Van Robison: "SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS"

SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS

Life on earth is complex and the answers to questions, problems and issues seem to never be cut and dried.  Religion, superstitions and constant FEAR have always played a major role in human affairs.  The common man and woman have always been manipulated by the unscrupulous.    The unscrupulous are found in pulpits, politics, governments, enforcement, courts, prisons, corporations, banks, the medical system, the never ending making of "laws", and virtually every area of human life.

While human beings are extremely intelligent in many ways, at the same time the failings of human beings are exponential.  Humans fail to live in peace with their fellow man.  Humans fail to find answers to many problems in human life, for the simple fact that greed and $money are the driving forces that motivate so many who rise to the top of power and control over others.  Many modern day monarchs of churches, are not really preaching the Gospel to the world, but are play acting that they are God's "servant" to the world.    The church world is as guilty of class division as the world was during the age of the sinking of the Titanic, when passengers were divided into classes of the rich and the poor.

The church world today is headed straight for the ICEBERG, the same as the Titanic was in 1912 and the Titanic sunk.    The "aristocrats" who stand in pulpits and swell their bank accounts at the expense of the gullible and naive are no different than the aristocrats of the age of the British empire.  People of wealth and power and control have since the beginning of human time, ruled over and controlled common humans, who generally have no means of riches, wealth or influence.  Is the only real difference in human beings $MONEY?

How many people of wealth, fame and riches are HUMBLE and MEEK human beings?  How many preachers who stand in pulpits live in splendor and luxury at the expense of the simple minded?  When you see million dollar or multi-million dollar church buildings being built, then you know that a lot of folks are giving support to a material object that God DOES NOT DWELL IN, for no other reason than the self-appointed "pastor" or "elders" of that group convinced the simple minded that it is "necessary."

What will ever awaken so many from their STUPOR and their ignorance?  No man or woman who stands in a pulpit is God.  No politician or human government is God.  INK on PAPER is not God.  Obviously those who placed their faith in the Captain of the Titanic found that their misplaced faith was a disaster.  "Captains" who stand in pulpits cannot guarantee truth, but they always espouse their opinions as if they are "truth."  Non-thinkers always have false faith in human leaders.  Thinkers on the other hand QUESTION and QUESTION and QUESTION and seek answers.  Blind faith in the Bible is NOT intelligence, it is stupidity.  Most church goers are not THINKERS, they are followers who have fishhooks in their lips and are led around by self-appointed gurus who pretend that they are someone "special."

When church goers are FEARFUL of their "leaders", it is proof that they have the wrong god.  Believing that TRUTH comes from those who stand in pulpits, often leads to crashing into an ICEBERG and sinking.  This reality has been so endless times throughout church history.  How many foolish church goers have followed human leaders throughout history?  What man or woman who ever stood in a pulpit replaced Jesus Christ?  Obviously none, and yet millions of church goers have bowed before the church aristocrats as if their salvation depended upon it.

  1. I'd say that on a larger scale, the ship is sinking, but wouldn't compare it to the sudden sinking of the Titanic.
Although, when applied to the scale of many individuals, it's an apt analogy.

Take, for instance the example of the largest Christian population- Catholics.
Catholicism is waning, and for good reasons which go well beyond all those sex-abuse scandals and cover-ups which go up the level of the Pope.
In the Catholic teachings, "Papal Infallibility" is paramount, meaning the Pope has so much "Holy Spirit" that He can never be wrong.
Fortunately, most Catholics have begun to see through this lie.
Many people are coming to view the Pope's authoritarian micromanaging decrees (which rival those in armstrongism) as outdated, stupid, ignorant and irrelevant.
The Catholic ship is sinking, slowly.
But for many individual Catholics, it's like their ship hit an iceberg, and they've left more quickly.
