Dave wants to know if you sit around all day meditating on what it will be like to sit at
Can you imagine what it would be like when you walk in front of the throne of
How often do you actively, consciously, think about ruling with Christ—actually sitting on a throne reigning over nations? How much do you think about the process of qualifying for rulership? Are you connecting this to properly ruling all areas of your life now? Do you often—or ever—meditate on whether God is truly ruling you? Do you periodically remind yourself that you are in training to be a TEACHER?
Armstrongites will be in the Kingdom?
ReplyDeleteThat's a shock.
"Can you imagine what it would be like when you walk in front of the throne of...Christ, and sitting next to him is some COG butt-wipe that was a sicko wife-beater, and being informed by...Christ that he was going to let this guy judge you. You went through the tribulation just so this ass could judge you, lucky you!"
ReplyDeleteThis might be one of the most indicting statements ever printed about the Armstrong movement, and it's spot-on. So absurd.
Do I want to be judged by some Armstrongite sitting next to Jesus? No. HELL no.
There really is a kingdom?
ReplyDeleteThat's a shock.
I never bought into the kings and rulers and priests thingie. Just wanted to be a regular guy doing "normal" things!
ReplyDeleteBB
this is so typical....they constantly apply the physical to the spiritual....
ReplyDeletethey think about 'ruling' because they crave power now...
I can't tell you the number of times I've heard "we must learn all we can now because we'll need it in order to rule in the kingdom"....
I have news for them....if we make it into the kingdom, we won't remember anything about this life.
Positive proof the butt wipe reads here! He's basing some of his missives on our comments. About a week ago, I posted some advice to people trapped in the worst and most draconian of the ACOGs that they'd better do their own due diligence because, "Your minister will not be standing next to you as a kind of advocate or attorney on judgment day". And, of course, this is Davey coming back and saying yes, he will.
ReplyDeleteFortunately, the Bible agrees with me. Jesus is our intercessor not some lame ACOG dictator. Sorry, Dave, you have no standing in that court, and you will not be allowed to insert yourself! So, blow it out your butt!

Sociopath Pack reminds me of the attitude of the character "KHAN" from the Star Trek series. Pack under questioning from Kirk and Spock, would respond as follows... (with only slight changes from the original script)
ReplyDelete(After dinner, as liqueurs are being served.)
KIRK: Forgive my curiosity, Mister Pack ,but my officers are anxious to know more about your extraordinary journey.
SPOCK: And how you managed to keep your sullied past reputation out of the history books.
PACK: Adventure, Captain. Adventure. There was little else left in the COG.
SPOCK: There was an internal and external church effort to end tyranny. Many considered that a noble effort.
PACK: Tyranny, sir? Or an attempt to unify the Church?
SPOCK: Unify, sir? Like a team of animals under one whip?
PACK: I know something of those years. Remember, it was a time of great dreams, of great aspiration.
SPOCK: Under dozens of petty dictatorships.
PACK: One man, like me, would have ruled eventually. As Rome under Caesar. Think of its accomplishments. Haggai predicted it.
SPOCK: Then your sympathies were with...
PACK: You are an excellent tactician, Captain. You let your second in command attack while you sit and watch for weakness.
KIRK: You have a tendency to express ideas in military terms, Mister Pack. This is a social occasion.
PACK: It has been said that social occasions are only warfare concealed. Many prefer it more honest, more open.
KIRK: You fled, Meredith, Tkach, Why? Were you afraid?
PACK: I've never been afraid.
KIRK: But you left at the very time the church needed courage and true Christian humility.
PACK: I offered the Church ORDER! (fist hits table)
KIRK: "I" ???
PACK: Excellent. Captain, Excellent. But if you will excuse me, gentlemen and ladies, I grow fatigued again. Captain, I will return to my Wadsworth headquarters now.
(Kirk stands, and Pack leaves.)

PS- Beware of when Pack takes over your brain by putting those little critters in your ear like Khan did in the movie sequel " THE WRATH OF PACK...err KHAN!"
God does NOT rule us! We either rule ourselves or each other.
ReplyDeleteOnly a psychopath would try to rule God.
If you are a powermad person, or lusting for authority over others while at the same time being paranoid of others having power over you, then you CAN be just like Dave Pack!. Dave Pack offers all of us the awesome oppurtunity of kissing his ass while he brownnoses God for his sake and maybe even ours. Amazing!
God DOES NOT rule us! God has given humanity freedom in a way that no other human ever could. Freedom is everything and Loves is all the rest. You can never truly learn to love if you are never truly free to do so.

By the way, good reframe Joe!
