Some followers of Herbert Armstrong have been so wrapped up in the prophecies of Armstrong, Flurry, Meredith and others, so much so, that they latch on to other false prophets who sound similar to Armstrongism.
William Tapley, The Third Eagle, is just one more in a long line of lying fools that some in Armstrongism promote to their friends. Many of these people are looking at the tribulation to begin in 2017. This is a date Theil, Meredith and others have thrown around. This is the same year that Tapley is predicting to be the start of the tribulation sometime between October 13 and November 29, 2017
This video is only 10 minutes long. It is worth listening to for the 10 minutes to hear the absurd things he says. Did you know the number 11 and 23 are evil? That condoms are the sign of the end times?
Not only are some of the Armstrongites fascinated by Tapley, they are also watching this guy who also predicts 2017:

Will Jesus return in 2017?
“Many have been talking about how Rabbi Judah ben Samuel supposedly made an amazing prophecy concerning the future of Jerusalem that already has three accurate fulfillments from 1517-1967. The prophecy further predicts the start of the ‘Messianic end time’ by 2017. Is the prophecy trustworthy?” Read Tim McHyde's analysis
In Christian theology God does not reveal anything to Rabbis or any other Jews because the Jews rejected Christ. End of story. The new Jewish prophecy must be of the devil.
ReplyDeleteI know stupid but now I know someone stupider than stupid!
ReplyDeleteSweet! Another kookaboo to help Armstrongites feel normal. Watch for some to cite Tarpley as an authority in their magazine articles.
ReplyDeleteDoes he say who the participants in the ongoing war might happen to be?

Peddling fear can be a profitable cottage industry. Tapley is not a former Armstrongist, but the marketplace for religious fear, is far larger than the very small COG universe.
ReplyDeleteThe financial industry is full of perpetual bears, who have made good money by being doom and gloomers. The likes of Howard Ruff, Marty Weiss, Robert Prechter and many others.
Alex Jones has a thriving following in the political arena with his radio program "Prison Planet". The topics are always dark, depressing and machiavellian.
The reason they exist is that the future is ALWAYS vague, and will have , no doubt, bad things happening , at least at some point. We know from history that tragedy, war and destruction DO happen.
It is an attempt to somehow "control" destiny. It is not an unusual thing to ponder about wanting to know the future. Problem is, is that it is a fools game. It is chasing the wind, and while you are busily fighting the last war, or battle in life, the next trial always come from a direction you never ever dreamed of.
Such is the way life is. Come to peace with this, live life in the present, and quit trying to control the future beyond just general sound wisdom purposes, and life becomes a lot more simpler and happier.
Even Jesus said in Matthew 6:34 "therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Truly sound words that Christians of any stripe should embrace, and in fact , excellent wisdom even for a non believer as well.
Your Friend,

This guy looks and sounds reasonable. Too bad he flushes that all down the drain when you listen to him for more than a few seconds. Talk about bat-shit insane.
ReplyDeleteThat's some weird stuff. I would like to know where he shot the video. The waterfall was far more interesting than him. Does anyone know where this fall is located?
ReplyDeleteHe chose that location next to a spillway so he could accurately claim, "My prophecies are more accurate by a dam site."
ReplyDeleteA little googling reveals Tapley lives in Forestport, NY, on the Black River.
ReplyDeleteJoe Moeller says, "therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Truly sound words that Christians of any stripe should embrace, and in fact , excellent wisdom even for a non believer as well."
ReplyDeleteYes, I do notice some words are from the Bible and some yours.
And I do agree, that whether the words are from the Bible, Quran, Book of Mormon, Dianetics, Bhagavad Gita, etc etc etc, there are nuggets of wisdom in all of them, no matter what one believes- of whatever stripe one is and beliefs or lack of beliefs related to to any and all of the many and varied teachings extant.
William Tapley fortunately has the Holy Spirit, which enables him to see penises almost everywhere he looks.
ReplyDeleteClick here for his expose of the Denver International Airport.
Did Tapley get baptized by Rod Meredith?

HWA also once predicted Christ's return in 2017 at the latest:
ReplyDelete"But by 1927 we had REACHED THE VERY GENERATION WHEN MAN'S 6,000 years cut off from God will be concluded. During this generation--within 60 to 90 years OR LESS--from 1927--CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN and RESTORE the GOVERNMENT OF GOD over the entire earth."
From co-worker letter Jan. 20, 1977.
60-90 years from 1927 would be 1987-2017…. Just saying.
