James Malm In Financial Straits AGAIN...........

The Chief Pharisee of the Churches of God is having huge financial issues keeping up with the cost of his web site.

He writes:

Today I need to announce that we are in serious financial need after paying for our websites this May.
Then in the grand tradition of Herbert Armstrong and David C Pack, Malm resorts to subliminal intimidation by reminding them that Pentecost is coming up and that as TRUE COG members they are required to give an offering.  Malm want sot make it CLEAR that he is not trying to browbeat anyone into giving him money,  BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT offerings reqired on Pentecost and guess where they need to send that money!

God commands that at the Feast of First Fruits [Pentecost] an offering should be made. I am not going to try and browbeat anyone on this, only to make the need known.  Mailing addresses including US tax deductible information are at the DONATIONS page.  Links to the Donations page are at the top of the site, or at the Pages section on the right hand side bar.  Contributions sent via Paypal are NOT tax deductible.

Send it all in brethren!  Since it is God's money anyway and Malm is the only true mouthpiece for God then he deserves to have it all!

  1. Well, the only first fruits growing on my land are an armful of crabapples and yew berries. Let me know where you want those shipped.

  2. As a businessman, I hope that I never get into a position where my services are of so little value to my clients that I need to tell others about my financial straits and beg for their assistance.

These guys should take a lesson from the Mormon bicycle missionaries, who provide their church's brand of teaching and counsel, and simply live from whatever the people whom they visit volunteer.

John Trechak largely self-funded Ambassador Reports for nearly 25 years, and never beat anyone over the head for donations. He would accept them from time to time, but often consumed his own resources in trying to help others.

What Malm and others are really saying is, "I want to be grand poobah apostle or prophet, but it's going to be on your dime!". The whole lot of them should study George Muller rather than HWA.

  3. Malm in a financial strait??

A better idea would be Malm in a STRAIT JACKET!

  4. Go back in Malm's archives and see if you can still find his previous condemnations of money-grubbing group leaders.

    Pot
    Kettle
    Black

It seems that Armstrongism, if left untreated, leads to certain very predictable outcomes. Bob Thiel and James Malm are simply the latest examples of an ongoing phenomenon.

Where did you get this idea? All the Mormon missionaries I am aware of are funded by the Mormon church. In communities with an existing Mormon presence. they'll typically stay with Mormon families in the area, or they will crowd into simple apartments paid for by their church or their parents.

One thing the Mormon missionaries absolutely DO NOT DO is take money from the people they are trying to convert. At least I have never known of them doing so.

  6. OMG. I went to Malm's site to see if his donation solicitation post was still parked.

And he has a new "frontier" skin, which he has apparently worked "very hard" to figure out how to invoke with his automated site-builder. It looks clunky as hell.

    Anyway, I enjoyed this:

"Events are now beginning to move quickly"

If I could count the number of times I've heard that. You would think events would be moving at nearly the speed of light by now!

  7. Malm sounds exactly like HWA did when he conned people out of money and that's where Malm got his tactics, if it doesn't work enough his next comments will be stronger and threats will be lake of fire if you don't tithe. These crooks are all the same.

  8. Hi, can anyone advise why donations via Paypal are not tax-deductible? Surely money is money? Thanks.

  9. I believe that the contributions to James Malm are not deductible because he lives in Canada and would have to have some sort of presence in the United States to qualify for tax exemption status.

    But I could be wrong.

Nevertheless, if he had faith as a mustard seed... but all he seems to have is enough money to buy mustard as a condiment.

  10. One time Malm boasted that his non-tax-deductible status meant he could not be compromised and was above reproach. Then, some guy incorporates in Oregon as a tax-deductible Malm money-gatherer and Malm is thrilled. Malm: when it comes to money, the hell with integrity.

I thought this is a MAJOR SIN to get yourself into this situation, according to >THE CHURCH<.
