It's a simple request...James Malm

James Malm said:  "It appears that the Scarborough’s really had no case after all, and this seems to have been egged on and even orchestrated if not by Dennis Diehl himself  [a former elder fired from WCG and now seemingly full of bitterness against anything associated with the COG],  then by the inveterate liars at the anti God website Banned by HWA."

I asked and James said.....
  1. Nothing in your comment is true or accurate. So make peace my friend and take the reference out. You don’t want the BannedHWA blog owner on you with 4000 COG hits a day wanting you to correct it
James said : "So I am to believe you? and cower before your threats? Your close association with an egregious liar deprives you of any and all credibility. No one can believe a word you say. I have been regularly lied about by the Banned folks for years as have many others, and you tough guys are now attacking an old lady with a pack of lies, and I should care about your threats?

Either you have a very thin skin for people who make a career out of attacking others; or I have hit too close to the mark for your comfort. James"
  2.  It is not about thin skin or "bitterness" either. I don't consider myself bitter about anything but rather educated as to why I no longer take the positions concerning church, the  Bible and  The One Man Show I used to take in my naive and good intentioned youth and Church years.
  3. It is about a published inaccurate statement that I would like corrected.  Anyone would ask the same thing.  That's not asking a whole lot.  Perhaps Ms. Scarborough would like to answer the question as to ever having known or been in contact with me over this issue.
  4. Also, I am sorry you feel anyone is picking on an "old lady".  Family members are the source of the concerns and no one is making it up.  If what they say is not so, then have a chat with them and ask them, not us, why they feel as they feel. And, if what they say is inaccurate, then ask them to correct it and explain why.  Simple...
  5. Also, the good folk at Banned HWA are not making a career of attacking others.  Others bring it on themselves with their outlandish theological ideas, opinions, callings, silliness and narcissistic behaviors that hurt many other good folk who for whatever reasons can't see the forest for their ministerial trees.  Noticing the crazy behaviors and written statements of belief is not attacking.  It is noticing and standing up to it which is something their members don't seem to have the ability or the energy to do.
  6. Banned is a way for those who see what we have seen and feel what we have felt about our own experiences and conclusions without judgment or even have to reveal who they are or their affiliation.  4000 views a day must mean something here is of interest to not a few.
  7. Perhaps you could list the specific areas where you feel others have lied about you and show why others are being unfair or inaccurate in their observations about your publicly printed views.  After all, if you are going to declare yourself and have others declare you the expert on all things Bible, you may find others taking issue with that from time to time.
  8. I am sure if you feel you have been deeply wronged, misunderstood or lied about, you could clarify that on this site if you wished rather than use your own hurts to justify not correcting a simple matter when you are proven wrong and giving out misinformation.  You have not hit close to home. You missed completely.
  9. You chose to post your response to my simple private request publicly on your website, so you'll have to forgive me if I post mine here.
Regards
Dennis

  2. There are two types of Armstrongites, Dennis. The ones who are witnessing things in their churches that are now causing them to look for more satisfying solutions and answers, and the stalwarts who believe they already have the answers.

Type one, we can have pleasant, mutual, two way conversations with. Type two think of themselves as being the arbiters of truth, and the only ones who tell the truth. You can have nice conversations with type two about such topics as the weather, until it comes to cloud cover in Jerusalem and the new moon.

  6. Malm is too embarrassed now to do what is right and will leave it up. Humility is not one of his strong points. Uber law keepers usually end up being liars. Even though it is an impossibly that they keep the entire law, they will lie an say they do. If they lie about that you can be sure they will lie about everything else.

  7. The fire from heaven comment is on the Malm & Bell thread. Someone calling herself "Connie" (not our Connie) said Malm was God's only prophet teaching the law, and would call down fire from heaven on anyone who mocked him. Obviously, both RSK and I are still alive, so either Malm is out of chemicals, or Constance isn't Connie.

