Norbert Link: You Are Required To Call Me "Mr."

I don't think Norbert would like being called Norbert while at church or at any other place.
The saying that “familiarity breeds contempt” must never be applicable to our conduct in Church services. This is one of the reasons why our speakers will generally refer to other brethren as Mr. and Mrs., when addressing them publically, rather than using their first names. Church services ARE FORMAL WORSHIP services, in dedication to God and in fellowship with His holy people, and all of us must always keep this in mind throughout the entirety of the service.  Norbert Link

I remember one arrogant man who was ordained a deacon and the next day he came to work told everyone to call him Mr.   Everyone look at him and laughed and said, "Sure thing, Don."

Sure thing, Norbert!

  1. The proper title of respect for Armstrongist ministers is "False Prophet".

"False Apostle" also works in some cases.

  2. Well... if that is the case then why are they not using the following when talking about Bible Characters...

    Mr. Peter

    Mr. John The Baptist

    Mr. Jesus Christ

    etc.

    Inquiring minds need to know!

  3. Joe Moeller, you are my hero!
I once heard in a sermon the command to call the minister MR. or else!
And that we owed that respect to Mr. Armstrong. In the next breath he stated that "Paul" would approve.
    No Mr. Paul.
    Talk about hypocrisy.

  4. I always insisted that people call me Mr. A. Dick, but they just called me A. Dick instead. Never could figure it out.

  5. I guess we would call the late WCG minister Bill McDowell, "Mr. Bill".

"I will rip your arm off"

    "Oh no, Mr. Bill!!"

P.S. What the heck is a Norbert Link anyway?

  6. Do you think there's a relationship between the large portrait of Herbie hanging at UCG's headquarters and the UCG members calling Herbie "Mr. Armstrong"?

No wonder those brainwashed people don't call him "Mr. Pedophile"!

  7. There is no Mr. Peter, Mr. Paul, or Mr. Jesus. Everyone was on a first name basis. The Mr. stuff is not biblical.
