What Will Be the Cost of Silence on Dave's Rants?
"15) Next, for those who will see the value of how to pursue spiritual
matters, there is this: After fervently seeking God about it, not one
reason the prophecy is off this year ever emerged in the minds of even one
of our 16 Headquarters ministers! I (we) have NEVER prayed about, studied over,
meditated on, fasted about and counseled with other ministers regarding a
subject more than this one—in fact no other subject is even close!"
Dave Pack
Why Unification Now (2013)
I do recommend remaining silent in these churches. Otherwise the mafia ministers verbally bash you for not have the 'right' beliefs and the 'right' attitudes. Even Tony Soprano allowed freedom of thought and expression to his 'lieutenants.'
ReplyDeleteIf Armstrongism, and its more bizarre derivatives, are not connected to God, then they would be unimportant to God, and the fasting and praying if its alleged leaders would be ineffectual and inconsequential, regardless of the superlatives that are used to describe them. Their "prophecies" become a continuing testimony against them, in spite of the volume of their constant barking, and their attempts to maintain the heat. Hopefully, Dave's target audience is sophisticated enough to recognize him and his pronouncements for the cartoon caricatures which they really are.

Look folks, if Davie sends out a letter to be read in all the churches and it advocates all those who can come, come to Wadsworth and there ae mentions of 'The Place of Safety', it's time you high-tailed out of sight, stayed home and batten down the hatches.
ReplyDeleteNow one would expect with the blatant signs of meltdown, possibly severe depression, paranoia, schizophrenia, isolationism and maybe alcoholism, that Dixie Cartrite (sp!) over at The Journal would employ heretofore unexhibited journalism and create an article at least subtly warning that, well, there may be cause for concern and people should consider alternatives to RCG and David Pack.
It would be the responsible thing to do.
Would that ever happen?
Let's just say that it's all hyperbole until it isn't.
The year is now 2016, soon to be 2017.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the two most popular Christian TV networks- Daystar and Trinity Broadcasting Network- are chock full of greedy barking nutcase wackos should be enough to show that their Christian target audience lacks any basic intellectual sophistication.
The issue isn't clear -- what was it again?
ReplyDeletePerhaps it was whether or not the RCG should exist any more.
It doesn't take a lot of fasting and praying to come up with the right answer for that.
The men who serve under David C Pack are impotent "yes men" who have no integrity left to salvage. They give their blessings to everything he does or says, no matter how ridiculous. They know it is wrong and do nothing.
ReplyDeleteHAhaha...lol, they emptied the coop!
ReplyDelete"I'M running out of time, and out of love,
I got the holy word, now Picture this!
Passion killing, there's just too much,
I'M the only one you need to trust.
You'll see MY face every time you dream,
On every page and every single screen,
why is reality so far from ME?
I'M all you want, the FANTASY!"

ReplyDeleteIs this different than those "serving" on Joey Junior's Grace Communion International's "dummy board" of directors?
Having yes-men around to verify one's declarations and ideas is a hallmark of those who need to self-aggrandize.