  8. Not only do people here know that Malm is a liar, but even Bob Thiel calls him a liar:

"James Malm, an independent internet poster and leader/owner of the Shining Light blog, is now apparently trying to suggest that he is doing an Elijah-type work. This is despite that fact that he historically has also been making inaccurate statements about prophecies, people, and organizations."

"Since James Malm’s focus seems to be on criticizing COG groups, he seems to be hinting that he is doing an Elijah-like work. He is not."

"ames Malm, to the best of my knowledge, has never been in high level meetings in LCG or UCG or COGWA (the three largest COGs). If so, he would realize that what he often implies about COG groups is simply not true. While it is true that COG groups will not accept James Malm’s prophetic misunderstandings and inaccurate accusations, it should be noted that COG groups do examine their own prophetic understandings and make modifications. Having attended numerous meetings at LCG’s HQ in Charlotte, I can state that certain of James Malm’s assertions as related to LCG are false. James Malm’s contention that all the groups will reject the two witnesses and claim one or both is crazy is in error–and on this particular point, I base it upon meetings I had in Charlotte last month.

James Malm somewhat seems to be suggesting that the COG groups will not be in God’s Kingdom because he says that they will not accept the Elijah to come. He really needs to be more careful about what he posts.

If in later parts of this apparent series James wishes to further indicate that he is somehow doing an Elijah-type work, he should hopefully prevent himself from going further on this, because he is not doing an Elijah-type work. James Malm is doing an error-ridden work that he should repent of."

  10. Malm approves of Doug Winnails 'Are You a Peacemaker" article. In a planet of billions of people with conflicting desires, how are these differences resolved. By ownership of course. By respecting borders and boundaries. By relating to others through trade, mutual consent for mutual gain.
But no, Doug like HWA, teach the war mongering way of 'give.' Since no one wants to give, but rather get, this means ongoing fighting within the churches.
If Doug was serious about peace, he would teach respect for rights (a taboo in the churches) respect for self interest, respect for profit, respect for trade.
The parasites and leeches don't like my posts. Surprise, surprise.

    Cheers TradingGuy

  11. Well except they like having Revelation Jesus like qualities. They don't seem to recognize a Gospel Jesus. They are not the same Jesus. One of them is the "another Jesus whom we don't preach" I suspect. Paul's Jesus was cosmic in the heavens and hallucinatory.

    II Corinthians 11:4 "Paul" complains...

…3I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily. 5I consider myself in no way inferior to those “super-apostles.”… (Peter, James, John?)

Scholars are not confident Paul actually wrote 11 Corinthians but rather it was written in his name or style. The real Paul died before the Gospels were ever penned so knew no physical or Gospel Jesus in his lifetime. He certainly doesn't quote him or tell any of the Gospel tales about him that would have served his arguments better than the ones he came up with without Gospel Jesus.

So are the COGDom Leaders. They like Paul in personality and "authority" but don't understand Paul actually negated everything they hold docrinally near and dear.

    Sorry, I stray... :)

  12. All of you bad boys had better behave. Since Malm is now a prophet and one of the two witnesses he just might be able to call those bears out to kill you. He gleefully wrote about the bears killing all of the rebellious kids that mocked the prophet from the Old Testament.

The other funny thing about all of this Malm mocking is that none of it would be happening if he had removed his dig against Dennis.

  13. Hard to believe the king of self righteousness and know it all James Malm would accuse someone else of making it a career of attacking others when he has been doing it all along, obviously he is blind to his attacks. Putting other churches of God and.their leaders down is his specialty because he disagrees with them on certain issues and of course he is right about everything. He has been causing division for years. If Dennis is waiting for James Malm to admit he was wrong (about anything) he will be waiting until kingdom come, instead all he did was through his self righteousness go on the attack, again. James is not a humble person person whereas he could admit to being wrong. He is a one man show thinking highly of himself as if he is a somebody special, he is deceived about that and has deceived others along the way. I only go by the fruits of his writings and what he has said. He will never allow any comments on his blog that prove him wrong in anything and will only post what he agrees with and things that make him look good. He does have a lot of truth in what he writes as far as Gods word goes but so do others, it's the error he adds to the truth that makes it all error, truth and error mixed confuses and divides people,

    ReplyDelete
  14. Why would James Malm publicly accuse Dennis like this without any proof what so ever and then refuse to apologize for doing so. Again, in James Malm fashion he slams and accuses someone, how Godly of him. Dennis goes to him and tries to get James to see how wrong he is, like we are supposed to do, but of course James can't handle anything that would take humility and denies him. Talk about practicing what you preach, James is not only denying Dennis but he is also denying God and his word.

