Bitter Bob Thiel is racking up the anti-LCG comments big time lately. Nothing that LCG can do seems to please Bitter Bob. Even terminally ill children cannot break through the bitterness that clings to Bob's heart.
Speaking of its announcements, earlier this month LCG said it would "be working with Ronald McDonald House to prepare and serve a large dinner for parents and families of children who are hospitalized with serious medical conditions."Bitter Bob chimes in:
While working with the sick is encourged, I do not believe that promoting some of the public relations' objectives of a company in the fast-food industry, such as McDonalds, is the proper way to do that.
God forbid if a COG group served food for sick children and their families! Those children are sick because of the sins of their parents and themselves. If they were in the TRUE Church of God i.e the improperly named Continuing Church of God then they would not be sick. Naturopath Bitter Bob would sell them holistic remedies to cure their cancer and then lead them out of sin.
On a side note:
The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House is in the Worldwide Church of God home that John Kennedy lived in when he was in Pasadena.
Dear Bob:
ReplyDeleteWhoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us
Mark 9-
38“Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”
39“Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40for whoever is not against us is for us. 41Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.
NUFF SAID!
I don't see anything wrong with helping kids with cancer at Ronald McDonald House. Most mainstream Christians might investigate to see if a corporation was involved in abortion, or was "gay friendly", or in extreme cases, involved in promoting stem cell research. But, Thiel doesn't do that, instead he measures the organization by the traditional Armstrong measuring stick, which elliminates virtually all non-ACOG charities, and promotes the cloistered, selfish approach of assisting nobody but those in the church, most likely only those in the ACOG splinter of your personal choice, as all others are perceived as wrong in some critical way, or (gasp!) Laodecean.
ReplyDeleteI believe in encouraging and helping groups and people whose scales are balanced overall towards good. If you restrict your help to those who are 100% true or correct, you will never be helping anyone. That criteria just becomes another rationale or excuse for turning a blind, uncompassionate eye towards others. Wasn't that one of the sins of the Pharisees?

I like the moniker "Bitter Bob" I hope it sticks to him forever. I wonder when he'll catch on that no one cares what he thinks about how others express their faith, kindness, compassion or application of scripture.
ReplyDeleteBob, if you are reading here, you are a foolish fake
I like that moniker, too, Dennis! I just hope he doesn't begin signing his posts "BB"
ReplyDeleteLOL

BB we'd know BB is BB and not you BB.

They don't get it. If they treated others as Jesus taught His disciples to do, people would be more readily teachable.
ReplyDeleteIf you are ever hungry, thirsty or just need real encouragement, be sure to how Bitter Bob your church membership credentials first or you will be out of luck.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Pack and Thiel, "Christ" only meant to take care of the faithful. Screw the gentiles and other unworthy types.
"I was in prison and you visited me.." only applies to the brethren and Ron Weinland
"be sure to show Bitter Bob your church credentials.."
ReplyDelete"be sure to show Bitter Bob your church credentials.."
ReplyDeletewhy do I get so angry when I read this stuff. Is it because I was a single mother and found McDonalds a relaxing place to take my children who played in the inside safe playground while I drank a cup of coffee. Plus I could buy them a "happy meal" in a box with a toy, it was affordable and they didn't have to be quiet, and they ate it without nagging.
ReplyDeleteOf course I made sure to feed them more healthy food at home, but McDonalds has a place and is enjoyed by all cultures.
Then this company loved by children even opens houses for sick children and their families.
All some stupid church can do is say things like sin causes cancer and if it wasn't the childrens it was their parents......so nasty. The fact that small children get cancer proves to me that cancer is mostly random and unlucky, not caused by what we eat or do.
and Byker Bob forget the stuff about corporations being involved in abortion or gay friendly or stem cell research. What a bunch of hypocritical judgmental people christians are, no wonder most of us want nothing to do with them.
Wow. The fact that you can't let go of your anger and you spend so much time researching the church groups including Bitter Bod, shows your bitterness. Wouldn't it be better to pray for them then berate them. By the way I found this article googling "how do children lose faith". Weird eh?
