Check out this little gem from the Apostle today. He is still spitting mad at Rod Meredith for allowing members to eat in restaurants on Saturdays if it is due to extenuating circumstances.
The Apostle says:
I am sick of hearing people preach the abominable lie, that eating out at restaurants is ok because they’d be working anyway.
I wonder if he thinks we should all line up at the whorehouse, because they are going to do it anyway?
Rod and almost all other COG leaders have some very serious lessons to learn and I pray they will live long enough to learn them. James
If on Saturdays going to a restaurant is no different than going to a whorehouse, maybe I am patronizing the wrong establishments on Saturdays!
ReplyDeleteWe where so careful about not braking the sabbath but our feast of tabernacles where drunkin orgies. Wasn't that just a little bit hypocritcal?
ReplyDeleteIf The Apostle ever changes to Gentile Chrisitianity and Easter, will he celbrate Malm Sunday?

Did someone say "Whorehouse"?
ReplyDelete“Hey Mom, Hey Dad: It’s Saturday Night! Let’s watch America’s Playboy Preacher, Garner Ted Armstrong, prance naked in the Sue Rae Robertson massage parlor video tonight. It should be fun and entertaining, and we’ll see the bare facts and get the plain truth”.
Richard
In one sense, the "apostle" Malm is correct. The WCG and all it's whore daughters have always had a pick and choose religion. What ever they want to do, they're going to justify what they do. That's what COG religion consists of. Even Malm, being the Grand Pharisee that he is, does the same thing.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that Apostle Malm tuned in so late, Dennis Fischer beat him to it years ago! Note "The Devil's Diner"!
ReplyDeleteMr. Fischer certainly does it with style!

ReplyDeleteThe groundskeeper at the cemetery where GTA was buried just plucked this root that was growing over GTA's grave!

Child/Parent conversation continued from previous post:
ReplyDelete"Great idea Junior for family movie night. Besides, your mom will enjoy seeing Garner Ted Armstrong preaching the gospel into the entire world as a witness including his personal witness in a whorehouse with Sue Rae Robertson. Oh, and since it is still the Sabbath Day and the Apostle Malm says preaching the gospel in whorehouses is like eating out in restaurants on the Sabbath, we can go right ahead - stop at McDonald's and pick up some Big Macs and Fries along the way home. God's other Apostle, Rod Meredith, says it’s OK because this is like an Ox being in the ditch - and watching Garner Ted prance naked is like an emergency. I am as hungry as an ox, and I could eat one too after that long winded Sabbath sermon full of BS about “time being short” that we have been hearing over and over again for 50 years”.

So, if Malm backslides into accidental sin due to temptation, what does this say about the relative seriousness and degree of implications of various sins? And, what about deterence? If his house does burn down, considering his attitudes, sin is sin, so why not visit the whorehouse?

Byker Bob said, "If his house does burn down, considering his attitudes, sin is sin, so why not visit the whorehouse?

MY COMMENT - That is exactly the point of my satire, Byker Bob. By Malm's circular logic, why not visit the whorehouse? LOL
Richard
How does Malm feel about committing incest on the Sabbath?
ReplyDeleteIt's a false comparison. There's nothing in the Bible in my opinion that prohibits the procurement of food or some other necessity on the Sabbath if it's an emergency situation unlike harlotry and adultery, which are expressly condemned throughout Scripture. My advice to Malm is to follow the KISS rule i.e. Keep It Simple Stupid. If the Bible is clear about something then so should we be too, but if the Bible is silent then we should allow fellow Christians the liberty to make up their own minds about it as the apostle Paul said, "Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?" (1 Cor. 10:29). Just because Malm thinks contrary to Meredith on this issue doesn't mean he's right anymore than Armstrong dogmatically asserting masturbation was a sin despite it being nowhere mentioned let alone condemned in Scripture as such. It's just one opinion versus another and God has given us all the freedom to make up our own minds on this or that matter. Ultimately you're not going to be judged by me, Malm or Meredith. There's only One who'll do the judging according to the Bible and He's Christ Jesus. I, for one, am forever thankful that He's so much more merciful and forgiving than people like Malm make out.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good picture for the comparison; as the movie Best Little Whorehouse in Texas was less about a whorehouse than it was about hypocrisy in government and self righteous attitudes.
