A Church of God Speaking to the Remnant acolyte, or Worldwide Church of God, or UFO Talker Church of God, Mountain Man Church of God, or whatever they call themselves, wants all who "hate" Eric King to know that they will think about all of King's truths as they lay dying on their death beds....apparently begging God's mercy for making fun of his prophet and TRUE church leader.
I would like to bring to the attention of all who visit here the following: There are many who hate God and hate Christians out there who attack Mr.E.W.King’s teachings. They show their ignorance through their sarcastic and hateful talk. When left on their death bed they will again think about what Eric said. Death seems to draw a person closer to God…funny how that works. We will all die. Some of us will have developed a humble relationship with the True God…others, who have continuously made fun of their Creator will “Nash their teeth”…they will truly feel and understand the pain of their wrongful decision.
Peace out
Here's one more hilarious tidbit from another acolyte that hates The Painful Truth site:
Another one writes:The guy that attacks on his “hate christian blog” called TPT said:
“Herbert Armstrong certainly had hubris, but we don’t have to recede into the past to find it:”
These types sit in the dark room and try and find every fault of anybody who claims to be christian. What about this guys issues? Is he and all the other God-haters perfect? this idiot needs to have his brain washed with the SWORD TRUTH’s powering out on Mr. KING’s mouth!
The guy who runs the “Painful Truth” blog is the COG’s nagging BITCH. He has such a ‘luv hate’ for God’s last day apostle, Mr. Armstrong. He spends his whole life like a nagging wife.
Quuuue straaange man
Such loving grace filled Christians............NOT!
Ronald Weinland made the same claims without much success and you can see where that ended.
ReplyDeleteWho?
ReplyDeleteOn my death bed, if my thoughts turn to any COG authoritarian at all, for any reason at all, which I certainly hope is not the case (if so, it certainly won't be for the purpose of acknowledging some amorphous, undefined "greatness"), those thoughts would be much more likely to turn to Ron Weinland than übernutjob E.W.! Senor King is so nutty he makes Ron Weinland appear almost legit by comparison. And until E.W. started up, I thought Ron Weinland was the nuttiest COG authoritarian there was.
ReplyDeleteOh boy. Here we go again! Now they are bashing James!
ReplyDeleteThere is no question that 1) Some of us, over the years, have confronted our anger, and gotten a great deal of it off our chests at Painful Truth, and 2) the site also contains a great deal of factual material which, if read with an open mind, debunks and diffuses the majority of the most offensive tenets of Armstrongism the ones that caused the anger in the first place.
People when they visit the site are going to either knowingly nod their heads as a smile spreads across their faces with the realization that they are not alone, or they will read a few sentences and conclude that all of the writers are bitter and blaspheming God's apostle.
I personally have tried to bring a great deal of balance and objectivity into my own contributions and articles on that site, although at times I also have indulged in sarcasm, and humor. Most of the other writers have also realized on one level or another that people visit The Painful Truth looking for answers. We're not about to deliberately act within the artificial stereotypes these people's ministers have constructed, because we know that that would scare them right back into their splinters, setting their journeys back possibly for years or decades. I will say that not everyone has always acted with the same type of restraint, but people are all different, and a broad-based approach provides a little something for everyone.
That site is the best, and most effective it has ever been! All of the talented editors or webmasters have put much effort into it. James has certainly worked very hard on it, and it shows!

And your help along with many others has made the site an information clearing house as to the WCG and the other cults.
Law enforcement, scholars, history buffs, anyone wanting useful information as to the movement and the people within have contacted us for various reasons. The website most likely has the answers anyone may be looking for.
As to Eric King and his "F Troop" brigade, they are stuck in Armstrong worship mode. But never fear. We have a place for them to worship Herbie here at the Painful Truth.

I will contact the author and have him put a light on in his office when he writes his next article.
Besides all kidding, its a shame that so many current members are suffering from Stockholm syndrome. They are held captive by false teachers who care nothing for them.
These are the people who have NOT the mind set of liberty and freedom. The human desire to be free to decide for themselves what is right or wrong.
Instead, they embraced a "king" to be over them. A "king" who unbeknown to them, has his own best interest in heart.
Like a politician, the religious leader seeks an audience of followers that grants him the power to rule over them.
1 Samuel 8: 4 So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. 5 They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead[b] us, such as all the other nations have.”
6 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods (Armstrong), so they are doing to you.
14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle[c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves.
Will the cult member heed this from his bible? No.
They honor God with their lips but their hearts are far removed from Him. It is after all, about personal security, fear of death, and the inability to use human logic over what is improbable.
They are slaves!
Hey all you pro Eric King supporters...
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you go write Gerald Flurry,"THAT PROPHET" >(NOT)<, and all the rest "Prophets" >(NOT)<, because they are all at odds with each other, each hating the other. They all worship Herbert W. Armstrong, but that's where their joint venture ends. NONE ARE CHRISTIAN (followers of Christ) and his teachings, as is obvious you are not either!
The Painful Truth is one of the most helpful sites extant regarding the evils and history of armstrongism. I check it several times a week and often go back to material I read years ago just to brush up on details. I don't agree with James on everything, especially politically, but I respect him and his efforts to expose this bizarre cultic hodge podge.

And that is what counts Al. We don't have to see eye to eye on everything and we still get along.
But if your an Armstrong cheerleader, well you can't disagree with them! No sir, the fearless fans rewrite history, deify Herbie and sing his accolades.
All they really have is that wanker hwa! Herbie is god to them.