  15. MAYBE...

It was Malm that influenced the Scarboroughs to file the lawsuit against Meredith!

Yeah, Yeah, thats it.... Ummm..... Malm with all his negativity, vitriol and hatred, counseled and made the Scarboroughs attack Roderick Meredith!

    >>>Malm pulls crap out of his rear end constantly and posts it at his pitiful site in every effort to appear to be a "somebody in the know". He has no inside scoops, tries to guess what is going on, and then package it as "exclusive reporting". Somewhere in the Bible there is a persona that is called "the father of all lies". Malm is in league with that father.

It's a way for many to right their personal ship and recalibrate their life compass after so many years of being gaslighted. This whole Meredith-Scarborough debacle is the result of a clear case of gaslighting within LCG.

James Malm has instead chosen to get into the gaslighting business himself.

  21. James, to speak the truth, is pretty much like those that he criticizes and rebukes on an almost continuous basis. None of them would admit that they are wrong or have made a mistake. The reason for this, is that they have to keep up the facade, fearing that they would lose supporters if they are seen to be in error.

More and more, I am getting fed up with 'religion' and the proponents of religion. I am beginning to think that the entire mess is totally unfruitful, much like facebook is becoming, and one should just 'hide' themselves, study their bibles, and just wait. Have a personal relationship with the Most High, but wait upon Him to do His will, and hope that you have enough discernment to determine what that will is, so that you can aline yourself with it, when and if it happens.

  28. James is no different from anyone else who use the basic platform of Armstrongism as their world view and guiding paradigms. Such folk believe that depth comes from a deeper understanding of all that is inherent in that platform, and fail to realize that there is an entire world of information out there to explore in an attempt to reach greater understandings. There are those who fault HWA, and acknowledge his character flaws while still believing 98% of what HWA taught. There are those who recognize HWA's crude proof-texting mode of research, but then simply seek out more athoritative resources in their own proof-texting to validate what he taught, and then pride themselves in having the real deal. There isn't a heck of a lot of really deep thinking done in the anti-intellectual world of Armstrongism, where shallowness that barely scratches the surface of most of the deep philosophical questions and issues of human existence is considered to suffice as possessing all of the answers. People just can't help but be what they are. Their crime is attempting to teach what they think they know to others, limiting all who would follow them by claiming to be the one stop source of all pertinent information, God's revelator in this time frame, the single source for truth. Isn't that how we all got into trouble in the first place?

We live in the entitlement culture. People are saturated by it. Most do not even comprehend ownership. I have spent hours and hours doing things for people inside and outside the church, without being able to get a cup of coffee in return. So don't tell me you have gotten the point. You and your customers treat trade as nothing more than a set of rules, no different to parking rules. Change to a informal setting, these same customers will rob you blind without feeling that they are doing anything wrong. No Bob, you 'don't get it,' neither do your retirees or the man on the street.

  38. TG: Obviously, you know nothing about me, or my customers. In fact it sounds as if you might be from New York City. Where I live and function is a completly different part of the country, and there is still a sense of fairness. If you don't play fair, trading equal for equal and standing behind your products, you get blackballed quickly. And usually, when there is talk of much appreciated rights, the conversation is about the Second Amendment.

Most people have no idea that trade is what has kept us out of WWIII. But, keep on hammering. Seems like you've already got a cadre of people who are bragging about avoiding your posts.

