Bob Thiel, the Official "unofficial" mouthpiece and spokesman for the Living Church of God, world renown authority on prophecy, Catholicism, Fatima, President Obama and Mayan gibberish, wants you to rest easy tonight with his assurance that the great tribulation will NOT start this year.
Well, that's a relief! I can go buy some bacon now.Great Tribulation Will Not Start in 2012
October 15th, 2012
Various ones with claimed association with the Church of God have claimed or given strong indication that at least part of the Great Tribulation would be in 2012.
There are also secular and other books that make similar claims.
Irrespective of assertions by various self-appointed ones, the fact is that the great tribulation as described in the Apocalypse (Book of Revelation) will not start in 2012.
The prophet continues:
Why?
Well, amongst other reasons, the King of the North (Daniel 11) also known as the Beast (Revelation 13:1-10) is not ready.
Nope, Baron Von Guttenburg, Bob's bromance buddy, has not ascended to power yet. That pesky Merkel is still running the show.
Bob then wants to assure you that Germany is not ready yet to blow us all to smithereens and make us their sex slaves.
While the European Union appears to be determined to unite further to become both an economic and military power, the fact is that it is still not the economic and military power it needs to be in order to eliminate the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
How comforting! Such a lovely message that Living Church of God presents to the world. They must be sooooooooooooooooooo proud!
Just how does prophet Bob know all of this as fact? Here's why:
I have had many European trips this century, and can state that the Europeans are simply not ready to fulfill their role as the supporters of the King of the North – the Final Beast military power yet.
Not only is the prophet the worlds foremost authority on prophecy, the Mayans, Fatima and Catholicism, he is also a world renown traveller who knows the inner workings of Europe!
He continues:
The Europeans do not consider that they are united, they have not accepted any type of universal religion (and while Pope Benedict XVI is working on that–this still is not ready), have not completed their Galileo project (a “GPS” system that will allow them to work independently of the US military’s system), have not finished their systems for “international prosperity”, have not acknowledged ten kings which need to be determined (Revelation 17:12), have not strengthened/unified their military enough, etc.
And while “Galileo” itself is not a biblical requirement, the idea of having its own powerful military clearly is (see Revelation 13:4). There are also events in Daniel 11, Matthew 24, and other prophecies that I do not believe have been fulfilled to the degree necessary for the actual final 3 1/2 year great tribulation to begin in 2008 (though it will start in the future, and actually could begin several years from now).
Even though even Catholic prophecies indicate a great ruler to arise in Europe who will eventually destroy the English (for documentation, see the article Who is the King of the North?), there simply is not such a person who could be ready for this by the end of 2012.
Who knew a GPS system was being created in Europe with the specific intend of destroying the United States! Maybe they will use it to track down the true Church of God members as they fly in worn out 747's to Petra. That will be the next excuse for the GPS system.
Armstrongism is so prone to delusional speculation that anything is possible to come from the pen of Prophet Thiel. Whats the guy going to do when Rod Meredith dies before this all happens? Ames is not capable of leading the church. Is Bob setting himself up to be that leader? He is an authority on everything imaginable, including church doctrine. Who else would be so knowledgeable? Certainly not Steve Meredith
ah...but what if the King of the North is crafty and sneeks in from the south??? Huh...think about it!

I see his ploy! Jesus said the endtime events would occur at a time when we think that they would not. So, Thiel is trying to make everyone think it's not going to happen in 2012! Sneaky, Bob, but your efforts are not going to make HWA's bogusness into reality, so you may as well give it up and shut your piehole!

Wow, what an incredible risk taker Theil is! I mean there are just over two months left to 2012. Maybe, like most of the people in the ACOGs probably believe, he thinks that the tribulation will begin with the inauguration of President Obama for a second term.
