E. W. King Also Claiming Zechariah Knowledge

E.W. King has now stepped into the Zechariah fray.  Of course he alone has the correct interpretation.

When will this dick wagging by the various COG's concerning Zechariah stop?  The simple truth is - who really gives a rats ass!  Most COG members could care less.

King writes:

Imagine, the prophet Zechariah was given a vision in which he saw a “flying scroll”. This was not just any scroll. This scroll was “open” and contained judgments. Most biblical scholars admit that this passage is “difficult to interpret” but they do agree that it is a judgment on Babylon [“the land of Shinar”]. Shinar was the region containing Babel, modern Iraq, Akkad, and Calneh. So the message was spread out. Today we understand that Zechariah was shown the Seven Sealed Scroll mentioned in Revelation 5:1. Jesus Christ was shown in vision to receive this sealed scroll and to begin to “unseal” it for His church to understand.

Those of you who have studied this revelation know that Jesus Christ breaks open the “seven seals” on the scroll and begins to reveal what happens on earth at the final disclosure of each of the seals revelations. How does this prophecy come down to God’s church today? Zechariah saw it come from the sky. Listen to these other clues that God has “sprinkled” throughout His word to help us understand how it comes to us.

“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain [former understanding], and the latter rain [latter understanding] in the first month.” - Joel 2:23

  1. Who really gives a rat's ass indeed. Regular members who haven't given up on Armstrongism already are still there because they believe it is still the only place where a man or woman can find god and establish a relationship with him.

The "dick-wagging" (lol) is all about mucky-mucks asking the question, "Who among us will be the greatest in the kingdom," (or will be in the kingdom at all). I think the gospels establish this to be a bad question to preoccupy oneself with. The regular members by and large don't care about the answers to these kinds of questions so long as it doesn't interfere with their likelihood of finding god. Unfortunately, the more closely you hew to official party line theology of Armstrongism, the more you will perceive that the answers to such (irrelevant) questions DO interfere with your likelihood of finding god.

In reality, it's all political wrangling that ought not speak to the concerns of regular members at all.

  2. There is a parallel world to Armstrongism, that of the Messianic Jew. It is often interesting to check in with one of the chief representatives of MJ, Michael Rood, who speaks of the same Armstrongian subjects, in a unique and humorous way. Michael also has some things to share about Zechariah's flying scroll, and surprisingly, it actually does relate to the ACOGs and their ministers! Of course, they are not going to like it, but the flying scroll destroys those who speak falsely in the name of God. In other words, people who make prophecies, signing them in Jesus' name, and the prophecies end up being false witness used to extort donations from the sheep!

Give this a read. I don't know how to set it up as a link, but type: www.wwyd.org/prophecy/rood_ZechScrolls.htm

  4. Perhaps these clowns, Flurry, King and Malm will someday unlock the key to the New Testament and the Sermon on the Mount, or Plain depending on which version you read...

  5. Rood is a total asshole.

Might as well "check in" with one of the Christian prophecy-spewing assholes on the Daystar TV network!

  6. Of course he is, anon 1:28! But unlike the native Armstrong ones, he's funny as hell! What, did you think I was touting him as a new guru or something?
