Ron Weinland Minister Claims God's Prophet Laura Spearheading the Church Because Ron Is Unjustly Accused

The craziness in Ron Weinland's rapidly dwindling splinter cult continues unabated.  Mike's  Dont Drink the Flavor Aid Served By False Prophets has an entry up today quoting one of Ron's ministers, Jim Jamieson, who is claiming Ron is "falsely accused" despite being found guilty by a jury with mountains of evidence.  Sometimes I think people are deliberately blinded to reality.

Look at the two witnesses, God’s two prophets at this time, just not only what they’ve gone through since the Apostasy and how God built courage in them and courage to, you know…”No, I’m not here for a paycheck. I’m here to obey God,” and to walk away from that, and beginning this, starting this end-time work. Look at where we’re at right now. One of, you know, God’s prophets sitting falsely accused in prison, and then his wife, the prophet of God is, you know, out there spearheading this Church and carrying it on and doing the administration and being able to get up in front of congregations as she visits and update all of us and keep us updated on Ron and whatnot. And you know, just the courage that’s there with both of them. And, you know, we need to pray for not only God’s two witnesses, to give them Godly courage, but for each and every one of us, you know. How has God prepared us with Godly courage for what is ahead, you know? And He has, and we might not realize it, but the trials we go through and overcome, well, we learn that, you know, to trust in God and have that Godly courage.   Falsely Accused of Godly Courage

  2. God's two witnesses? What a joke.

Yea, how does it feel to be falsely accused. They do it all the time in Flurry's cult.

As I recall Flurry considered himself falsely accused after being found slumped over in his car with empty beer cans, slobbering drunk then taken to jail.
He must not have come clean with the PCG members because when I first began attending, I asked a long time member if Flurry was arrested. She answered an adamant "NO!"
That woman ran around looking half crazed to me. She had a lot of strange quirks. Her son Shane is right up there with Gerald Flurry. Part of the hierarchy. Shane was one of my son's on line teachers. He called me up ACCUSING my son of cheating. Shane thought I was typing my son's papers. I told him no, he is typing them himself.
I guess he couldn't believe it because all the students at >headquarters< must not have been that typing literate at 12/13.
I even told him that I would put the camera on the keys at my home and he could see my son typing. Shane declined. I still to this day think he did not believe me.
All my behind the scenes slander began with that wimp BRIAN DAVIS, a Regional Director. He was slandering me to ministers and members, all to make me out to be some trouble-maker because it was HIM, BRIAN DAVIS that cost the PCG $hundreds of thousands of dollars$ to clear the church after BRIAN DAVIS told me to divorce my now X husband.

Looks like the only way the >false prophets< get disfellowshipped temporarily is when the cops do it.

They are all ASSHOLES to me!

  3. Weinland more accurately should have said:

..."sitting falsely accused in prison, and then his wife, the prophet of God is, you know, out there SPEARING this Church"

  4. People become involved in and remain in Armstrongism not because of logic, or some sort of higher education, but because for some reason, it's what they want to do. In the end, the lifestyle becomes a Linus blanket, something of which turning loose would cause great anxieties in their lives. It is much easier to maintain a vigorous regime of self-deception than to shed the blanket. Read transcripts, yet still believe your bogus apostle was falsely accused and convicted. Witness failed prophecy, but make illogical adjustments in your mind so that it seems that the prophecies did not really fail. Evidence and due process are of no importance. Semantics and Orwellian double speak are important tools of the trade. Propping up and maintaining the belief system is the only thing that counts.

Armstrongism has always largely been based upon the ends justifying the means, and circular reasoning. That is part of the mental reprogramming.

  5. It just seems to me that "Thou shalt not bear false witness" is part of the Ten Commandments that the Churches of God claim that they keep. I might be mistaken. Is "Thou shalt not bear false witness" even in the Bible? Can someone (preferably an Armstrongist, since absolutely no one else would have ANY credibility whatsoever) please give the chapter and verse on this if it is in Scripture -- assuming of course that any Armstrongist knows one thing about the Bible?

Jim Jamieson has just committed slander against the United States government and tacitly accused the jury of Weinland peers that they rendered an unfair and illegal decision. Where do these people get away with this scrap?

Again, I don't know much (and the Armstrongists are just sure that I can't possibly know one thing about the Truth -- Truth they define out of lies, deceptions, bad science, bad math and defiance of laws and logic), but it just seems to me that Revelation 22:15, where it says, "For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie" condemns Jim Jamieson and Ronald Weinland to eternal death, but what do I know.

When you need an excuse, any excuse will do.

Jim I've known you and your parents. They must really be ashamed of you.

    I know I am.

  6. My impression is that the reason why people come to and remain in Armstrongism is, exactly as you've said, a Linus Security Blanket. Armstrongism has always been sold on the basis that it represents safety. Gloom, doom, tribulation, apocalypse, and judgment are always brewing on the horizon, and Armstrongism is the safe harbor in which you can weather the storm and come out on top in the end. To leave represents increases in risk, and uncertainty, which for the overly anxious personality, are unacceptable and intolerable.

  7. Anyone who would be a "minister" under Ron Weinland is an idiot to begin with, so it can only go downhill from there.

Brian Davis: Is anyone else tired of hearing the same old thing about him over and over and over? Can we please move on?

  8. Unjustly accused? NO. Unjustly convicted? NO. Ron Weinland is right where he belongs - behind bars. The only thing unjust about it is that he is not going to be there long enough and others of his ilk are not in there with him.
