To Preserve The Sanctity of Marriage, James Malm Says, If A Man Sleeps With His Fiancee, She Is To Be Beaten While The Man Only Has To Give A Sacrifice

James Malm says:

If one lies with his betrothed, she shall be scourged, but not killed because she was forced; and the man shall bring a sacrifice for his sin.   Thus showing the sanctity of marriage that even the betrothed may not indulge themselves.

19:20 And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.  19:21 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering. 19:22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
So lets get this straight. In order to preserve the sanctity of marriage, James Malm says that you must beat the woman half to death if she has sexual relations with the man.

As usual in patriarchal dominions, it is the woman that is at fault.  The poor man was deceived by the women so he only has to kill a goat.  The woman however is an evil temptress who was used by Satan to deceive and corrupt the once pure man, therefore, beat the evil out of her.'

So what brought about Malm's anger?  Oral sex!  Though for some reason he says it is the man's fault that women have oral sex.  They are deceived by the men in the Church of God into giving oral sex before marriage in order to remain a virgin who has not been penetrated.

I have heard of many cases within the COG Groups where women have been convinced by their men friends that oral or manual sex is not really sex, and they then do this, thinking themselves to still be virgins.

I have news for you, Bill Clinton was wrong.  ANY kind of behavior that is intended to produce any type of sexual activity between unmarried persons is pornea, that is, such activity is forbidden!  And anyone who performs such activity is no longer a virgin in the emotional and spiritual sense.

Spiritually we are to remain BOTH physical and spiritual virgins until lawful marriage.  This also has its spiritual application!  We are NOT to try  get as close as we can to paganism without actually worshipping the idol!  We are not to study and involve ourselves in doing or believing as the pagans do.
It is clearly obvious as to why Malm's wife left him.

  1. Actually, that sounds fairly Biblical.

Jimmy Malm seems to have a penchant for saying we must follow the Bible's nutty bits.

  2. Well, I don't know. It seems oddly specific, doesn't it?

I suppose it depends on who happens to be into what. I think it's okay if she's into that sort of thing. What if it's the other way around? Or what if both of them are into it, is it okay if the man wants to be beaten as well?

Of course, that begs the question, what has the poor goat got to do with any of this?

Is the man supposed to do anything else with sheep or goat before sacrificing it? I don't know what people in Canaan back then tended to be into or thought was normal.

I, myself, don't happen to be into either of these things, and I'm wondering if in that case it's okay to not bother with any of this stuff?

  3. In today's society, if anyone attempted to practice such Old Covenant law, here's what would happen in most states in the USA:

1). Hearing the beating being administered, neighbors or other bystanders would call the police. The one administering the beating would be arrested and charged with a crime. He would lose his Second Amendment rights automatically, serve jail time, followed by lengthy probation, and would be required to attend anger management classes.

2). Assuming the sex was consensual, neither of the first parties would be charged with any crime. There is the possibility of statutory rape being charged if the woman were under age. If a conviction resulted, the man would be labeled as a sex offender, and would be required to register as such wherever he might move for the rest of his life. If the sex was not consensual, appropriate charges would be filed.

3). Slavery being illegal in all civilized countries, if the woman had actually been enslaved, appropriate charges would be filed to cover that.

4). Any man sacrificing a ram would be arrested on suspicion of violating animal cruelty laws. The incident would no doubt make the international media, and PETA would be picketing and protesting at the man's home, and probably at his place of employment and his church.

For those who would counter that they ought to obey God rather than man, there is an incredible document called the "New Testament". One of the chief contributors to this anthology, St. Paul, has outlined the role of civil authorities in our lives, and has stated in a book called "Romans" that these are God-ordained.

I have nothing negative to say about sexual purity. However, James Malm has actually made the entire concept appear ridiculous by attempting to support it using elements from a bronze age covenant which has been superceded by a better one. For the practical application of grace he should read Jesus treatment of the lady found in adultery.

PS. Why how absolutely Freudian! The psychedelic code text to prove I'm not a robot on this post reads "FRumers 63"

  4. Why is Malm analyzing Leviticus in terms of Greek words?

Instead of spending gobs of time and wasted pagespace going over obsolete, unenforceable laws and penalties that nobody worries about following anymore and everyone thinks the penalties attached are barbaric, why doesn't Malm spend a little time trying to figure out there was such a divine double-standard between what was permissible for men vs. women?

Malm's obsessive-compulsive focus on purity is pure, unadulterated pharisaism.

  5. Right on, Usher, and as society has largely abandonned the agrarian lifestyle which used to be a parallel to ancient times, the specifics of that legalism and phariseeism have become nearly impossible to practice.

  6. Does this mean that if a man sleeps with his goat while he's engaged, that his goat should be beaten and his fiancee sacrificed?
