For some reason the Living Church of God's two public spokesmen, Rod Meredith and Bob Thiel are both preoccupied with sex. Fornicating tweetering teens, slap happy masturbators and nicely dressed gays have a powerful hold over the Living Church of God. Exploding headlines about sex predominates many of it's articles and news postings.
In the previous post I quoted Living Church of God blaming hurricane Sandy on gays. Bob Thiel also is speaking out about gays too. He is particularly incensed that New Zealand is IGNORING LCG's message by not sitting around in sack cloth and ashes wailing and knashing their teeth in national repentance.
But New Zealand does not seem inclined to truly listen to those who are strongly advocating changes in the moral direction of the land. Nor do those in Australia or the other Anglo-dominated lands.
So what really has Bob getting his knickers in a wad? The Living Church of God published an article decrying New Zealand's stance on gay marriage. Agree with it or not, one has to wonder why LCG feels it necessary to stick their hands in the pants of New Zealand when the sexual escapades of some in the ministry and leadership of LCG leave a whole lot to be desired.
Bob quotes LCG with this:
The “Marriage Equality” bill that seeks to redefine marriage to include unions between two members of the same sex, overwhelmingly passed its first Parliamentary reading. NZ Prime Minister, John Key, one of the bill’s supporters, described the result as exciting and told media sources that it was “a strong endorsement for the equality of rights” (New Zealand News, August 30, 2012). However, Mr. Key admitted that the debate will grow louder and “quite ferocious” as the bill progresses. Nonetheless, since a strong majority of Parliamentarians supports the bill, it will almost certainly get safely through its remaining stages and become law (ibid.).While many have labeled this bill as a positive initiative that leads to “equal rights,” God does not mince words regarding what He thinks about homosexuality. He calls it “vile” and unnatural (Romans 1:26-27) and an “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22) because it totally corrupts what marriage pictures–the union between Jesus Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-32). Many do not understand the gravity of what they are promoting.
Jesus Christ is going to return, and with the saints will restore the knowledge of God’s true way of life (see Isaiah 30:19-22; Acts 3:19-21). Read our booklet, The World Ahead: What Will It Be Like? to glimpse just how different the soon-coming World Ahead will be.
Yes, read LCG's booklet and salvation is assured! Lolipops and cotton candy by the rivers of Babylon will be your blessed assurance.
you people make me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat if Jesus returns and we find there was a reason he never married and that half the single disciples/apostles were gay , along with the Apostle Paul who fought against it, beat himself to keep himself in subjection and told every that they needed to control "their member." (Not Members)
ReplyDeleteGospel Jesus is a good example of it being ok to look for work on earth but not find it and go back to live with single dad as a single son. How come there is never a mom???
Bible relationships are more dicey than nicey at times I bet.
"you people make me sick"
ReplyDeleteThat's what gay jesus says about homophobes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Jesus Christ is going to return, and with the saints will restore the knowledge of God’s true way of life"
ReplyDeleteAnd when (or not) on Jesus return, will the homosexual still have the urge to "lay" with one of his/her's own sex? If so then logic dictates that Jesus cares not.
In reality, the "god" that the Armstrongists enjoy not, does not even exist. Their "god" is one of impotence, contradictions, and of a mind set for sadistic acts. How human!
Its like worshiping Charlie Manson without following him!
Well, as usual, I've got a different take on this! Thiel is making up with Uncle Roddy after their recent tift, and this is one topic on which they both enthusiastically agree. What better topic to support one another?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how the gay thing will all be worked out in the kingdom, but I know that most practicing Christians do look forward to any wrong desires they might have being corrected as their hearts complete the transformation and they become reconciled to the nature of God and Jesus Christ. Why should this be any different for gay people, and why should we expect more or less of them than we would anybody else who has unChristlike desires?
All have sinned. Why single out one particular category of sinner and blame all of the natural disasters on them? I'm guessing that if there were a nation or region where incest happened to be the dominant sin, the ACOGs would pretend not to notice.

Bob quotes LCG with this:
ReplyDelete"...Jesus Christ is going to return, and with the saints will restore the knowledge of God’s true way of life (see Isaiah 30:19-22; Acts 3:19-21)..."
Why is it that Bob Thiel, and LCG itself, like to mention verses, but seemingly turn a blind eye to what some of the verses actually say?
Bob Thiel, LCG, xcogs believe what Bob Thiel wrote there while quoting LCG and want us to believe that Christ/saints will soon return to restore (spank?) us to their ideas on truth.
Let's look at just one of those verses.
"For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee." Isaiah 30:19
Does that verse say anything about Christ? Saints?
What is the timing of that verse?
"...thou shalt weep no more..."
Weep no more? There is lots of weeping now. There will still be lots of weeping tomorrow. There will be lots of weeping AFTER Satan is loosed from that bottomless pit, AFTER the 1,000 years is completed, and Satan again successfully deceives the entire world ... and again war is learned is learned and practiced!
So when is it when it will be true that: "...thou shalt weep no more..."???????????????
After the second resurrection occurs! Huh? When will that weeping end? Does "...and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes..." ring bell?
"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." Revelation 7:17
That is for AFTER the second resurrection occurs, and therefore some time after Satan is loosed from that bottomless pit. Why should Christ return to earth to restore, spank, rule, do anything when all of the enemies haven't been subdued yet?
If the point isn't clear with that verse, how about this one?
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4
Why is Bob Thiel, those leaders of LCG, xcogs so ignorant of the verses they love to mention, but actually turn a blind eye to?
It's simple. God the Father has nothing to do with them. He has not planted them:
"But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up." Acts 15:13
Well, we could just say: "So what?"
And that's okay, fine, but might as well not turn a blind eye to the next verse which shows the fruits, the works, the results of those who think we should be so "spanked:"
:14 "Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
And they are their own witnesses that that verse is true, but as usual, and perhaps for most, .... time will tell.
John
No one has to worry about Jesus returning because "the end of all things is at hand" that was supposed to happen 1900 years ago didn't happen. They were wrong then and they're still wrong today.
ReplyDeleteThere may one day actually be a one world government - it won't be Jesus Christ's but it probably will rule with a rod of iron.
