Jim Meredith's Upbeat Invitation to Hawaii For The Feast

Check out this wonderful inspiring video from Jim Meredith
inviting you to Living Church of God's "feast" in Hawaii.

If anything could kill the "feast excitement" this would be it!
An empty bookshelf and a dying plant
certainly do NOT give us a foretaste of millennial expectations!

At least buy a poster of Hawaii with the beach and some palm trees for a backdrop.
It's no wonder Living Church of God is now the church of the undead. Joyless and miserable.

At least UCG's video's had a catchy tune and great visuals, even if it was stupid as hell.
UCG video at least gives one the impression their Feast will be fun.
LCG's video though................

If Jim is the person Rod is grooming to be his successor, I have great pity for LCG members. Your church will certainly be splitting into different factions.

  2. Let's see, hair, suit and walls all the same color. A real Nixon moment here. No books and a cheap put it together yourself bookshelf at that. Naked looking plant. Add this to a total lack of conviction in delivery and you have a really exciting advertisement for the Feast for sure.

I'd say Jim flunks his "Stir to Action," "Add Color," and "Get the Facts" speech all in one grandly boring moment.

At least UCG had their rappers wear yellow bananna peels.

The first generation starts it. The second generatin maintains it. The third generation loses it.

  3. "A time when the world is at peace"

Except the warring Armstronist churches of God.

Old and fat, looks like his gut is making him lean back at an odd angle.

He doesn't necessarily have more chins than a Chinese Telephone Directory, but he does sort of sag and bag.

I've been to the Feast in Maui and twice in Kawaii and with his pitch, even though I've been there, I wouldn't go.

And as for it being a millennium setting, aren't all the islands of the see going to disappear? There is that supervolcano that scientists believe created the Hawaiian Islands. What if it blows again? While people are on it? During the Feast?

I can think of one word to cover this guy and it begins with an L and ends with an r with 5 letters with an o s e in between.

  4. That guy is Rod's son? Would not have believed it.

  5. He looks older than me. Must have been hard growing up as Rod's son.

Anyone know what ever happened to Michael Meredith? Mike was a friend of some of my younger siblings.

  6. Yea, boring.
The COG's have got the feast all wrong. Does it say deplete yourslef of everthing you own, or build a booth, spend some time in it in humility. Enjoying what you can afford. Do you want to know how to observe the feast properly, join me at www.bethelgibor.org.

We are Jew and Gentile one in Messish who observe the feasts according to the bible, not anyone's opinion.

  7. Nepotism still runs rampant in these cults, even as they dwindle ever smaller. The nicest feast site, probably in the world, with the least amount of members to babysit and the job goes to Golden Gloves JR.

    Never saw that coming.

    Ah-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  9. If Jim is the person Rod is grooming to be his successor, I have great pity for LCG members.

He isn't just being groomed, he is already acting as his father's stand-in for much of the day-to-day decision making that an 82-year-old stroke victim can't be expected to handle. For all intents and purposes, Jim has a higher position than any of LCG's evangelists, other than Mr. Meredith himself.

You are right to predict that a major split is coming, but the way Jim is offending some long-time loyal LCG members it is beginning to look like the split may even happen while Dad is still alive.

  10. What are the issues that are going to split LCG?

  11. "What are the issues that are going to split LCG?"

I'll place my bets on lust for power and whatever money is available. It surprises me how these interminable splits can occur and there are still enough tithe paying dupes left to keep these clowns in the style they demand for themselves. How do enough people manage to have incomes large enough to keep all these scams afloat? They must be living a sparser lifestyle than we did way back there in the 60s and 70s.

  12. Jim's dad is getting older and Jim is there just to help him. Jim has no aspirations beyond helping his dad and contributing his skills to LCG. His skills are neither in theology nor in politics, which would seem to disqualify him from taking over LCG anyway. Yes, his feast invite was rather drab, but from what I hear, he and his wife are doing a fabulous job with the feast in Kauai. By the way, in the feast film, RCM made a direct comment that Jim is not being groomed to take over, which almost certainly is a result of the comments made here. - anon43

You can judge Meredith’s comments for yourself by watching LCG’s feast film at the following link:

LCG 2012 Feast Film shown in Steamboat Springs, Colorado

The film starts about 30-40 minutes into the recording, so skip ahead unless you are a real masochist!

  15. Did you notice in the LCG feast film that Doug Winnail has a Trojan Horse in his office? -anon43

Are you calling Rod McNair or Gary Ehman a Trojan Horse? :)

What I did notice was that Rod Meredith didn't seem to understand some of what he was saying, as if someone else had given him a script to read and he didn't know what some of the words meant.

All in all, the video reminded me of Garrison Keillor's Lake Wobegon, where all the children are above average. Based on other things that have been reported, I have to assume a lot was being covered up or left unsaid in the video.

  17. I believe Jim Meredith may be a Laodecian minister. His wife is great, raised in the Church as well, but with better parents. Laodecian does not mean "unpardonable", just stubborn. I pray for him.
