David C. Pack: My god Is Going To Need A New House To Live In When It Comes To Wadsworth. Send In Your Money So I Can Build God's House

Here is the change Dave has needed to fund his new mini-me auditorium in Wadsworth.  Dave's auditorium will be the smallest one ever built by a COG. I am sure his god will really be pleased that Gerald Flurry has a better quality and larger building than what Dave plans on building.

Since Christ was going to dwell with Israel and lead them personally by a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night, He would need His own tent. The people lived in tents and so would God as an “inhabitant” of the camp. Think of the last six chapters of Exodus as outlining the kind of tent (tabernacle) that He wanted for Himself. Have you ever thought of God’s Old Testament tabernacle in the wilderness this way?

  1. Does anyone recall anything which would have suggested that God came to live in the house HWA allegedly built for Him on the AC'dena campus? Were there ever any special blessings? I attended sabbath services there and never felt any special vibes. Seemed like just another building to me.

I think the whole "house for God" thing was largely symbolic, just so much more marketing on HWA's part. Is anything special or supernatural going on in Flurry's cookie cutter auditorium? Frankly, the only building in which I ever heard of anything spiritual going on was the AC gym. Some of the student workers in the laundry. there thought the place was haunted. Weird noises, basketballs suddenly bouncing around without humans present, voices, etc.

Why would Dave expect Godly phenomena in his buildings when there never was corresponding phenomena in those erected by his idol?

  2. The JWs built a house in San Diego, at 4440 Braeburn Rd. The purpose was to have a place for the patriachs when they return. Abraham, Issac, Joseph, would all be housemates, like a fraternity house. Until they returned,Judge Rutherford, the head of the JWs lived there. At least this building was an asset that the church could later sell, unlike an auditorium too small for any practical use and too far out in the sticks.

  5. Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made with hands; as the prophet says, `Heaven is my throne, and earth my footstool. What house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest? Did not my hand make all these things?'" (Acts 7:44-50)
