Dave's god is an angry god that is going to wreck havoc in the various COG's as he slaughters their leaders and burns up all members who refuse to join Dave on the dark side.
Cut off three shepherds in one month…My soul loathed them; they loathed Me [verse 8]…And, then I said to all the rest of them, I’m done with you [verse 9]. Well, of course, they are—they’re bound into bundles to be burned. That’s what it says. Matthew 13:30, they’re ultimately bound into bundles to be burned…in a furnace of fire. It says that three different times in Matthew 13 alone, and this whole thing opens with a fire…You can no more have the wicked on Earth working openly against Christ when He reigns at Zion…than you can have the devil and his angels on the earth. You can’t get anything done. You can’t get anything done in the Church, if people can divide and disagree, and just blow things off and do it with impunity—and they are viewed like everybody else. It tears everything up. You won’t get anywhere in the world—and you won’t get anywhere in the Church—if you don’t remove people……When it says they are “ashes under our feet,” I have come to realize they are going to be ashes under our feet—or God is a liar—because He says it over and over and over again, and then expects us to believe He didn’t mean it. What’s coming on the Church is serious. I have come, clearly, to understand…I could take you to four places…the tares are taken out of the Church, they’re bundled, put under the foolish shepherd and they wait awhile, and then they are burnt—but not until later at the harvest, mentioned in Matthew 13:30……
So the Flurryites, believing & practicing 99% similar to Pack group, still don't make the cut! That's rough!
ReplyDeleteIt's in the dna of ACOG leaders and members to believe and teach that it's every other splinter besides one's own that is either Laodicean, will be moved out of the way, or will see the wisdom of joining the right group.
ReplyDeleteHow does Dave read himself and the RCG into this in the first place? Verse 37 plainly states that the sower of good seed is the "Son of man".
Is Dave claiming to be Jesus?
Verse 39 identifies the enemy who sowed the tares as being the devil. Is Dave calling the other groups that teach Armstrongism "the devil"? Verse 38 states that the tares are the children of the devil. Does Dave believe that people who study, pray, keep the sabbath and holy days, tithe, and eat clean meats are children of the devil? Wouldn't the children of the devil be the ones who seduced children of God, got them hooked on drugs, or turned them into criminals?
I think he's got his timeline and definitions off! Much too narrow! He's bringing something into the next "3 to 5 years" that is actually spread out amongst several resurrections, and he's burning up wheat that might be just a slightly different shade of color right along with the weeds that have the negative value of having choked out some of the wheat!
What a stretch and a misapplication! Hope I haven't been harsh or unchristian in my analysis of Dave's approach, but I believe that in attempting to aggrandize himself and his group, he has seriously missed the mark. And, that's why his prophecy was such a failure three years ago!

Sometimes I wonder whether men like Flurry, Meredith, and Billingsley might have died ten years ago or more, except that God is keeping them alive just to spite the Weinlands and Packs who like vultures prophesy their deaths and plan to share in the spoils.
ReplyDeleteIf the "ashes under your feet" is that literal, I'm wondering where Dennis Luker is buried.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, he could have been counted as the first dead COG leader - and it's been several years now.
Oh come on Dave! The 3 dudes dying stuff is soooo yesterday!! You claimed it would happen spectacularly and no one would miss it on August 30,2013! Then spring of 2014- then fall of 2014- then spring or early summer of 2015- then it could happen at any time!!! Give it up man! It's never going to happen because it's all just a figment of your imagination!
ReplyDeleteI suppose there's not much hope for reconciliation for all the ACoGs in preparation for the non coming....
ReplyDeleteMixing a line from a parable in Matthew with a line from a prophecy in Malachi. An ultimate abuse of the misunderstood "here a little" from Isaiah - or "precept upon precept" from 2 Nephi (Book of Mormon).
