of the Worldwide Church of God, particularly if they are poor. They have no advocates. People who are stalked by other members not only have no support from the ministry, the ministry itself supports the stalker.
No one cries out to stop terrible child abuse of helpless children. The teens are sexually assaulted, sometimes by the children of the ministers and elders, but no one will even report it. No, it's worse, because people are told that they will harm the church if it gets out. It's so much worse.
They trust in the lies of their dead false prophet and the hirelings take the money and run. People not only sacrifice for miserable rotten con men, but are sacrificed by them.
You might not believe the Bible, but it often has stellar on spot analysis of the works of the flesh by the Old Testament Christian Pharisee False Prophets of the modern age.
The prisoners are sadly trapped in a prison experiment from which they cannot escape and are driven mad by the guards who must keep them in line for the benefit of those who run the prisons.
Mr. Robison, well said!

The Armstrong people who write to the Painful Truth often accuse us of trying to destroy "Gods Church."
It is not the Painful Truth, it is those sheep herders who are slaughtering the flock!
What the members don't realize is that the church cannot grow or retain membership in an era of information. The past events speak of future events for the perspective recruit. Who wants to expose their families to harm and hardship?
If the world chose harm and hardship over peace and love, all of us would be of the slave mentality. Its just not natural to want harm to enter our lives and destroy our families.
This is why Armstrongism will fail. Information about the past events these churches have participated in is an indication of what future events can be expected.
If I joined Jace's former cult, Faithful Flock, I could expect the same as what I experienced in the past.
If I was new to Armstrongism I "would" expect a Christ loving church. I would soon find out that it was a legalistic heavy handed mind control cult. It would take time but I would figure it out due to the information age.
I could Google it, read, discern, then leave a few dollars short, but intact. Family unharmed!
