E.W. King's impotent jesus was not able to keep his church together in 1996 and it splintered off into hundreds of splinter groups. What an impotent little god he turned out to be!
In many ways, those who truly have
loved the “one church” that Jesus Christ built have been robbed. We have
in many ways been robbed by our own brethren [offshoot, splinter & sliver groups].
They have hijacked the WCG…they have created confusion rooted in
egotism. They have tried to change the name of God’s one true church.
They have placed themselves in a false “seat of authority” to try to get
listeners. They are trying to get in “some other way”. Sad…so sad.
The only church which has the true
“open door” is the Philadelphia, Worldwide Church of God. Jesus promises
all who enter correctly: “But he that entereth in by the door is the
shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his
voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And
when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep
follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not
follow [false splinter groups], but will flee from him: for they know
not the voice of strangers.” [John 10:1-5]
Never fear though. Jesus found his way back and is now part of a little teeny-tiny splinter cult up in the mountains. Less than 100 people is all that this wimpy jesus is returning to.
So again, please understand, this true
“door” has been opened for us right after Jesus Christ applied His
blood to the Mercy Seat in heaven. Though this door has been open since
the resurrection of Jesus Christ it is now broadcasted again loudly
through the 6th church, that of Philadelphia. Only through
this final true Church of God will this door of redemption remain open
till the “daily” is taken away. Please understand, the Worldwide Church
of God through the ministry of COGSR is this Philadelphia church….no other! [Revelation 3:7-13] Jesus has opened a door to his remnant in the 6th era of Philadelphia and it will remain open through the Laodicean era. Come out of Laodicea and back in while the door is still opened.
And for those who entereth this Door,

On King's home page there's a side-by-side goofy photoshopped picture of E.W. King & H.W. Armstrong. The file name is twochosen1.
ReplyDeleteToo. Damn. Funny!
Also, see the chosen1's little disclaimer just below the two apostle's picture.
ReplyDeleteCould it be alluding to this website?
LMAO!
The obvious conclusion would seem to be that Armstrongism was man-made, and not under any special guidance or protection from Father God, or Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteNone of these guys ever seem to consider Gamaliel as they ponder what has happened to their church.

Is anyone "under any special guidance or protection from Father God or Jesus Christ"?
ReplyDeleteI don't see any evidence of that. However, I see a lot of evidence against that idea.
Off-topic but interesting: cover the bottom half of the portrait at the top of this post. What is the gender of those eyes?
ReplyDeleteYou will note the same trait in many "Jesus" portraits.
RP: It is interesting that we were taught that nobody knew what Jesus looked like, that that had been lost. Eusebius indicated that it was quite well known what Peter and Paul looked like in his day, as there had been both descriptions and portraits. It wouldn't be that unusual to learn that the same was true of Jesus. I've encountered one theory that our pictures of Jesus today are based on the image left on the shroud of Turin, but there are many theories surrounding that fabric which I'm not sure can be relied upon.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest things WCG had against the alleged portraits were the longer hair (some call this the Galilean hairstyle), the so-called effeminacy (shared by other early "masters", particularly the East Indian ones), and the "non-Jewish appearance (many Jews of today are not readily recognizable as such). With Armstrongism, one learned that reflexively going against the mainstream was nearly always the correct path, often despite the facts.

Didn't Jesus say that he would be with us, even to the end of the age? If so, how can he abandon the (his)church? He can spew out of his mouth those who profess to be his people, the Laodecians, but not those who truly believe.