  41. I'm one more who sees "Trading Guy" and skips to the next comment. It's not like I necessarily disagree with all his points or the general point of view, it's just that the one-trick-pony obsession with the pet doctrine hobby horse gets old real fast. The fixation alone is very unappealing to me. And it's not like that point of view necessarily answers any important questions or offers some kind of a panacea. It's just like, "Yeah, so what? Bargsin Bob, according to Ludwig von Moses, it's Americas economic isolationism that encouraged Japan and Germany to go to war, since both were dependent on foreign trade. 64. "Trumps trade policies are dangerous. Mrs Clintons expanding nanny state will crash the economy."

Does that mean you're not gonna vote, TradingGuy?

BTW, are you aware that her husband's policies as President coincided with an economic expansion that stands as the longest boom in U.S. history?

  65. I thought Germany went to war because Hitler was a nutcase.

  67. Steve Carson said... I think all acog's talk about "THE WORK!" Yet I've never heard John 6:29 [Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)] quoted. Too simple to follow I guess. Steve Carson Jacksonville N.C.

Great point, Steve, especially in regards to LCG, who thinks it is doing the "most important work on the face of the earth." But let me ask, do they have any intent to "make disciples" as Jesus commanded in Matt 28? If so, show me. Do they have any intent to baptize, as Jesus commanded? If so, where would I see that LCG goal? As you said Steve, do they have any intention doing John 6:29 and turning non-believers into believers? If so, show me that is their intent. Do they have any intent to do as Paul did in 1 Cor 9:22 "that by any means I might save some"? Do they realize the goal of Mark's Great Commission is that people be saved? Answers? No, no, no, no, and no. Yet they have the audacity to say they are doing a "powerful" work, when all they do sit in their cushy studio doing something Jesus never commanded us to do, namely, preach the gospel to the world as a witness. In fact, they put forth all their effort doing something Jesus never told us to do, while not doing what He did tell us to do! No, Christianity is about changing the real lives of real people. Getting down there in the nitty-gritty of real life and making a difference. But no, LCG will just buy TV time, and leave the rest up to God.

  68. 7.15 AM The expansion since Reagan has been built and fueled by economic debt. It is a house built on sand, with the predictable outcome of economic ruin. Hitler needs to be respected as a accurate embodiment and physical manifestation of the German people. Calling him a nutcase is a over simplification. The Germans at the time loved and worshiped the man.
9.04 PM my spell checker-corrector seems to have a life of its own. Mises and Milton Friedman and similar, are regarded as nutcases because of their 'there aint no free lunch' policies. It's the shoot the messenger reaction.

  69. Interesting. Dennis' August 8 comment on Shining Light has been removed, and the post has been edited to read "It appears that the Scarborough’s really had no case after all, and this seems to have been egged on and possibly even orchestrated by the anti God website Banned by HWA."
    Poof! Evidence of libel gone!

  70. Heh, I don't think NO2HWA or any of us regulars knew the Scarboroughs prior to their case either, but he has to set up some kind of big bad nefarious, ghostly enemy just to support his case.

  71. "[T]he leaders cannot claim ignorance come judgment day. Members in all 'Christian' churches are being robbed by predatory ministers and members, due to not knowing trade. As Christ said 'beware of the (anti trade) Pharisees.' Cheers TradingGuy"

    Here's a 'truth" for ya:
The wackiest, kookiest and most mentally deluded purveyors of religious ideas are those who skate on the thin ice of their supposed sanity and tell people, "You'll be sorry on Judgement Day if you don't heed these mighty truthy words!"

It's a bold yet desperate attempt to sure-up something in one's mind, whose foundations have largely unraveled.

  73. 10.44 AM it's the ministers wet dream to able to say come judgment day "but Lord, the reason I ignored trade is because Herbie and his publications made no mention of it. If I had known trade, l would have applied, and taught it, honest."
I am trying to deny these lying ministers this excuse, yet you critics me, not them.
Whose side are you on, the ministers or their victims.
Are you a minister or a son of a minister?
